It’s exactly because of all those close losses that McD is on the hot seat.

How many times does an opponent get a free release with the game on the line before we replace the guy who keeps calling it?

And a bunch of those losses are to teams we are clearly better than and shouldn't have even been close.

Are we ignoring the 60 yard luck shot in the pouring rain? I mean come on people, the calls for McD’s head were more appropriate vs the Broncos flop…not when you lose a shootout in OT to the reigning NFC champs.

I get the frustration, and the pattern it plays to, but there are bigger issues than McD in this game.

You mean you didn't love McD saving the Eagles by gifting them and their kicker a TO to compose himself?

Very sporting of him, I thought....

Yet again McClappy screws us again!!!!

Absolutely brutal. Why the heck do you do that when he's got a 60 yarder. Make him kick it in a rush.

Idiotic. A fireable offense, in my opinion, especially after he due the exact same thing vs the Broncos just 2 weeks ago.

I actually met and spoke to real life Bills fans - I shall remain locked away at home in Sweden from now on and speak to no one!

    @BritBill@GrimboG@MattM@Peter

Indeed--our meal must have tipped the cosmic balance--either that or my forgetting to bring my Buffalo Bills colors cloth football I got for Christmas in the early '70's the year I got all Bills stuff for Christmas and which I've kept alI these years later and grip tightly every game I watch at home!

    That must have been it!

What a brilliant curry night on Brick Lane. Great food and even better company.

Thank you so much to everyone who made it. We even had @NI Bills Fan call in through the window and other Bills fans give us a GO BILLS! as they walked by the restaurant.

The evening was an absolute pleasure.

Many, many thanks for putting that together last night—my son and I had a great time visiting a part of the city we wouldn’t have without some local help!

And yes, please @GrimboG on sharing the photos, that would be much appreciated!

    Go Bills!

After this weekend, I envision a 21st century rewrite of 'Our American Cousin' to reflect Bills Mafia.

Speaking of the Jags’ owner, my son and I went to the Fulham-Sheffield Utd soccer game today and sat next to an old time Fulham fan who was (in a very British, understated way) cursing him out for not spending any money on the club. (He owns both Fulham FC and the Jags—thank God there’s no hockey team involved!)

Somewhat shockingly, the best seats in the house/stadium where Fulham plays are unusable because the builders did a crappy job and that part of their stadium is unstable. Unreal in the modern sports era I’d have thought.

Time to sue the builders and rebuild that part of the stadium…..

And yes, I second the emotion above about gazillions of Bills fans compared to a handful of Jags fans. I’ve never said “Go Bills!” this many times outside our stadium….

A possible alternative could be a National Express coach service into London Victoria. Cost to get that far into the City would be considerably less, and an Uber/black cab from there to wherever you are staying, would also be a lot cheaper. You will need to book in advance though (the coach), as they are bound to be extra busy due to the train/tube strikes.

Many thanks--I've decided to bite the gullet and just do a cab from the airport which my hotel arranged. Just don't want to get stranded on Friday--too much to try to do and see!

Well there ya go. Good thing we’re arriving on Thursday morning then! Fingers crossed.

We're unfortunately arriving on Friday, so I just tried to order a cab via our hotel's concierge desk. London also has Uber so we should all be prepared for surge pricing being in effect on Friday.

Time to check on what's near the hotel for Friday afternoon activities....

I do not believe the Express is part of The Tube system at all. They have their own ticketing and marketing system. It’s essentially a privately run train line….I think.

Many thanks again. This article lists the train lines impacted by the strikes (although it's tough to tell which days which lines are striking, as there are apparently several days) and unfortunately HE is in the list of striking railways:

We always take the HE to St Pancras because it’s then close to our hotel at Hyde Park. You can check online to see if they also have one that goes to Paddington but even if they don’t, just get on The Tube from St Pancras and head to your hotel. Not sure where you’re staying.

I take it back. I just looked it up. Paddington is actually closer to our hotel than St Pancras but even at that it’s just a couple of quick Tube stops to get to Hyde Park area. Getting around in London is super easy!

Many thanks—I agree that it’s normally super easy to get around London, but the day we arrive there is a Tube strike planned, so was wondering if that also means the HE will also not be running. I’d love to avoid having to book an advance taxi or car for $200 if we can, but also would hate to arrive and be stuck at the airport with no way into the city due to the strike.

Depending on where you’re headed in London I highly recommend booking a ticket on the Express. It’s cheap and you can do it online. You can even book it with a round trip for your return heading out.  It’ll get you into Central London in a matter of minutes with no stops direct from the airport. From St Pancrass Station you can then get just about anywhere on the Tube. Way, way faster and cheaper than every other alternative, and you hop on the train immediately inside Heathrow. Piece of cake!

Many thanks for the tip—one quick question. I’m arriving on the morning of Oct 6, a day when the Tube strike is on. Will that strike impact the HE? For ex. is the HE represented by the same union and thus be out on strike that day, too?

If not and the HE is still running, would I be able to take the HE to Paddington and then get a cab/Uber there to my hotel a few miles away? Or will cabs/Uber in London be swamped due to the strike?

Did anyone who was a season ticket holder go for them? I thought the Bills were doing a special link for ST but you had to pre register in May.

Just wonder if that was easier?

I was actually able to get in on the season ticket holders sale and got two upper deck end zone seats for about $120 each. As others noted, it was a cluster*****.  Only seats I saw were upper deck end zone and I clicked the link at 10:30 am sharp. As they were disappearing quickly I just clicked two and headed to check out.

I may try to upgrade if prices come down in better sections. My biggest challenge may be getting my son to be able to go, as he has school (I want to leave Thursday night to get more time there in) and may have his own cross country meet that weekend. My daughter's in college and may want to go (she went to the Fins playoff game with me), but we're in different cities, so may be a bit tricky.

I don't have tickets to the Bills game yet, but I do have:

    1) My ticket to London;

    2) My ticket to Arsenal v. Man City (COYG)

Fingers crossed that I will be able to get a ticket to the Bills game . . . .

Best of luck with the Bills lottery tomorrow!

Out of curiosity, how did you get the Arsenal tickets? I’ve been looking into the secondary market on that. Less than I might have thought considering the two teams, but still a bit stiff….

  14. I was able to get 2 in 452 (end zone upper deck). Very difficult to navigate the map/site.

I wanted 4, but they were going so quickly that I just checked out with the two.

Happy to have them, but will try again on Thursday (or in the aftermarket) for more/better seats.

Now I just need to convince my family to go to the game!
