  1. I'm still debating! :D

Actually I am thinking of going as it's only a 4 hour drive for me. Due to my recent workfest (lots of hours and I opted for time off instead of overtime(salary but I get comp time)) I can do so. I will have to look at the schedule and decide if New Orleans (pre-season) is when I want to take time off. The other alternative is flying to Buffalo for a home game but I hate to fly as its such a drag nowadays.

  2. wade was sooooo horrible in buffalo that he was the last coach to coach them in the playoffs.he was also the last coach to lead the bills to double digits in wins.i can also respect a head coach who lets himself get fired to protect his special teams coach.wade might have screwed up the whole flutie rob johnson thing, but he did a good job in buffalo.good luck to wade in dallas and go bills in"07

    Dallas?? Dallas??? :D

  3. 1- Kermit the frog

    2-Fozzie bear

    3-Stadler

    3a-Waldorf

    5-Miss Piggy

    6-Animal

    7-scooter

Bills trade theri fourth rounder and Dr Teeth to SD for Turner.........

This draft carries just as much weight as everyone's mock drafts :D

You are absolutey insane. You have 2 1st rounders (Miss Piggy and Animal) in the 5th and 6th round respectively. I sincerely doubt we will even get a chance at either of them. Kermit MIGHT fall to 12. Do some research before you post man.

    :D

  4. Not sure how many people will remember Russell Copeland. When he played for the Xplorers he used to come into my bar. I would stop talking to the regulars and just chit chat with him while he had a pitcher or two. I would usually get some cool stories out of him too. He was a pretty cool guy. I felt bad he never made it back into the NFL.

  5. Not based on yards per attempt.

Good point and that is actually one of the biggest stats. Not a slam on JP mind you, more indicative of our whole offense.

Quick aside...One moment that branded Dan Dierdorf as a complete idiot was when he talked about San Frans offense with Steve Young and how he was so shocked that they had such a high yards per attempt what with their short passing game and all. Talk about a man who doesnt understand math.

Woot 100th post and it took less than a year. /me flexes

  6. Call me an R-tard if you want but I don't think it's that crazy to draft a punter in the 1st or 2nd rounds,

The Buffalo Bills punting unit is one to be reckoned with and could be for years to come with the addition of some depth at punter.

I'm thinking grab one with the 2nd round pick and then trade up in the 4th for some depth.

I'm also thinking that we need a TE and a SS with our first day picks.

Didn't the Raiders take whats his face, Janikowsky??, with a first rounder? We should follow up with a few guys who have had troubles with the law for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks. After we trade JP, Evans and Schobel to Cincinatti we should be able to get half their team. We should then be able to trade Peters, McGee and Youbooty for Pacman Jones. (Btw I knew you were being sarcastic :w00t: )

  7. Wade Phillips era- i liked coach Phillips. if i remember correctly he was the last coach to have us in the playoffs and under him our defense was second best in the league two years in a row (unless im mistaken). these were the Rob Johnson/Doug Flutie times. haha what an era that was! the DC and he did a great job too.. This regime was the last remnants of the Marv Levy bills dynasty era. Grade A-

Gregg Williams- team didn't really do much but we had tommy donawhore running the show and he was too caught up in free agency. Gregg had Jerry Gray as a DC... I remember he got signed soon after Donawhore and they chose him because they thought he was very well organized and brought good structure.. guess they should have gone for a guy that knew how to coach. Grade C+

Mike Mularkey- hmm lets see,., was a sub par OC for the bills then got the promotion to head coach, GREAT IDEA!! wasn't a players coach at all but he did have a good defense one season thanks to Coach Gray and his staff and was fortunate to have Bobby April run his special teams. Take those two out of the equation and you basically get a pile of sh--. I feel he really set back JP Losman with that whole switching out of the QB job over the course of the season. PICK A QB AND STICK WITH IT FOR CHRIST SAKE! I dont think the players really liked him much, they sounded relieved to get coach Jauron. Grade C-

Dick Jauron- Bills better then expected last year. Really helped with the development of JP. I feel like he is really benefiting from Marv Levy running the show now but considering how many young guys marv left him with last year i would say that he did an excellent job helping those players develop into solid starters quick!!! Marv obviously wanted a coach that knew how to coach and develop and maxamize young talent. So far so good. Grade B+

Im not the most knowledgeable fan but what do you guys think?

