  1. funny, pats drafted brady based only on potential since he barely played at michigan and that seems to have worked out fine!!!

Big difference between picking at #8 and at #199 (sixth round), which is where Brady was selected. We have only to look at our illustrious RT and his "unlimited potential" to see the pitfalls that kind of mistake can have on the team.

  2. Levy has been working for the Bills since November and has been making personnel decisions.

Hard to believe with the enormous media access and apparent leaking sieve that OBD has become that this kind of "story" went unreported in any form during the season.

  3. "When he's healthy and motivated, there's absolutely no question he's the best in the country," Bellotti said. "He hasn't always been healthy, and it took him a couple games to get motivated, in all honesty. " -- Oregon head coach Mike Bellotti

"When he turns it on, he's something special," Aliotti said. "Unfortunately, big men like that sometimes get tired, get a little overweight and don't always turn it on. But when Haloti's on his game, he's a force. He can be one of the finest defensive tackles that ever played. -- Oregon DC Nick Aliotti

Anybody else find these quotes troubling?

    I also liked this line:

For the moment, we wish to stay out of the spotlight as that is not our goal. Our goal is to confirm the feasability of our idea...

30 seconds of Googling would have confirmed their idea doesn't fly based on NFL ownership rules. Good thing domain names are so cheap. <_<

  5. Lurk... did you just edit those links?  I had a browser crash (damn Mac) and returned.

The donnabase didn't work for me either time.  But, the first time i downloaded a "clip" of a song called "Way back when" from a site that's no longer on one of your links (it wasn't amazon or donnabase).  As i tried to download another the browser crashed.  Now the second link (not donnabase) is amazon.  i could swear that wasn't the link i initially tried.  Am i losing the tiny fraction of what's left of my mind?

    BTW, thanks for the links. .  .  .  .  I think

Sorry about that. It crashed on me too, so I edited the link. You're mind is working fine, thanks. <_<

  6. While your response has little to do with my post, I believe several coaches have declined HC jobs.  I don't have the detail...but, someone here will.

Marvin Lewis and the Bills comes to mind. I'd say he made the right choice from his vantage point.

  7. Of course, nobody is disputing that people quit jobs.  <_<

The more money and better jobs thing doesn't fly in this case.  He didn't jump ship for more money and a better organization.  He just quit for the unknown.

With the going rate on coordinators jobs with big market teams now topping $1 million, he's in line for a raise if he lands one of those jobs.

  8. This site has the markings of a Nigerian 419 scam!

    576887[/snapback]

It sure does. Check out this statement they make:

"The three Principles listed in "The Players" will own only a stock total equivalent to 15% of the total shares."

So, if it takes $700 million to buy the Bills, these 3 stooges will contribute roughly $100 million???? <_< There's one born every minute.

  9. Of course they can always change the rules...but I dont believe they will because its not in the best interest of the NFL to allow public ownership.

Yep. It would force them to open up their books and disclose a lot more information than I'm sure the "partners" would be willing to do.
