1. Not the point Max, even thought the Cryers do suck.

The point is that Jackson, Dornhoffer and the walking brain-stem were too STUPID to differentiate between a TV feed and the scoreboard feed. People IN ATTENDANCE said that the hit was shown once. I'll take their word.

guess Morganti who played Hockey and worked for ESPN as a Hockey analyst doesnt know the difference either, he was irate during intermission about the replays being shown

  2. Do you believe everything the three retards say? I mean, Jackson, Dornhoffer and ESPECIALLY Coates? Come on. Even the most homerish Cryer fan KNOWS those guys have the ultimate rose-coloreds on.

    670712

Flyers announcers are the worst Ive ever heard, Im not defending them either but you could hear the cheers on TV

I will however believe what Morganti was saying during intermission and he was saying the same thing

  3. no one said it wasnt a legal hit and Im not whining

the announcers and the guys during intermission both stated the replay was shown over and over and you could hear the fans cheering on TV as Umberger was laying on the ice

its hockey which is a secondary sport. I could care less if the Flyers suck or not, the discussion wasnt about that

  4. The replay was shown once in Buffalo - AFTER Umberger was taken off the ice.  Continuing to perpetuate a lie makes you the classless idiot.

I can only imagine the way the douche bags in Philly would act if they could skate fast enough to actually hit a Sabre with a clean check.

    670666

the announcers clearly stated the replay was shown several times

real hard to be tough on a message board isnt it cool guy

  5. We had this discussion last year.

Since the Sabres are about to go up 3-0 in their playoff series, I thought I'd bring back this little chestnut that ESPN.com sent a writer to.

I think this article just about sums up everything that can be said about that lower-than-homo sapiens species known as the Philly Sports Fan.

    In one word, ick.

you live in Ohio dude....enough said

yeah, a buffalo wing eating contest, Philly fans are terrible

Sabres fans cheered while R.J. Umberger was practically unconscious on the ice while the hit was replayed over and over again on the big screen in Game 1. A tasteless act by the replay people and the fans....if that happened in Philly you would still be hearing about it

Flyers are not going to win the series but I cant see them losing tonights game

  6. They would still have a high to mid first rounder with two seconds and two thirds ...that would be nice. Five picks on the first day could really help this team

Ive read on more then one occassion that the Eagles (14) and Ravens (13) both are interested in Ngata. The Eagles have a ton of picks so I definately see them trading up at some point.

Bills could drop down and still possibly get Justice or Bunkley

  7. Now, this is just speculation on my part, but Denver could be a willing trade partner for us.  We would get to draft 15th in the first and I will assume in the same spot in the 2nd, should we swing a trade with them?  As per fanball.com - more of a fantasy site than news organization, but still worth a quick read.

If quarterback Jay Cutler somehow falls to Denver at No. 15 overall, the Broncos would give serious thought to drafting him, the Denver Post reports. The team's depth chart at quarterback currently features 31-year-old Jake Plummer and inexperienced backup Bradlee Van Pelt.

    Our View

Cutler is just the kind of quarterback Mike Shanahan's offense is suited for, but this is wishful thinking. It's difficult to imagine Cutler falling past the Cardinals, Rams, and Ravens—all of whom could very much use his services.

    670014

the 15th pick is not Denvers original pick, it belonged to Atlanta. Denvers draft slot was the 24th I believe which has been traded to San Fran

  8. I've heard time and again that players -- current, past, even those on other teams -- just think the world of this guy. How many different players have talked about how they would love to play for this guy? I've been quite impressed at the amount of loyalty he seems to inspire in players.

Can anyone recall hearing the same about Mularkey? Before or after he was in Buffalo?

    668587

how many players said the same about GW...just because players like playing for a coach doesnt mean he's a good coach

  9. Bush                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Did I read that correctly on Yahoo? Wow would that frig up the draft.

    668531

that wouldnt have anything to do with him being eligible for the draft

  10. I'm willing to bet Bunkley is our man come Friday....

"In fact, the guy we sort of like right now, my strong guess would be he'll be there four spaces below," Levy said.

If thats the case, trade the fug down Marv.  If Cutler is available, Arizona or St. Louis might be possible trade partners (There has been a lot of talk around here about Cutler being a future replacement/current insurance policy on Bulger who has been injured the last few years).  11 draft picks would be nice.

    667542

read on another board so take it for whats it worth, poster stated Clevelands GM wants to move up to get the player they want. Just so happens Cleveland picks 12 which is 4 spots below the Bills pick

again, take it for whats its worth but Cleveland could be a nice trade partnet possibly giving up their 2nd to move up 4 spots...I would do that in a heart beat

  11. he does tackle high a lot but he was also chasing people down most of the time. He wraps up and brings people down and doesnt just try and knock them down. When he came up from the defensive backfield and hit the guy right on he did tackle low.

