These players and organizations have the means and funds to change the things they only simply talk about. Well I’m also tired of hearing it.

I’m just saying not all cops are bad and that there’s cops risking their lives every day to save/help people ,

For the life of me, I can't see how people take the POV that protesters are criticizing "all cops."

Do people lump all Bills fans into the same pot as the one hundred or so that get arrested after each home game?    Or make a broad brush statement that all drinkers are the same as a guy with multiple DUIs?

The 'Defund the Police' tag line does a huge disservice to reform.   Most all people want the police to protect and serve.  That's a no-brainer.    What the rally cry should have been is "Demilaterize the Police," which is the biggest shift in policing in the past 20 years...and scenes of which pepper that Bills video.

Different company made the cereal so they may have been given permission.

Turns out Hy-Vee were already the "official grocery chain" of the Chiefs and had an NFL license, which allowed them to use the KC logo and uniform.

Interestingly, it's made by the same company that did Flutie Flakes (PLB Sports & Entertainment out of Pittsburgh).  Maybe Josh should have given them a call...

  4. Worst game (and the one that made me decide to give up my season tix):

The Phins were blowing out the Bills 24-0 in the third quarter and were driving again.   Miami had a third down at the Bills 13 and got flagged for a personal foul--which would have backed them up just out of Orlindo Mare's field goal range if they didn't convert.  For whatever reason, Wade Phillips declined the penalty and Miami kicked the FG.    I was so damn pissed at Wade for just rolling over that it broke the camel's back and that was it for me...

I first learned about this game from the Bills 35th anniversary VHS tape that I got as a kid. Didn't Ferguson complete a long pass to Hooks the play before or earlier in the drive to set that up?

Yes, indeed.  It was one hell of a catch...

"Hooks had made an incredible diving catch down the middle for 37 yards to get the winning drive started. “That was the key catch of the day,” said Ferguson. “Without that one, we wouldn’t have had a chance for the last one.”

Fingers crossed. The book was so complex that even if you read the book I can imagine it would hard to follow in a two to three hour movie.  A miniseries would be great but likely too expensive.

Breaking it into two movies is a good idea.    Even at 4+ hours, it might be not enough time to tell the story...

Preseason does help teams get ready, but I think the primary purpose is for evaluating your roster. I think a lot of players didn't get a chance to show what they can do and got cut because of it.

I used to agree with that.   But on the other hand, how many bottom half roster guys have been "All SJF" or "All Fredonia" or "All TSW" who actually amounted to a hill of beans?

The preseason gives as many false positives as it does negatives, IMO.     If a player can play, for the most part it will become obvious in practice with maybe 1-2 roster-quality guys per year not getting enough reps to make their case.

I'm trying to think of fringe players who were ultimately kept and developed who's choice was based on preseason game performance.    Drawing a blank at the moment...

  8. They were...forty years ago.

The Bills used to hold camp at Niagara University when I went there in the early 1980s.   They actually spent much of that time getting in shape, which seems quaint today when players work out 24/7.   But back then, many guys actually didn't do that and some even held off-season jobs.

The evolution of how players maintain their conditioning, nutrition etc. reduces that need.   However, as others have said, the owners never miss a trick to monetize their asset and preseason games are free money for them...
