    Taiwanese baseball or real baseball?

Was Chien Ming-Wang a real player? There are more coming. Work for a MLB team. The guys who scout for the pro leagues here actually have a much harder job than I have. About five guys a year will sign with a MLB club. They have to scout everybody.

And, by the way, ***** on Asian baseball at your peril. These boys can play.

  2. He is one of the only "bang you miss me and I'm gone" guys we have on offense.

As a professional baseball scout, I can say, with clear conviction, I don't know what we should do.

    Probably not 15 million.

How much of him being able to hit big plays is the result of the fear of Allen running? Linebackers in limbo.

I really don't know. But I like him at 10 mil per for three years. Good money for an

a RB if you're not saquon.

Or, maybe other guys could take the same advantages of having linebackers in limbo for 3 mil a year.

Welcome to running a running an organization. Not easy.

  3. On the final meaningful play of the season, we were badly, horrifically, terribly out schemed and he somehow managed to hit Kincaid in the hands with ten people in his face.

He's the best qb I've ever seen. Please please win one. We'll never see this again (talking to the 50 and over crowd. Ha)

Two firsts, a second, and Greg Bell. It was a 3 way deal though. The Colts ended up with Eric Dickerson and the Rams got all the draft choices and Bell and another guy.

Ah, that's right. And I think the rams got a bunch of duds like Aaron Cox and such.

The idea that Diggs somehow cared more than the others which resulted in asinine behavior is just absurd.

Reminds me of fans that claim they care more about a SB than the rest cause they cant stop criticizing the team ad nauseam.

Every game day I want people to stand by all the vitriol that they write. Every fan base has a level of toxicity (bench Judge circa April 2024) that is unfortunately in step with the times, and ours is right there. I get knee jerk reactions, but game day threads make me happy I fled the country.

2 firsts, a 2nd, a 4th and a 6th may not be enough for a guy who needs surgery this offseason who isn't a QB?  And you think it may not be enough?  Not only will he not go for more than that, but even that much is far fetched.  If the Browns fleece someone for that, then kudos to them.

Question...can you think of another in season trade for a vet that netter that much compensation?  I honestly can't, doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but I can't think of any non QB going for that much in trade during a season.

People do over estimate trade values all the time though.

I think you're right, but we gave up some serious stock for Cornelius Bennett if memory serves.

But Garrett shouldn't get anything close to that in return.

I only hope the next 100 games go more slowly so I can enjoy and savor each one... it almost sometimes seems like a blur.

Truly a blessing to have a legitimately great quarterback AND a person who's so easy to root for.

That's time, my friend. Wait until you're fifty, unless you already are. The kid who couldn't hold his head up on the couch during the Yankees 2007 season is throwing 92, five inches taller than you, and it happened in two minutes.

  8. Different situation reminds of another beane talking to David justice in money ball. The Yankees are paying you six million to play against them. Ha. The bills are 30 million in the hole (whatever it is) and comfortable with him on a team they may play in January.

I’ll reply to both because they are related to my response.

i no longer live in WNY but travel there frequently as I am still a season ticket holder. I am contributing a good amt of my $ to the WNY economy with these trips. I enjoy my trips ‘home’ but do not consider them a vacation.

Regarding the NFL & MLB. I posted this in another thread but, imo, the demise of MLB was removal of the salary cap. I was an intense follower of MLB as a kid and also as a young adult. The teams with the most $ can poach the best players from other teams. There are some players on these teams whose yearly salary is more than the team salary of some clubs. I nol longer follow baseball or pay for any streaming. I still like the game and may watch a game infrequently when it’s free.

If the NFL rescinded the salary cap, then I would no longer follow the Bills and the NFL. The Bills may be able to pull an Oakland A’s moneyball for a short while but the big money teams would reap the benefit of no salary cap. The Packers, Bills, Bengals, Colts, etc. would have difficulty competing consistently. The current salary cap helps level the playing field.

MLB never had a salary cap, so far as I know.

Coleman and Shakir might actually be able to execute on those due to their physicality.  Diggs can break a tackle but he did surprisingly little with those screens.

True, he made some guys miss but it definitely wasn't his bread and butter. Definitely not a guy who could break a tackle, needed to make a guy miss. If the play was diagnosed, it was generally dead.

  11. To be fair, I'd like to see a lot less wide receiver screens. Unless, of course they're a set up for actually using Allen's arm down field.

I get the sense that McDermott wants to reign in Josh and that is such a mistake. Like he'd be happier with Chad Pennington under center.
