  1. You don't have to attend Bills practices to know what they are like. They practice inside when it's cold and the players love him, doesn't that tell you enough about how easy his practices must be?? Do you really think that the Bills showed mental toughness this year?
  2. You are obviously missing the bus on disciplining people.
  3. Yes, that is one way to do it, put a lesser player out there. Look at what Andy Reid did with Donovan McNabb, he pulled him for the 2nd string guy, pissed him off and he came back big time! You've got to shake it up, football is an emotional game. He didn't make them better, they added a few good players, and their still 7-9, that's not making them better in my book.
  4. You think that Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are better than Marshawn and Fred Jackson, not me. If anything they are about equal.
  5. 1. That's what the players tell everyone because they aren't held accountable and don't have to worry about getting called out for bad play. 2. Agree 3. What makes you think that, he's made crucial, bad game decisions that show that he is not at all organized during nearly every game this season! 4. That's all fine and dandy, but once again he doesn't hold anyone accountable for their poor play. 5. It's not too hard to do when you are playing not to lose. There are several examples of this all year ie. the Pats game right before the half, he was trying to kick a field goal instead of throwing one into the end zone, to possibly get a TD, and if that didn't work, at least the clock would have stopped. 6. Football is an emotional game, I would like a Coach with some emotion. He's a book smart guy that cannot think on his feet and sounds as if he's reading from a script. 7. Agree 8. The players are not that bad, we have as much talent as the Dolphins and look what they did with a coach with some fire. Players coaches are great in pee wee football, but these are grown men that need some discipline and accountablility. Jauron is a career underachieving coach. I truly believe DJ is insane, because he keeps trying to do the same thing and expects a different result!
  6. Great post, we need something positive to read about after this year's debacle. I used to live in Nashvegas myself during the Bills SB years and loved it until I went back for the Miracle throw forward game in '99 and got in several fights with Titans fans.
  7. Players don't react to Coughlin or Belichick??? Give me a break, that is far from the truth. Tough coaches have won 6 of the last 7 Super Bowls, so your theory is very flawed!!
  8. I agree with you when it comes to an OC or DC for continuity, but definitely not HC. With the young guys that we have, we need a leader, someone that takes charge and is tough on the players, Jauron is not that type of coach. He would be a fine addition as a coordinator though. Just look at what the Dolphins did this year with a new coach.
  9. Unbelievable, you're sticking up for a career loser/underachieving coach?? I agree, they may be one of the least penalized teams, but that's probably because they play not to lose. He's soft on the players, so they will like him, yet there are very few teams that win, with players coaches, and the worst reason not to get rid of him, is that it will be tough to replace him!!! That's like being in a bad marriage and not getting a divorce from your wife because you may not find another girl. The guy is a wet paper bag for a coach, but a great person.
  10. If we had to keep him, due to contract, etc., then I'd rather have him as the GM and NOT our coach.
  11. I agree with you on Sullivan, but Mort is an idiot and goes out of his way to dog the Bills. That guy's got a bone to pick with the Bills because of Donahoe and he won't let it go, totally unprofessional.
  12. Check out some of his columns during the first 6 games, they were positive regarding the Bills. He's pretty much always on the money and a hell of a lot more insightful than the rest of those guys.
  13. I agree with everything you said, except for blaming his lack of success on our coaching staff. Yes, our coaching staff is terrible, but JP has had more than enough chances to do something on this team and due to the fact that he is an outstanding athlete, that is dumber than a box of rocks, he failed. He can't read defenses in the NFL and that is a requirement these days. JP will never be a good QB in the NFL, mark my words.
  14. Good points about DJ that should be made public. However, IMO I would much rather have a coach that is a hard ass and tough on his players, and holds them accountable for their play. I don't know DJ personally, but I'm pretty sure he's the type of guy who pats them on the back and tells them that we'll get 'em next time, every time. That's great for kids, but not for grown men making millions in guaranteed money. If someone disagrees, all you have to do is look at the past Super Bowl Champion coaches like Coughlin, Bellichick, Cowher, Billick, Shanahan, Switzer, Johnson, Gibbs, Parcells, and Ditka to name a few. The exceptions to the rule are Dungy, Vermeil, and Seifert and I'm thinking that even DJ could have lead teams with that much talent, to the SB. Unfortunately, you've got to be an SOB sometimes and make the players do unpopular things to be successful in the NFL and that's not DJ's style, nor will it ever be. Which is why we don't need him as our HC if we really want to go to the next step with this group of guys.
  15. IT IS THE COACHING! Your right JPL sucks, we know that, so a good coach would keep the ball out of his hands during crucial situations, not call a play that requires JP to make a play!!!
  16. I agree with your comment about Losman, but if we know he sucks, why put the ball in his hands??? We were running with success! That play call was a gift to the Jets, unbelievable!!!!
  17. You nailed it regarding this whole post, we are missing the mental toughness! We don't need a coach that the players like, we need someone that they respect and somewhat fear. Look at the coaches in last years SB, how many guys on both teams do you think actually like Coughlin and Belichick?? Fire DJ, please.
  18. No way on McDaniel as a HC, see Romeo Crennel in Cleveland, although I agree with your choice of him as a DC. Belichick is behind ALL that goes on in NE, but he may make a decent OC.
  19. I don't think there is anyone out there that doesn't have some sort of gorilla on his back, but I'd say he has the lightest gorilla. Not sure why his offenses didn't perform, but he took what he had and made them a contender as well as a SB Champ. At this point, I would take anyone but DJ and his play not to lose attitude.
  20. Definitely UNDER-achieving and I'd go with Brian Billick. He's won a SB, he's smart, and coaches with passion and emotion. DJ has one of those 3 qualities and book smart doesn't count, so I'm changing to none of those qualities.
  21. You pretty much hit it on the head. DJ has no emotion and most teams are the mirror image of their coach. There did not seem to be a sense of URGENCY with this team today. Football is a game of emotion and the Bills seemed to lack it today against a poor team that traveled across the country to play in our house. If this doesn't get DJ fired, nothing will!
  22. I was concerned and understand why other people are concerned, but I also know that it's a long process and that we're going to have to put up with a few bad games. As much as I can't stand DJ as our coach, at least he knows who gives us the best chance to win at QB.
  23. It doesn't nullify it, but it's all part of the growing process of an NFL QB. Do you honestly think that we have a better chance with anyone else? If you can't see the potential in Trent and don't understand that it takes time, you don't have a clue about the NFL.