I dont think its anything that couldnt be corrected at the pro level if its a problem at all. The guy is always around the ball and has amazing closing speed, I just think 8 is way too high to take a safety

If Davis isnt there and it looks like he wont be the pick should be Ngata or Bunkley if they dont trade down

  12. I think Saints want Mario more than D'Brick. They just drafted Jammal Brown as #13 overall last year. Sean Payton said Brown would be moved to left tackle. You don't normally draft two top tackles at high first round in two consecutive years, you'll end up with a right tackle earning left-tackle money. Even Saints aren't comfortable on Jon Stinchcomb in right tackle, they may address this issue in later rounds instead of #2 overall.

On the other hand, although G.Grant and W.Smith are also former first rounders, they didn't play to their potentials. Besides, they were drafted several years before Brown and Saints may have done waiting for one of them, possibly Smith.

I can see Saints draft Mario and, if they trade down, it won't be to a team taking Mario.

    663219

I agree with this, I think the Saints want Mario Williams more then D'Brick. They lost Howard and need a DE and good point about drafting Jammal Brown last year and moving him to LT

  13. Just been wondering if the Bills will keep the pick and pay a big salary or move out and trade down and take on a lesser deal>

    662296

thats what I think will happen, I also think thats why they didnt move back into the first round last year.

its a shame the Bills only made 10 mil last year, I feel sorry for them...give me a break. Ralph is crying the blues to distract the fans from the fact that his team BLOWS. I am so disgusted with this team, what is their plan by signing all backups

  14. another smart ass remark from a newbie  , where the !@#$ do you all come from ?????? :P

    658454

is it a smart a$$ remark if its the truth...big surprise that we find out that it was in fact a 4 year 10 mil deal...for a receiver that was cut twice last year and didnt have a job at the end of the season and wasnt getting a lot of interest this offseason

thats now a 4 year deal for a backup TE, a receiver that got cut twice last year and a backup Receiver in Reed that cant catch a thing ( if the reports are true about his deal which Im sure they are )

i came to this site from another that i was a member of for a long time but grew tired of it

thanks for your intelligent addition to the conversation

  15. If it's somewhere around 10 mil with a 2 million bonus and 750 this season, 1 mil, 1.5 mil, 2 mil, 2.75 mil that's a good deal for us. Not very expensive. If he doesn't pan out we don't get killed. If he does play well he's cheap as hell. We have a lot of money left and no one to spend it on. I am no longer completely scared we have no receivers as we have a lot of speed, some very decent depth and experience and can throw some fear into teams with Evans, Peerless, Parrish and Davis speed wise, especially if we draft Vernon Davis or if Everett pans out. Peerless may not have been a #1 but he doesn't suck.

    658279

remember this is a guy that got cut by 2 different teams last year and didnt have a job at the end of the season

at most he should have got a 2 year deal with incentives

  16. So what are they, 4.31 while Parrish is 4.37?  When they get out on the field, it'll be difficult to tell the difference speed-wise.

speed doesnt do you any good if you cant get off the line...you cant just look at how tall or short a receiver is, you also have to look at their physical size and Parrish isnt close to the same size as Smith and Moss

Parrish is frail and will battle injuries most of his career and will probably end up as a punt returner and playing as a 4th or 5th receiver

the only other NFL player Parrish has size over is Martin Gramatica

  17. it figures... he is drafted by us  and admits he is grateful the Bills drafted him where they did and took a chance on his bum knee. He rehabs with us, we trade away a tough back who played hurt on more than one occassion, Wills gets his wish and becomes "the man" and already it has gone to his head. I still feel he got too bulked up and doesnt have the break away speed that he had or that most top backs have. He added muscle and it slowed him down. Its no secret the success of the team will depend on him and hopefully he will have a good year. If he does the Bills need to extend his contract and lock him up for 4 or 5 years.

    657322

i agree that Willis bulked up too much last year and it showed. I think he would be a lot better playing at 215 - 220

  18. Yeah, why don't we add Santana Moss and Steve Smith to your undersize team.  Those two guys REALLY suck!  :D

    657326

Steve Smith weighs 185 lbs and Santana Moss weighs 190

Parrish is generously listed at 168

20 - 25 pounds makes a world of difference...not to mention both Smith and Moss are faster then Parrish

  19. 20 lbs heavier, thats not good because he isnt a bruising type of TE, thought he was more of a Receiving athletic TE

I dont dislike the guy but I think he was just another mistake by TD. He was taken too early and selected ahead of other players that could have helped the Bills on the offensive or defensive lines

This pick wasnt nearly as bad as Parrish though. Taking a 5'8" 165 lb WR in the second round and with your first pick ( Bills didnt have a first ) who will never be anything more then a slot Receiver is just DUMB

I am still amazed at how bad TD was with the Bills

  20. I read he gave back a bunch of money so he could leave Washington and become a FA. I havn't heard of too many players who have done that ? Have you ?

Sounds like he really wanted out ! Are you saying his motivation was purely for a bigger pay day ?

    657235

he wanted out of Washington and he wanted a better deal because he wasnt happy with the one he signed from the day he signed it

do you really think he is going to walk away from 4 mil guaranteed and not want that plus a ton more. I believe he is asking for a 7 year 54 mil deal with 14 mil up front...did he want out of Wash or did he want a big payday, looks like both to me
