This is good work and is hard to believe we were that timid. I felt like we were aggressive much more than we were.

Given our defense -- and the intent they would force a 3-and-out deep in the opponents' zone -- McD was simply playing the odds.  A lot of defensive-minded HCs think that way.

Sean seemed to get more aggressive later in the year, which bodes well for this year...

I am saying your wrong but that seems impossible. That would be one per game which is a trend we should have noticed earlier.

  3. He's an average NFL punter.   The net yardage stat is a function of where he was punting from.

Ranking third in number of punts inside the opponents' 20 tells you all you need to know about where many of his punts were coming from.   McD's strategy was to pin the other team deep in their end and use our defense to force three and outs, thereby winning the field position game...

    11. Buffalo Bills

Take away every team’s quarterback, and the Bills probably have one of the five best rosters in the league. QB traditionalists have given up on Josh Allen, but he made significant progress from his rookie year to last season. Not all quarterbacks find success in the same way. Allen is never going to complete 70 percent of his passes. But if he can be more accurate downfield and hurt teams with his legs, the Bills have a chance to make a deep playoff run. The defense is well-coached and might be more talented than last year when it finished seventh in efficiency.

    Season prediction: 10-6, wild-card round

  5. I've always enjoyed Peter's work, but sadly, this semi-retirement gig he's eased into reminds me of the end of Larry Felser's career.

Both guys had/have forgotten more about the NFL than any of us will ever know.   But their analysis and opinions just fell off the cliff as they worked less and had fewer contacts around the league.    It's the natural progression of getting old and it will happen to all of us eventually...

Imagine if Beane did this.  There would be a half dozen poster on this board talking about that 5 years from now!

IDK.  According to PFF, Miami had the worst O-Line in the the NFL in 2019.  The same thing with Arizona in 2018.    The odds of any QB succeeding in those sitituations are next to nil.

Going to a better team like the Bucs with no pressure and getting to watch how the GOAT prepares and plays (even if Brady's a shell of his former self) will probably help Rosen as much as possible in an NFL setting...

So 4 full playbooks and 5 OCs inside of 22ish months

And not exactly a Murderes' Row of O-line help any place he played.

    32. MIAMI DOLPHINS
There wasn’t much debate about the worst offensive line in the league last year, as Miami ranked last in both pass and run blocking — only one of the seven linemen with at least 330 snaps graded above 60.0.

We could see as many as four new starters this season, though question marks still swarm.

To me, that will be the secret sause that get's Allen over the hump in Buffalo.  A young QB needs to be protected by a competent O-line while they learn how to play at this level.  Having a better WR group certainly doesn't hurt either...0:)

Several years ago...probably 15-20, I heard that the happiest women in the country were from Asheville. Plus two other cities that I've forgotten. My brother has lived there the past 35 years. Probably 10 degrees cooler in the summer than the middle of the state. Lots of microbreweries. Sorry to hear it has lost its charm.

It's still very nice but summer time traffic has grown exponentially, reducing it's charm to me.    That's a problem everytime a "best place" rating shines a light on a small town not equiped to handle the influx of tourists...
