  1. trade up with Jacksonville and draft Robert Griffin III...

next year we have a double headed MONSTER of Freddy and CJ running the ball. Healthy wide receivers, and big Tight End's to throw under...

most importantly, with RG3 our o-line will have less pressure as he can manipulate the pocket almost every play...

defenses will have a field day trying to guard the multiple options we can run every down (opens up Brad Smith even more)...

    _________

Kyle Williams back, and Dareus with experience our d-line is back in bizz...

Aaron Williams with experience and our secondary creates more turnovers (like we saw in the beginning of the year)

    _________

we had a great draft last year and can afford to trade up, not to mention the Lynch trade pick we can move...

    DO IT BILLS, DO IT!

Ah to be young and dream big. Unfortunately Nix is old and values every draft pick more than gold. No way he even gives up one nuget to move up in the first round.

Point 2. Forget QB. If it isn't LT the pick will be defense. LB, DE DT CB...oh did I say LB

  2. They don't have final say over personnel in this franchise. Littmann and Brandon are running this team, standing behind the curtain, and making the budget. Nix, Whaley, and Gailey are basically the front men for an organization run by people who don't care about anything but the bottom line. Firing Gailey or anyone has to be approved at the highest level because it affects the bottom line.

Well Littmann (treasurer) & Overdorf a longtime Wilson friend have been calling the financial shots more and more ever since Wilson fired Tom Donahoe. Brandon answers to them but has no real say in who gets paid what anymore from what I understand. That decision comes from Detroit. The last time to my knowledge that Russ Brandon was directly involved in any contract negotiations was the Jason Peters fisco when he told us that Peter's agent would not return any of his calls. Don't look for any big FA signings either as spending will continue at the absolute minimum until the new collective labor agreement dictates otherwise that all teams spend to the cap. Buddy Nix's hands are tied but he'll never tell you that.

  3. 1) How freaking smart is Simon? Seriously. He told us that Dwan Edwards could play. He did. Look at my thoughts from last week. Thank you SDS for providing us a site on which internet posters know more than the people who actually run this football team. And yes, D. Edwards played a very good game.

    2) Bell sucked today. He flat out sucked. Please, disagree with me if you will. Let's discuss it. I make the contention that he was a bag of s&^t.

    3) It was sad watching Fitz today.

    4) The Grateful Dead is back due to John Kadlecik. Got my tickets for April 7, 2012 in Wallingford, Ct. if anyone cares. :)

    5) One more shout-out to Marcel Dareus. He's a great kid.

    6) Spiller had a great statistical game. If anyone wants to blast me for calling this a stupid pick, you really should do so. It's all cool.

    7) I am proud to be a Bills Fan, and always will be. You will never read a post from me about giving up, etc. It's too late for this. I watched the game today with some great people. Diehard Bills fans and great friends. It's all cool.

    8) They need to re-sign Urbik. Seriously, he is good. he belongs on our roster.

    9) GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Bill I enjoy your reading your thoughts after each game. I still don't like the Spiller pick, but it is what it is. Like I told you at the time, Spiller was by far rated higher then the next rated player. Buddy Nix has been playing his cards closer to the vest since then. It was a not so secret, secret that they were very high on Spiller.

Dareus is a good one...solid pick who with any consistent help next to him would silence most naysayers thus far.

On a bad line Bell was the least of our problems, at least this game. Maybe the Bills are just showcasing Bell, hoping he can be delt at draft time with good outings now. Just speculation. He's missed most of the season so we'll watch to see how he finishes out the season

I really really hope that what Gailey spouted about Fitz is just BS. Fitz can be cut after next season with a minimal cap consequence. I wonder if Buddy Nix will be given the green light to draft a QB in the 1st round by Wilson's bean counters if they see the mass exodus of club seat owners not renewing (95% due for renewal)or seeing the floor drop out on season ticket sales.

We need 2 outside backers and one inside. Barnett was the best out of this motley crew.

IMO this arguably George Wilson's worst game this season from my vantage point at the stadium.

Lucky You  on going to see the Grateful Dead. Enjoy, you deserve it. You are one of the good guys here and am lucky to count you as a friend.

The bond of eternal optimism we all share. Next year will be better. We look for that glimmer of Hope to hang our hat on. Been doing that for 49 years of going to games so like You I part with GO BILLS !!!

  4. Email to Mr. Wilson:

Game receipts were okay today, but the declining attendance will probably require some BS from you saying were are going to turn this thing around. I suggest the 2001 speech (They won't remember that already you said that ten years ago). Hope you and the family are doing well and will have a merry Christmas. Ebeneezer, I mean Ralph, per your request we let go a few more of the office staff, to make our personnel costs look more attractive to a new buyer. It'll mean that fewer customers will be able to contact us by phone, but we'll just say that there have been lots of calls for next year's season tickets. Maintenance has been complaining that they have no way to clean the artificial turf in the stadium between games, so we bought them a carpet sweeper and a long extension cord. That means no bonus for them this year. That was a great idea by you of avoiding the purchase of extra uniforms by having them double-sided. Now when we have a throwback day, we just turn their regular uniforms inside out.

