  1. I have posted this here before and some scoffed which is fine, but my college roommate at Catawba was the tight ends coach, Charlie Coiner. If/when he ever leaves the Bills, I might have a lot to say on this board but for obvious reasons will not at this time.

He was and I guess still is pretty tight with Alex from the year when Alex was offensive quaility control. Actually I have not talked to him since Turk left. I try not to call during the season, he's too busy to call back anyway. But I guarantee after the season, I am going to make him give me a play by play of what has happened this year. I have not made it up to BUF for a game this year, but did take in the Carolna game which was a blast. I promise if Charlie ever leaves the Bills, I will give you some good stories.

  2. I only had to travel 75 miles but it was awesome. LOTS of Bills fans, who kept hi-fiving my wife who was on the aisle.

Wish we had more offense, but a win is a win

It was very nice weather, I went to the tavern on the tracks but its wasn't really a buffalo scene in my eyes.

I went back to the Town tavern where it was swamped with bills fans, even the budlight guy "the grill and the cooler, a grooler" he gave us free beers. I also saw Chris Brown there, no I didnt speak to him because I think he doesn't know anything.

I tailgated in lot 309, saw aussie but everyone was swarming around her. I did a bowling ball shot. Met a bills fan from another board, took several pics, and seen some crazy people.

The game was nice, actually my first and I've been a fan for 20yrs, I just never had the money nor transportation before.

I thought the experience was like getting a tattoo........haha makes you want more. I loved it. I got into an arguement with a panther's fan beside me when he started haggling me.........I just said, " look at the scoreboard, oh wait, panther fans can't count, you think your winning" lol

so many bills fans there.......it was crazy, we took the place over.........the chants never stopped, from before the game, during the game and after.

    It was great...

  3. Good point. I think in general, folks down here are just not as passionate about pro football as other parts of the country. North Carolina in particular is crazy about college sports, especially basketball. Oh yeah, and Nascar is way bigger than the NFL, but I have no clue why. My buddy tried to explain it and I still don't get it.

You could do all that stuff in Buffalo. In fact lake erie is probably one of the best bodies of water for water activities in the whole country. It might be a little cold, but so is the Pacific Ocean & plus you can not get attacked by a great white shark in Lake Erie.
  4. They are used to it now. No crying...except to get rid of Delhomme. For those of you that wanted Fox, yesterday he kicked when he should have gone for it, and went for it when he should have kicked it. And it's amazing to me that Williams only got 4 carries in the second half. Fox can read stats as well as we can - therefore should have been smart enough to just run the ball, especially with Jake's history.

Are the locals crying today. The Bills fans showing face in the stadium as well must have piss them off as well. Damn Yankees!
  5. I don't know about you, but Whitner can take off the rest of the season or his life. I'll take Wilson and Byrd anytime.

Amazing how many Bills fans were in attendance. I've said it before, the Panthers fans have no emotion next to rabid fan bases like the Bills and the Steelers.

It seemed like Poz and McGee where in on every play.

Fitzpatrick did not impress me that much but has better pocket presence than Trent. Also liked the shots downfield even though many were not on the mark.

Fred needs to run the ball more. Lynch just loves to dance. He was even dancing during timeouts. We will never get anywhere if we can't get our running game going.

Jenkins is a stud on special teams.

I thought the OLine over all did a pretty good job.

Not too many penalties today which was nice to see.

    GO BILLS!

  6. Still working on getting tickets, but planning on being there. They usually have a good game-day thing if you have kids. It's like the Bills one but it's outside on the practice fields just north of the stadium. Sounds like the weather will be nice.

    GO bills!

Hey just wondering if any is going to the next game in Car? I am from Atlanta and will be making the drive. Didn't know if there would be a Bills fans tailgate!

    Go Bills!

  7. would love it if your call on Whitner is correct. I am so sick of seeing him try to tackle people by throwing his shoulder into running backs. He's just a big bag of wind.

Scott has locked up SS. If the Byrd is as advertised at FS, Donte may be wishing he had ANY teammates in a year or so.

Surprise cut for 2010 pre-season... Donte Whitner. You heard it here first. Especially if we bring in a real coach.

  8. True dat. Face it - we will be 1-2 after the first 3 games. Brady and Brees will carve our bendable D apart. The best we can hope for is that the weather may be a detriment to make it a little more even. When they can't even contain lard-a$$ Crumpler, how are they going to contain a really good receiving corps?

This years defense might be better in the secondary, but who will throw on Buffalo when they can easily win by running the ball.

Then again Brady will still have a field day in the Pats home opener, between Moss, Welker and now Joey Galloway, the Bills will be lucky to keep the score under 50.

  9. Does he sound like a great guy to have in the trenches or what? I hope he sticks it to Wilfolk.

Wood is 1st guy out to practice

By Chris Brown - Posted August 1st, 2009

Eric Wood is the first guy out to practice this morning.

He’s been out here for 10 minutes working on his stance and first two steps out of his stance.

    The guy is committed.
