Drunk Lions fans chanting Jerrod Goff is getting a little bit old.

This draft has been fine in my opinion. Its not flashy but there are a lot of tough nosed kids that the Bills have took in this draft. Seems like their remaking the team to be more physical than finesse.
It's a good draft in a vacuum, but not after trading Diggs. They created a hole and did nothing to fill it, so the team is worse than last year.

We have traded back. Beane thinks this is a weak day 3. He is telling us that by his actions. He is right. But if he thought that was he not trying to get up into the 4th another time or two? Empty those other picks out..... what use are they if you think the rounds 5 through 7 talent sucks?
Most of those trade-ups in the 4th involved 2025 3rds.

Is it just me, or are there fewer small school guys being picked in the draft this year? Teams like Georgia and Washington have pretty much every starter drafted now.
With the portal, guys transfer from small schools to bigger programs before their draft year.

Yes. They love Cole's smarts.
Cole Bishop is by far my favorite Bills pick in this draft. He lit up the Senior Bowl.

Says some know-nothing poster every year....
People were crying after the 22 draft, but Cook, Bernard, Shakir, and Benford have turned out great.
I wasn't. I am usually a very positive fan. But this feels like a major step back in offensive and defensive talent compared to last year. I REALLY hope I'm wrong.

Beane has botched this pretty badly.

Let me state this again. THIS IS WHY I DIDN't WANT TO TRADE DIGGS AND "JUST GET HIS REPLACEMENT IN THE DRAFT." The draft board never fall how you need it to in order to have needs match value.

I can get behind the marketing
I can't listen to that because it makes me want to dust off the skateboard and go skate. My 50-year-old self might actually die.

Unlike Coleman, Tez lifts and separates.
The problem is that he tends to, sometimes, not catch the dang ball.

I wasn't talking about their draft. I was talking about the draft room. It's like a tight end meeting room with a chargers flag thrown over the table. Talk about low tech. Surprised they are not writing names on a chalk board.
They're currently building a new facility so that is probably a rented conference room.

I just got back from the draft. Im not sure we could handle that amount of people. Detroit did a great job.
Green Bay is going it next year. If they can do it, then Buffalo can too.

If that were true than why was he the fastest through the gauntlet. Js
I was talking about Franklin dropping, not Coleman.

Correct. And there's got to be something there beyond just a mediocre combine that is concerning teams. He's got great advanced stats and proves his skills on the field over multiple seasons.
The combine results were indicative of a lack of preparation which demonstrates a poor work ethic.

Who says Chicago takes the trade though? They want to surround Williams with weapons.
Exactly. If they don’t win this year, the entire regime running this draft in Chicago won’t be making the picks next year. They almost got fired this year.

You don't understand how you can't love football playing through college?
As someone who played division 1 football... I can tell you easily
It is the only way out for so many people.. so many people only have football or basketball as an outlet... Keeping them off the streets... It's the way out for a lot of people...
It's not a passion it's a job or a burden since the time they were 13... They don't play football because they love it
They play football because they're 6'3 215 lb receivers .. can run a 4.5 with a 40 inch vertical
It's not about the passion.. it's about what football can do for them
Which is perfectly reasonable... Your talents should help you out in life... But when you thought of football as a job since you were 12
You lose the passion for football... Division 1 football is basically professional football... It's AAA to the MLB
And it's a grind like AAA baseball... It will also take the Love of the game out of a lot of people
It's not easy to wake up at 6:00 every morning.. to go to positional meetings.. then go to class at 8am... Then go to the weight room at 12:00... Then have a team meeting at 2... And practice at 3:30
Every single day... Some do it for what the game of football can do for them.. and some do It for the Love of football
20 minutes with a kid with some smart questions and you can figure out what kind of guy they are
If there was a TBD hall of fame, this post would be a first-ballot inductee.

Really? Name 1 player on offense besides Josh Allen who scares defenses or defensive staffs?I agree, but I do know that Shakir's advanced stats tell me he should get a lot more production with more targets. I'm sure the Bills see those same stats.

The obsession with Dline on this team is infuriating. It’s the 1 thing we are stacked and set at depthwise every year. And we are never even that effective in getting after the QB. Please stop taking Dlineman so often. Wtf us the plan at WR? This isn’t good enough
They are just following draft value. It's why I REALLY didn't want to trade Diggs and "replace him in the draft." It didn't fall that way, which was entirely expected.

I feel the need to pop in here again to point out that Coleman catches every ball thrown in his direction.

OBJ is still sitting out there, and he is now more than a full year removed from the injury. Just sayin'

Fine. If you can get a starter at the end of the third you've done well.

Not sure what’s more ridiculous, the overzealous fans in costumes going crazy over players they’ve never heard of, or the team war rooms high fiving after every pick like they pulled a fast one over the other teams.
I wonder if they do that after 7th rounders?

Live 2024 NFL Draft thread - Rounds 4-7 (Do NOT tip the Bills pick)
in The Stadium Wall
Posted
Because some of the posters on this board scouted WRs this winter like it was a part-time job, they formed very strong opinions. Then the Bills went and picked the guy that TBD groupthink eliminated from their board while passing on the consensus TBD pick in AD MItchell. I mean, TBD tried to draft Mitchell three times in our group mocks. I think that the reason that the Bills thought differently was because they actually interviewed the guys. Also, fans wanted two WRs high because WRs are the most fun position to watch. That being said, we lost Diggs and didn't replace him. We don't have an elite route runner on the roster.