    Littman

    p.s. The Bills lost.

    :worthy::worthy:

...............and probably not far from the truth either. Most of the "old guard" was canned by Tom Donahoe. Maybe they cut corners in the ticket office and fire the 4 Canadians in charge. Everyone I knew there was canned when this Toronto BS started. As far as RW, I don't think we'll see him at RWS again this season. I saw him one time and that was it, though I didn't have a chance to talk with him like in years past.

  5. Until the team changes ownership just keep Nix here. What's the point of starting over every two years when Ralph still owns the team?

    PTR

Wouldn't surprise me if Buddy Nix stepped down after next years draft. Talked to Buddy in the club last month and could tell the stress on his face. He's aged since I had the chance two years ago to welcome him back at a December Booster meeting.

  6. Start un-occupy Ralph Wilson stadium

LOL that started last game. Looked like a pre-seson game and expect the last two home games to be worse. Maybe if season tickets next year go below 20 grand maybe Wilson's bean counters will allow Buddy Nix to bring in some talent.

  7. The defence hasn't kept us from the playoffs. Having an offence that spots the opponents more points then it can put up is whats keeping this team down. They will ride out the season with Edwarsd as the DC, and then at the end of the year he will be let go and everyone will get their wish with the 'stache getting the position.

They won't let Gailey go, the only way he goes is if he steps down at the end of the season and retires, which is possible and it will mean another re-build starts again

Gailey won't be fired. Same goes for Edwards. They both come cheap and doubt Ralph's bean counters who really run the money show, would be willing to pay any other coaches what it would cost to lure them here. Heck up until the last game RWS has been selling out so what insentive is there to spend on a better front office and coaches ? Those old enough to remember that the other newspaper we had here in Buffalo-The Couier Express-was the only one that often ripped into RW fow being cheap. Crickets from this rag of a newspaper now.Big money calls the shots and no way will they step on Wilson's toes so don't ever expect the truth about this organization. But, but Jerry Sullivan rips into the Bills you might say. True but his is an opinion column and even his triades are puff balls compared to what was written by columnists, especially in the late 60's when Ralph Wilson was threatening to move the Bills if he didn't get a new stadium. Those days of hard-nosed, truth seeking journalism are long gone. Big money now rules the not-so-free press.

  8. ...might be longer, remember Bills management is comatose during free agency!!!

    Now that's a Deep Sleep !!

Buddy Nix is 72 so I don't expect him to be awake at midnight when FA starts. He needs his sleep to be able to remember what to do the next day and even so it is only a 50-50 chance he'll remember. Don't think so..get old you'll find out, that is if you remember !

  9. It will take this team being in Los Angeles or Toronto with a new owner. I don't think that Ralph Wilson WANTs

to lose, but the entire organization is a joke. They can't identify good young players and coach them into good

NFL players. The coaching staff must be held accountable, but so must the front office who has missed on

    several high picks.

This franchise is in complete limbo, but there is no happy ending coming. Ralph Wilson will eventually pass

away and the team will end up in LA or Toronto. THEN, they will become good, just to rub salt into the

    considerable wounds.

LOL, I have been having nightmares that the headlines on the front page of the Buffalo News reads "Bye-Bye Bills". A new owner cleans out ALL the "OLD" deadwood and overnight the former BB's become a playoff team.

Ralph in his 90's, his bean counters are up there as is Nix at 71. This is an organization run by old guys. Forget Brandon, he's window dressing, no imput on players at all. It almost seems like this organization has run out of energy in aquiring talent needed to field a winner.

  10. I know, SD fans are terrible. We went there this year for the Packer game and the stadium was over half green and gold. Unreal. We travel well, but come on that is disgusting.

When I was stationed in San Diego in '71 I had a chance to see the Bills play at- I think it was Jack Murphy stadium in Mission Valley with a few other sailors from WNY. It was only about half full with a good number of empty seats below, so I explained to an usher that the 4 of us were from Buffalo (well area anyway)and would it be possible to move down closer to the field and Bills bench. He said he would check and get back to us. Toward the end of the first half he comes over and asks if we still want to move down as he can get us seats 15 rows from the field. Talk about happy after you have been going 12 hours a day for six days a week for 12 weeks with eight more to go at NTC, this one day was like a vacation for us. And altough the Bills lost 20- 3 and we were disappointed with the score, the high of happieness from just seeing our beloved Buffalo Bills play some 3,000 miles from home is a memory that alays brings a smile to my face.

  11. Crosby is the NHL equivalent of Tom Brady, for most fans. Too bad...should enjoy the greats, no matter what team they play for (except Miami) while they are still playing

So true. I enjoy watching the super stars that come to Buffalo to play against either the Bills or Sabres. IM glad that Crosby was able to play hockey again. Hope he has no more concussions as the sport of hockey just went up a notch with Croby's return.
