Agree, the government does not care about its people, just the votes they provide. If you can get the country to believe that there is a war to fight and you convince them you have a way to win it, you get more votes.

I agree with you to a certain extent. Things like marijuana should be made legal because they really have little or no effect on the outcome of people's lives the way something like cocaine or heroin do. Instead, I am a firm believer that we should legalize marijuana, i do not smoke it, but i feel that the money that we use to incarcerate petit marijuana peddlers could be put to much better use elsewhere. It costs an average of somewhere in the vacinity of $20,000 a year to house an inmate in prison, and i think that it is bogus that we as tax payers are paying for this guy to be imprisoned for just selling weed to his friends after school. You take that money and you use it to aid other sects of our society, like i don't know social security or use it to fund the war in Iraq. Who gives a sh--, atleast your seeing result that way instead of just burning your money.

I was a plumber for a while, definately not easy work, but i do see what you are saying.

Well there are two possibilities. One is history because it really opens up the spectrum as to what i could do. The other was criminal justice because i see myself in ten years working for the Drug Enforcement Administration. I was planning on history just for the simple fact that it gives me a number of different directions to move, if i wanted to i could teach it or get into law school. The one thing that i was thinking about was graduating from UB and joining the army, thus helping with a couple of areas of life, including helping me get accepted into the DEA. Just a few thoughts, nothing concrete.

Extremely understandable and i appreciate the insight. Really a college student needs all they can get these days with all the smoke that's blown up your ass with requirements and your other run of the mill bull sh--. I was actually thinking about taking a trip to UB this week to check out the campus and scene, since i will be out at St. Bonaventure for the majority of the week. UB has always been high on my list because i have plenty of family out there including an Uncle who does research at University of Buffalo. I am leaning more towards UB because everybody that i have discussed the topic with has nothing but high praise for the university as a whole. I thank you for your advice and commend you on your your work in your education thus far. Your words have been marked (and i am taking them to the bank).

UGA were being dick heads in the process of applying. Also they were saying that due to the fall in school stature they were being "extremely selective" as to what credits they were going to accept in transfer. Thus I would have lost A's in my Vietnam War class as well as my terrorism class.
