  1. Tyrod was by all accounts a great teammate and hard worker. I don’t think the team lost too many games because of him, but they didn’t win many on account of him either. I remember feeling like if The Bills fell behind, it was over. He just wasn’t explosive as a passer. Too timid. I was glad he helped end the drought of course, but was also glad the team moved on the following year.

These balloning contracts must have vets thinking they are missing out.  He must think he could probably get $20-25m for a year from a needy team who can't afford a top QB in their cap.

Well Dan and Jim knew when to walk away. And they never bothered coming back after they retired

I agree about the ballooning contract comment and decided to look up Jim Kelly’s and Dan Marino’s career earnings. Kelly made $27M in his career. Marino made $51M. Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, and Kirk Cousins are all averaging more $ per season now than Kelly made in his entire career. That has to be a factor for these older guys. Thought that was interesting.

This team puts so much emphasis on STs for the active roster on game day…then the STs always sucks anyway and lost us the game yesterday. We have to stop giving these valuable spots to guys that can ONLY play STs. It’s too much. It’s important but not important enough to undress impact players.

So what your saying is you’d rather see Kumerow or Taiwan “undressed”?

  4. Just an FYI, existing customers get i think $10 credit for referrals. So if you are going to buy from them check and see if you know anyone who could cash in on that deal.
Also, I got one of their shadow boxes a while back and it’s really cool if you’re into Bills memorabilia.

  5.    This is an intriguing question as there are so many players that I loved on the team. Thurman and Bruce were by far my favorites as a young teen in the 90s. Mostly because I considered them to be the absolute best at their positions, but those teams were loaded with stars you could make an argument for any number of players on the team back then.  During the drought, Fred and Kyle were of course two guys every Bills fan could be proud of even if they weren't recognized like members of the nineties teams.

The answer for me though is Jim Kelly. He wasn't necessarily my "favorite" at the time, but man when his cancer diagnosis was first reported I couldn't believe what a profound sadness I felt. I was a guys in my 30s crying at my computer reading all the news about Jim and his family. It was then that I realized the impact this person whom I never met had had on me. All the times I shared with loved ones bonding over this team. All the heartache. All the joy. The passion.

Two years later my mother had her own battle with cancer, a battle she ultimately lost. That ***** came fast and hard and she was gone. Her favorite hands down was always #12.  Jim's fight became all the more important to me then. Just as on the field, he fought and overcame a lot and that somehow made my loss a little easier to bear. Sorry if this is too serious for the thread.
