  1. "semi-lengthy"??

Actually, sitting in bed with my laptop, that turned out to be a good read. I agree with you for the most part. I have actually been very pleased to have TD, particularly following the Butler disaster. He has certainly done a reasonable job getting talented players to sign with the team, and creating a real sense of excitement about them despite being in the cellar just a couple of seasons ago. The 17-31 thing really does hang like a black cloud over everything, though, reminding me that generating excitement is one thing, but tangible results will always be the ultimate measure of success.

  2. If I could rid the world of Deion Sanders, I would probably nominate myself for king, it would be that valuable of a service to football and society.

Speaking of fast bigmouth !@#$s, does anyone else want to shove Maurice Greene's teeth down his throat?  Just watching that guy swagger around with that smug look on his face makes me fume.

It was nice to see Gatlin, who seems like a standup guy if there ever was one, beat him in the 100m.

I loved seeing Gatlin whip his ass in the 100m. Greene was so cocky it was making me ill.

  3. Notice how LA is about the only city looking seriously into aquiring an NFL franchise these days. 10 years ago, seems half a dozen cities were talking about it. Then the stock market Rosen hit and the NFL franchise fee soared. That elimated a lot of dreamers.

The stock market Rosen. I love it. How awesome is that?

  4. Kota - did i hook up with your sister and dump her ugly ass or something? Whats with the bug up your ass towards me? Do like everyone else, and take what i say lightly. Im not here to win the god-damn nobel prize of message boards, but I can see with your ability to use such amazing terms like "moron" that you indeed are.

That was f'in great. I read kota's post and couldn't wait to see what you'd say in response, and I almost spit my coffee out.

  5. If we had lost Jennings with the big injury, I would have been thinking " Boy , I hope Marcus Price is healed and ready to start ".  Losman is a tough blow but isn't going to cost us any games, since he was ticketed for clipboard duty and learning from Clements and Wyche. I didn't foresee a quick hook of Bledsoe from this coaching staff. Since Sam sits up in the press box for games, it would be wise to sit Losman right next to him and let him learn the offense. Probably find a Vet before the opener.

Meanwhile, I've seen improvement in Bledsoes game this summer. Still see the occasional pat of the ball but that's hypercritical . The accuracy and quality throws are hard to ignore. In the practices and 2 games I've witnessed, I've walked away encouraged. I'm well aware of his history and habits and never hesitated to rip him last season. Still, if the Bills stick to the run and quick pass, his mistakes are cut down drastically. So far, the coaching staff has stuck to their guns and that's a good thing. Seeing improvement in our O Line against the Titans just adds to my confidence.

Let's see. Bledsoe looks more confident and sharper. The O Line is slowly improving and giving Bledsoe a pocket. Moulds and Josh Reed look sharp. Solid at RB. TE's are OK. Lindell looks better. The Coaching seems MUCH better. The Defense still looks pretty good. The Special teams looks tons better. No starters with major injuries as of now.

I guess I'm just one of those Optimistic fans who sees the glass more than half full. Silly me.  <_<  :D

Lets get through these next 2 practice games healthy and ready ourselves for Jacksonville.

    GO BILLS !

You, sir, clearly do not have enough negative energy in your life. I recommend it. Look at all of the clear benefits of healthy negativity, it's evident all over this board. I think I have a prescription for it here somewhere, if you're interested....

  6. Where did that slob Lenny P. graduate medical school from? They don't even know exactly what bone in his leg is broken. They think it's his tibia. All the report said is that it's a broken bone in his leg and he is out indefinitley. He could be back in a month, two months, next year, never. If it's his fibia instead of his tibia or if it's both than it's longer than if it's just a tibia break. Is it a break or a fracture? Big difference there as well. Lenny P. knows crap about crap. Fat Bastard.

Highly doubtful it's his tibia. Fibulas (not fibias) are broken all the time in football. It's a small bone that is easily broken, especially just above the ankle, and it's often mistaken for an ankle sprain until they do the x-rays.

The tibia is the larger bone in the lower leg, and if that breaks, then you have a slightly bigger problem.

Break, fracture, no big difference. The type of fracture does matter, though.

  7. And as breaks go, a broken fibula isn't that bad.  Had one myself when I was Losman's age, and was back in about 4 weeks.  I imagine if they're estimating 8-10 for him, his is much more severe than mine was...but still, it's the kind of injury you come back from all the way.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was doing light workouts in the weight room in 4-6 weeks, just to get the leg back in battery and strengthen the knit bone.  Fibula's a non-weight-bearing bone, so it's perfectly possible he'll be doing weight training to recondition the leg by the first week of October.

You got it...the leg will generally be healed by 4-6 weeks, but it'll take another couple of weeks for him to be able to run full speed again and, more importantly, to be able to take a hit on it without it buckling. He'll probably be doing light practice with the team in 4-6.

But really, it doesn't matter much since we'd better not be needing him at all this season.

  8. Actually, it's probably a good thing it's a broken fibula rather than a high ankle sprain or something like that. Broken bones heal and generally don't present any lingering problems. Sprains, especially bad ones, can sometimes be tough to come back from.

Either way, I guess if JP was to see the field this year, we'd have been screwed anyway.
