  1. He can't catch the football according to Mel Kiper oh no!!! I'm guessing the opposition didn't throw at him all that much. I really like this pick our defense is going to develop into a beast or the players will develop and then they'll be a beast for another team

He'll reach his prime just in time to sign a $100 million contract with San Francisco.

  2. Buffalo was feeding the press Devin Thomas all month and a lot of you here bought it.

McKelvin was on top of their board all month and he luckily fell to us. I love this pick.

What's to love--how is this guy going to make a difference? He can't catch the football.

    We should have traded down.

  3. The Newest Bill is CB Leodis McKlevin Troy.......i hope he does great in Buffalo but i will not be satisfied if we do not get Sweed,Hardy,or Kelly ahhhhhhhhhhhh

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just drafted Antoine Winfield-another CB who can't catch.

In five years, we'll have to draft another in the first.

    DUMB DUMB DUMB

    I'm not watching anymore.

  4. Calm down bro'. It's not like we're talking bad about one of your family members. You're also not getting the 5% as his agent or anything. This love-fest for the guy is starting to get a little strange. Calm down and have a  Or maybe that's the problem, you get angry when you drink :(

I'm not upset :thumbsup:with you--I'm just having passionate discussion. I do get carried away, I admit.

    We're friends.

  5. The bills are about to be on the clock. Getting kinda nervous. Looks like Rivers goes to CIN, that means NE probably goes Albert or McKelvin. So the Bills are lookng at Thomas, Rodger-Cromartie, Philip Merling ... I hope they trade down.

    I agree... PLEASE GOD--NO CORNERS!!

  6. While I have no names posted yet, I bill-ieve this is how Buffalo's board should go down:

Trade down #11 for another second.

    1-WR

    2A-CB

    2B-DE

    3-TE

    4A-FB

    4B-OLB

    5-QB

    6-C

    7A-WR/KR

    7B-FS

You have to draft center higher than six and no lower than four. If for some ungodly reason we have to live with Fowler this year, he is definitley gone next year, and we'll definitely need a solid center this time around. You can't win championships without a very good center. Put the CB in the fourth round, but of course this all depends on who grades out higher that is left on the board.

  7. While I have been a strong proponent of us going WR in round one, the value is truly in round two.

Although risky, it may be the best COA for us to go CB first and then WR, either by waiting or trading up a bit.

Ultimately I think we'll trade down and go WR, which is wise.

Personally I want us to draft James Hardy in round one, don't care where.

I would love Hardy as well. We can move down. But if we stay at 11, I'll be super-pissed if we take any corner. I rather draft Rivers/Harvey and move up in a trade to a late first a la McCargo and grab Hardy. Then get your TE or Pollak in the third. Bravissimo.

  8. He's athletic in a tight end kind of way. He looks much too lumbering to make a serious impact as a starting outside NFL reciever. Just because a guy excels at the college level doesn't automatically mean that will translate on the pro level. Nelson looks like a great college receiver that will make a good slot and backup NFL receiver. He is in no way shape or form, the answer to the Bills #2 receiver problems.

How in the heck is a 4.49 lumbering especially a kid known to run precise routes? Please explain that to me.

  9. Not sure about production yet, but Will Franklin (4.37) and paul Hubbard (4.38) will scare a defense a heck of a lot more.

Yes, because the faster you are, the better you will be as a pro.

An unbelievable 122 receptions and 11 TDs mean nothing because he runs a 4.5. If I remember correctly, A guy named Reed ran a 'slow' 4.5 but no one could cover him.

    Oh boy.

  10. Just to get off the draft for a bit, I just noticed we end the schedule in Denver and at home against NE. Seems to be this has all the makings of the last two years--chance to make playoffs and end up losing the last two games. I guess the schedule-makers figured we'll take it easy on the Bills the first few weeks and nail them at the end instead.

  11. McKelvin is the top rated corner in the draft by everyone. Have not heard anything bad about him.

DRC on the other hand has his detractors.

I would love it if we could move up and grab McKelvin, as long as we still get a WR. Don't think it's possible though cause it would probably cost us the 2nd round pick to move up.

Move up to get a CB? I admit I'm not the most knowledgeable on this board, but give picks away to get a CB? If I'm going to move up, I want Gholsten. I'm sorry I just don't think CB is a premier need, it is a bonus pick, not an essential. CBs aren't game changers like lineman or pass-rushing LBs. JMO for whatever it is worth. Just draft Harvey or Rivers and lets move on to the second round and get our WR.

  12. Yeah, 29th in pass defense is "playing real well."

You can fault the pass-rush and the linebackers for their role in covering the middle of the field. The cornerbacks played well. We don't need a stinkin' cornerback until the middle rounds. This is the year Youboty steps up.

  13. It wouldn't do anythign to upgrade at center. He could move to tackle and Walker can play guard, with Butler as a reserve or he could play guard next to Walker. Either way Fowler is still the center. No way a guy who is 6' 7" going to be able to play center.

You wouldn't upgrade the center position in this draft at all, or am I misunderstanding you. There are some good values in the fourth round that might give Fowler a tussle for the starting position. Fowler stinks.

  14. Seriously though.........You draft according to your teams needs. If the guy fits the system he fits no matter where you select.

Disagree...in the first round you draft the best player available on the board. Drafting to need is dangerous because you are paying too much money and systems change down the line. You draft to need in the second. This is why I'd grab Rivers or Harvey if they are still available. If the Bills trade down then that is a different story. If Gholsten somehow slips, then my God you have to take him.

  15. Who's your backup?

Do you think so little of Losman's abilities that this isn't a valid question?

Yes, there are some decent journeymen out there and we still have the draft. I'm not saying JP can't be a decent back-up, I'm saying he doesn't want to be one, and he will serve as nothing but a distraction. In terms of value, anybody thinking we can get better than a 4 is on drugs. It doesn't matter if he was drafted in the first round, he is a laughingstock around the league, the same way other team's boards laugh at us thinking we can get a second or a third or both.

  16. giving away Losman for anything less than a high #2 is just plain stupid and a waste of resources.

they will create anoher huge hole in the roster which they will overspend to try to fill with a rookie QB.

if this deal goes down, you can be sure that someone in the front office is on the treadmill to nowwhere wondering why the scenery does not change.

How are you going to gat a high 2 for a guy who has accomplished basically...nothing. If they offer us a four, run with it. Personally, I don't think he's worth a four.

  17. I don't see how you can say that drafting any postion would be a disaster. Last I checked we don't have multiple pro bowlers at cb, ol, dt, wr, lb, or de. So if they think that the guy most likely to be a pro bowler is a cb (lets suspend disbelief and pretend these things are even semi-predictable), then take cb. If they think its an o-lineman, than take an o-lineman, etc, etc. We're just not a good enough team right now to draft for need. They've gotta take the best player available, no matter what position he plays.

Because CB has very little impact and when was the last time we re-signed a starting CB? Odomes, Winfield, Clements...it's a wasted pick. If Keith Rivers is there-grab him. I would take Harvey as well.

These two guys would go into the rotation and help us right away. We can grab a very good receiver in the second (or we can move up into the first if necessary) and our te in the third. Then go get your cb.

  18. One things for sure, Poz and Conner would push each other to their limits. I know people will say we don't need a LB, but I would love to have both of those guys on my team.

Can a team win with two white liebackers?
