  1. The only issue with this is a principle one. Do you think the best use of taxpayer money is to help fund an NFL team? While I love the Bills and don't want them going anywhere, I struggle with this issue. I have a fundamental issue with raising taxes or using taxpayer money to help fund a successful, private venture that really doesn't contribute to the well-being of the area. There is just too much waste and too many needs to do that, IMHO. That's what's intriguing about this idea floated by the Alliance

Many good points, but let me ask you... how much money and national recognition does the Bills bring to WNY? Take out the fact the Wilson family makes bank... they're going to make bank anywhere this team is, I'd rather they make it here in Buffalo where the team belongs. The Fan Alliance can still be don in conjunction with this idea. a $.01 increase won't kill anyone esp since it will be spread out amongst all of the annual purchases. I mean, let's say you spend $1K at Christmas... are you really gonna complain about $10 on top of that?

  2. How about this... a $.01 sales tax increase for Erie County is it feasible? Erie County has a population of approx 900K... I have no idea what is "spent there" everyday, but lets assume there was $10 spent every day by each resident. That equates to $9M to tax and the additional $.01 would equate to $90K a day and $32.85M annually. Since the Bills are a "Regional" team, you could expand that to the other WNY counties (pop 2.5M), that could total appox $91M annually!

  3. If you recall what I have said many times, NO QB that has lead the NFL in passing yards (and possibly scoring) has ever won a SB.

Offense fills the seats in the regular season, but Defense wins Championships.

Kurt Warner was the closest top ranked passing leader to win one.

He ranked #2 in passing yards in 1999 in his victory against the Home Run Throw Forward Tennessee Titans.

And he should've been playing against a top 5 defense in the Bills in that SB!!!!!!!

  4. Pettine wants O'Neil for his DC . Unless Buffalo offers to promotes him to DC , I doubt we would force him to stay here. He would not be a happy camper.

Just hours after taking the head coaching job with the Browns Mike Pettine has already asked the Bill for permission to interview LBs coach Jim O’Neil.

That according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter who tweeted the following.

AdamSchefter: Browns submitted request to Buffalo to interview Bills LB coach Jim O’Neil for Cleveland’s DC. O’Neil and Pettine worked together with Jets.

I hate this ****... tell me one other business model that allows quality personnel to jump ship to a competing "business" mid contract, then also allow that same personnel to take even more talent from within your own organization...?? I know its a great thing for these guys to get promoted, but this affects so many things on both sides. Craziness!

  5. Dareus hurt the team why is that so hard to understand

They sat him for a quarter last week and he cared so much he showed up late the very next day

No other option then to sit him again

Evidently sitting him doesn't motivate him to make it to meetings any more "timely", so why not motivate him by taking some of his $$??

  6. I agree with you for the most part, but man would I love to see Mike Evans in a Bills uniform.

As long as we get him in the 2nd round or later. I just don't see 1st round talent with this guy. He's tall, but his routes aren't crisp, he doesn't appear fast, and his hands are avg. He doesn't seem to "fight" for the ball either. Does someone have a good highlight video that I haven't seen to show me otherwise.

  7. Thad was ok today, EJ is the best QB on the team. Let's see Thad win a game when they aren't running for 200+ yards.

You know what's funny with this comment? If EJ threw (or was allowed to throw) the ball downfield with any kind of a threat, there would be more room for the RB's to run, but instead he likes to look and throw within 10 yds of the line of scrimmage. Hard to run with all those guys in the box.
