  1. rain, there playing in freaking rain. Not windy, not freezing. TE needs to suck it up. Live in atent in WNY for a few months.
  2. TE not looking good. underthrows, too hard, forcing in coverage in the EZ. He's the smart one, right?
  3. That sack was 3rd and obvious passing. Good test of an O-line. Good measure of the Colts DE's too. Colts won that one on both sides.
  4. Bills Tackles didn't look to good on that sack.
  5. Outside Bill almost lost contain on the kickoff
  6. So trivia ?: who was inside that Promo the Robot suit?
  7. Butler got neat on the stuffed running play. And Wow running out of the 4 reveiver set! Hooo!
  8. Gary Marangi - I heard a story one time, that the season he got to play because Fergy was hurt, Gary was also playing hurt, sholder injury. That is why he did so poorly. Never came back from the injury. Can anybody confirm this?
  9. According to Clayton he is the best TE left available. From the Chiefs, I know nothing about him. Anybody seen him play? worth adding to the camp competition? Also he mentions that Leftwich is still available. Saw some traffic here that some liked that idea for BU QB. I met someone that knew him. Thought he was a good guy. I'd rather keep JP. Coming off the bench or for a few games to hand off to ML he'd be ok. But I'd trade him for a good receiver (even to package him to move back into R1 for a couple good players) & take Leftwich instead.
  10. and find a full back that can destroy the first guy.
  11. Someone who does better analysis of the game maybe you can help answer a few questions? 1. It looked like Mcgahee bounced less outside after he was hurt. He was slowed, for certain, but is that true? 2. Running to the right only worked when it bounced outside? Left side had the big holes? 2. On 1 of the sacks the pressure from right side was a missed block by the fullback. Who was in on that play and wiffed? 3. I recall 2 throws to Josh Reed on 3rd down where he was a yard or 2 short of the stick. Isn't that a pretty basic route, on 3rd make sure you have the distance? 4. Shobel got shut down in the 2nd half were they double teaming him or?? I know these concentrate on the bad. Overall the Bills kept me entertained, watching the game till the end. Losman lookecd pretty good. I have this nagging worry though that he is the second coming of Rob Johnson. When everything was going right (just like in practice) he looks great. When things fall apart he makes bad decisions (or freezes) . We'll see as the season goes on.
  12. Maybe a zone blitz using our DEs as LBs? kind of like a 3-4 but in this case to get pressure on the running game? I do worry about cold weather = running game, with smallish DL we lose.
  13. And the star power Lienert brings would make Buffalo a viable destination for FA's. Who in thier right mind would come to Buffalo except for top dollar and a chance to start. That means we overpay for all FA's or they wouldn't be choosing Buffalo. Look at who was willing to come once Jimbo showed up.
  14. R1A - Linert, Too good to pass up. Wait and see. Tough enough to clean his cleats on RJ. Arm Strength? Maybe, but he's a football player through and through. Would've been the next best thing since Jim Kelly. The kind of guy that would make FA's want to come to Buffalo. R1B- Kiwauka, A DE that can pass rush on 3rd down even when they know it's coming. R3 - Dvoracek, DT that can penetrate & clog up the middle. R4- Jahari Evans, OT will be coached/get experience into a fine OT. R5 - Pociask - TE (Hback for us) a lead blocker for our RBs. R6 & 7 OK the Bills crap shoot here are as good as anyone's. Would have been the buzz of the draft. Holcomb becomes trade bait. Nall and JP fight for the backup spots. Marv gets a QB who could call his own plays (rebirth of the no huddle)
  15. I'll admit we have no idea of the draft boards of other teams. But, when evaluators (even us fans) look at productivity in college, off field problems, combine results, we have the basically the same data. There is no way in heck that all of us non NFL GM's can be that much different than the sum of the 32 boards. Reaching for a position of need has never been a good draft strategy. Picking the best talent and figuring how to use them is the way to go. These guys have a lot to prove. So based on where they were drafted and what value they had in my eyes - so far they stink. Hope to be presently surpised (that is why I opt for a bag on the head as opposed to jumping to another team).
  16. This draft stinks. The idea is to choose the best palyers available and build around them. I am flabbergasted, this ranks as one of the poorest uses of value of draft picks I have seen in 20 years of watching the draft. These guys might be good players but no one else valued them this high, so we should have been able to do so much more. Is anyone really satisfied that we could have kept all our picks and still have gotten Ngata and Roman Harper. Instead of these 2? I haven't been this apalled since the reach for Erik Flowers. Pass me one of the bags from the 'Aints fans.
