Last time I checked there were 7 rounds to the draft, and Buffalo still has 7 picks after the #8. Plenty of time to get decent help for the lines, rather then take a reach at #8 to get a Lineman. When you draft in the top 10, you don't reach for a player, you take the best player available or get out of the spot.

 

I guess everyone is getting a hardon for Ngata no that they have gone limp from the ones they had for Hutch and Bentley, and most recently Niel

I'm sure the bonus wasn't $5M...I think it was $1.1M.

The 'Dead Cap' at the moment is $5.33M (with Amortized bonuses of $3.66M)

If we were to cut him(or trade) at the moment, we would save $5.52M

I assume if we wait till after June 1, we are only up for the Amortized bonus....wasn't there some rule change in the new CBA helping veterans in situations like this??? I think we can cut(trade) now & it acts like it is done after June 1???

There would be plenty of teams that I would think would give up their one first round pick for Clements before Denver give up either of theirs....not that this has much to do with the major points in your original post but I think it's imperative to the future of The Bills & the entire NFL in general that we discuss the potential of a Denver/Clements deal.

Cutler

Young

We could use any of these though better to trade if we end up with Young or Cutler.

Yes, we have Schoebel and Kelsey and now Denney.  I believe we need to add another DE.  Three o the roster is thin and Jauron like to plays waves of linemen.

Marv is headed in the right direction, fill the holes with adequate players & draft THE BEST AVAILABLE PLAYER...of course the best available is open to conjecture

If one of the QBs fall to us...either trade down with some QB hungry club(Min) or grab him ourselves. It's hard to build a champion without one & there is the smallest of possibilities that JP does not become the HOF we require.

As for Rounds 2 & on....I like your thoughts but find it hard myself guessing what will happen past pick 17 let alone 7 rounds.
