Good. With Star gone now, we'll have somebody to gripe about next year.

Will the Bills get a comp pick?
more than likely depending on what the Bills do in FA

Didn't Beane already say that would not be very active in the FA market this year?

He’ll retire when Brady retires. Only came back so he play with Brady

The most fun player to watch in the NFL is Josh Allen. The least fun player to watch in the NFL is Tremaine Edmunds. There are lots of threads praising Josh and trashing Tremaine's production/performances. This thread is just about watching them play. Edmunds has the praise of coaches and peers who know a hell of a lot more about football than I do. But man, I hate watching him play. I have never seen a player who arrives on the screen just as the play is over more often than Edmunds. Maybe that just means he is out hustling everyone. But it drives me nuts.
could not agree more. He just never seems to make a difference when the chips are down.

in part because we've seen McDermott get overly conservative in these situations before.
so if he's been overly conservative in these situation before, one could argue that they have NOT learned, right? I know it's all monday morning quarterbacking and I am ill and underslept. There are a lot of good things that came out of this year but to be so close to hosting the championship game and not get it is particularly gut-wrenching. To quote Danny Glover "I'm getting too old for this sh**!"

I haven't entered the fray to talk who's fault it was, what might have been done differently, etc. I've seen several comments about the loss being on the coaches and how they did or did not manage the defense down the stretch. I have a variety of thoughts about all of that, and I might talk about it more later, but for now I want to respond this idea.
I don't think I agree with McDermott's defensive philosophy, but this "deer in the headlights" thing is wrong. That's what people said about the defense when they gave up some drives in the Houston playoff game, and they completely ignored multiple stops the defense made in that game, stops that allowed the Bills to get back into the game.
Last night, Hill had a humongus return late in the game, and the defense held on three downs and forced a field goal. A huge stand.
The fact that the Bills defense can't stop two of the top five offensive players in the league, at will, any time, is NOT the problem. Did the Chiefs also have a deer in the headlights look? They couldn't stop the Bills, either.
I get that. It was a chorus of errors. You could point to any one of them. Maybe I have been through this too many times, but even with 13 seconds left, I was not even celebrating the TD. All I could think was Mahomes + 3 TOs = sure field goal. I just had zero confidence in the defense in crunch time last night. I know they were tired.

I'll be 62 on Wednesday. I am not sure I can take much more.

- 16-0 lead on Texans choke job
- Hail Murray (granted small potatoes)
- Kansas City 2021 collapse
- "13 second" game
I'm having a really tough day today as many of you are.
McD's defenses just seem to get a deer in the headlights look when the pressure is really on. I got nuthin either really. Just completely stunned.

That Jacksonville loss is still mind blowing to me. Doesn’t seem real.
Yeah I was there and still can't believe it. I still think it being time change weekend has something to do with it. Whole team was flat.

We don't match up well with Pats*. We knew they were running 2 weeks ago and still could not stop them? What makes people think we will magically start stopping big powerful running backs? I am hoping for a Christmas miracle and hope I am wrong, but this one is really tough for the Bills.

Why aren’t you using guys like Kumerow down in the Red Zone? He’s one of your few BIG offensive players.
Good one! I would ask why you had Brieda in on the fake punt when he was not on any of the previous punt attempts? Think that might have tipped off the other team?

Don’t want to worry about “PI/non PI” calls? Don’t fall behind by 21 points where you then have to depend on each and every play in order to get back in the game.
Once again, when the Bills lose, there is always much misdirected anger.
Wasn't the Fournette 47 yard run right after the bogus holding call on Johnson? Actually the idiots called it on Poyer even though he was in the next area code. I think that was another game changing call against the Bills. And they can't even call it against the right person. Something needs to be done about the reffing in general or they just might lose me as an NFL fan. It's utterly ridiculous.

I just keep remembering our crappy 2017 team. Remember how we never thought until 00:00 on the clock on Baltimore that we had a rat's a$$ chance of making and playoffs and we did. It's a crazy season and ANYTHING can happen. We have a good team, maybe not a great team but Josh will keep us in games. Guys on the team won't give up and neither am I. Sure I will be disappointed if they don't make it to the dance. Like Joe Marino always says "They will either do it or they won't"
-
I think Josh will throw 40-50 times Sunday. Ain't no way we are running the ball on that team.