Wade Phillips: C. I have been to only a few Bills games as I live in Tn. I was at the Music City Miracle. RJ was sacked 7 times for 49 yards I believe. I had to endure the heckling for weeks and I honestly believe we would have won that game if DF (all his faults included) had played. But basically, an incredible mismanagement of a talented team. Oh and I am not bitter :w00t:

Greg Williams:C-. Man could he have been more bland? Interviewed well?? Wow.

Mike Mularkey: D-. Hey he could have been Jerry Jones. Wait...You say hes the owner? My bad.

Dick jauron:Incomplete. Lets see what happens this year. Cautiously optimistic at this point.

  8. Actually, a more direct analogy is removing JP's best (TD?) or worst (INT?) pass from each game then comparing his year end passer rating to other quarterbacks. I'd bet he'd be one of the best (or worst) quarterbacks in the league.

I was actually thinking that if we removed one interception per game his QB rating would be through the roof. Still kinda sucky yardage mind you.

  9. the 1 longest carry in each of the 12 games he played.

The point is that his over inflated YPC stat is heavily influenced by the few number of carries.

sorry to rain on your parade

/waves hand in a mystical fashion as he intones in a serious and hypnotic voice, "You want to rethink your argument."

  10. On third thought it is obviously the whole darn bird!!!

    LOL

Media Bias against the Bills, What's behind it?

    I am.

    It's been me all along.

I'm sorry it took me so long to get to this thread, and sorry it's taken me so long to come clean. I could have spared you all all the aggravation.

    Why do I do it?

That's a hell of a question. I guess it just makes me giggle, a little.

Burn the witch. Burn him. /stacks up firewood.

Honestly, I think it's a variety of factors. Does it help that we are a small market team? No, it simply makes us easier to pick on. Lets not forget that these guys are motivated by ratings and they need to be contraversial to spark interest and debate. At the same time if we had a 10-6 season next year they would shut up. If we went 12-4 (umm maybe we shouldn't burn the witch so fast as it will take black magic to do so) we would be darlings of the media.

Last but not least, lets not forget the team lost 4 Super Bowls in a row. It makes them much easier to pick on as most casual to semi-studious fans of the game only remember that.

  11. Wow.

When Ricky the dope smoker is what you're looking for in your locker room... well... never mind.

Yeah lets get a more traditional drunk instead. Honestly, if Ricky was available for the right price I would consider it. With the exception of quitting on his team he hasn't done anything wrong IMO. Mind you this would all be contingent on him being able to pass a physical and being more well adjusted overall.

  12. While I’m not too keen on moving around too much in this draft, one move that I see as possible would be Green Bay trading with us at 12 to pick up Lynch, especially if they feel he won’t fall past us. They really need someone in their backfield and would be willing to reach for Lynch if they think he is that guy. If Green Bay is willing to swap 1st and give up their 3rd, 78th overall, AND Willis is off the board, I’d take it and take either Poz or the best player available at a critical need position.

I agree with that. It's one of the few trade down scenarios I have seen that make sense. With that said I am still hoping for Willis and Turner.

  13. Do you honestly think with all the talk about "character" coming from the front office they would ever be able to deal with a person such as Ricky?

Yeah what an A$$. I mean the guy smokes marijuana. Give me a guy who gets completely drunk before the Superbowl instead.

Hmm come to think of it maybe thats why Marv is so character conscious these days.

  14. Tripplett weighed 295 last season, but he's now down to 293.

    Gee that should help bunches.

Like Schobel, strongside ends Chris Kelsay (5½ sacks last year) and Ryan Denney (six sacks) have also dropped a substantial amount of weight. Kelsay has gone from 275 to 261; meanwhile, Denney's size has fluctuated from 275 to 264. That departed 25 pounds should mean more pass-rushing prowess for the Bills' DE rotation on the left side, which is good for the entire defense, obviously.

Umm didnt I read that the prototype ends were around 270 or so? Maybe not but these two dont scare me as much as Schobel. Someone tell him skinnier isnt prettier.
