It’s more deceiving than the other 3 seasons, based on locale. We’re a third of the way through the season, but it was still quite chilly mid June. Northern kids don’t get out of school til late June, southern kids go back to school in 2 weeks. September still has around 20 days of official summer, but every kid has been in school for weeks by then. The temps regress considerably where changing leaves can be seen up north. In the south, there’s no indication summer is passing through mid-October. The other seasons can be monitored like a clock. (well, they all could, I suppose..)
