Why does Snyder hate his draft picks so much?
I takes too long to develop picks in his opinion. With the cap increasing at 10-15% per annum, he can continue to open his pocketbook to pay large signing bonuses without having any cap issues. If they had some real talent evaluators, this would work.
-
he is not doing anything for any team, as far as I know. I did see him a few weeks ago on ESPN, talking with someone about the draft. He was asked which of his draft picks was a "sure thing" and he said Joey Porter was the one that stood out as a no-brainer.
.......one could read that last line a couple different ways
Hmmm....Not Willis McGahee or Mike Williams.....hmmm interesting.

I was at the game too....a few observations for the Sabres Fan
1. The Sabres are a dirty team, but they are smart about it. They took on the Lindy Ruff style and do not get caught at it alot.
2. That too many men on the ice penalty was brilliant, avoided the break away against a weak Caps PP.
3. Unless the Sabres play a little better on the defensive end, could be a short run to the Cup. Too many times that Miller had to bail them out.
4. It has been a while since a Presidents Cup winner won the Stanley Cup.
5. There was a 2:1 ratio of Sabres fans to Caps fans...and they were loud...that was nice to see.
6. I can see why Buffalo teams do not get respect, a few Sabres fans were a little obnoxious today.
Good luck in the Playoffs.

The lack of even a small discussion here, on this matter, shows how irrelevant Imus really is.
I agree!
-
Tennessee has some real nice babes....unlike Rutgers...Just ask Imus.
-
We just got rid of Willis McGimpee....do we want another Willis? What's up Willis?
-
As a Tennessee fan and Bills fan I love this pick. Marv loves UT players. We traded TKO to get another UT player. Love it!
-
Whatever, I'd be happy with either AP or Lynch. No 2nd or 3rd round picks as RB though please marv.
So we should draft another McGahee in the first? There are quality backs in the 2nd round...take one if available.
-
Maybe the at large bids could include Dead BOTD..such as Anna Nicole Smith.
-
I wish UB would get smart and hire the Albany coach to replace Witherspoon.

First of all the Bills HAVE TO SPEND MONEY. They can't stay $30 million under the cap as it's against the rules. I believe the salary cap is $109 million and the minimum cap is like $102 million.
I never knew there was a minimum teams had to spend..that is news to me.

This is a damned if you do....damned if you don't thread. Marv goes out and makes a little splash to improve the OL and now we are critical we could have used that money to sign Clements and Fletcher. If we would have resigned them, everyone would complain we did nothing to improve the line. Neither Clements or Fletcher wanted to resign, so Marv moves on and signs some players. We can replace the CB abd MLB through the draft and we have a solid team. Can we compete in the AFC East? I think so!

The answer is,..pay it. The fine is not the issue, but how points are assessed in your home state. That is never fully understood to me.

What seats?
Wife's boss gives us tickets to a half-dozen games a year. Third row off the ice, behind the away goal.
I am up in Section 401.

stop the presses...I agree with you...
Caps season ticket holder here....Zubie is an Excellent center. Injury prone though.
-
Sabres fleeced the Caps....great pick up for the Sabres.
-
It doesn't mean that at all, though I'm not surprised that's what YOU'D conclude.
Ole wise and know it all...what can you conclude?? Given the information at the time? Sounds to me (the stupid one) that the Giants do not value him as more than a 4th round pick.
-
Giants not willing to give up day one pick for Willis .Story on Bills Daily
What does that say about the value if WM? It says he is a late round pick at best.....hmmm.....maybe TD made a mistake? Nah, never happens.

But the Bills had the toughest schedule in the NFL last season. They played the top 5 teams in the league based on draft order (Pats twice). So 6 of 16 games (6 of 9 loses) came against the best teams in the league.
1 Oakland Raiders 2-14 .555
2 Detroit Lions 3-13 .523
3 Cleveland Browns# 4-12 .535
4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers# 4-12 .535
5 Arizona Cardinals 5-11 .500
6 Washington Redskins 5-11 .512
7 Minnesota Vikings 6-10 .488
8 Houston Texans 6-10 .504
9 Miami Dolphins 6-10 .543
10 Atlanta Falcons 7-9 .457
11 San Francisco 49ers 7-9 .500
12 Buffalo Bills 7-9 .574
13 St. Louis Rams 8-8 .465
14 Carolina Panthers 8-8 .473
15 Pittsburgh Steelers 8-8 .496
16 Green Bay Packers 8-8 .500
17 Jacksonville Jaguars 8-8 .531
18 Cincinnati Bengals 8-8 .535
19 Tennessee Titans 8-8 .570
20 New York Giants 8-8 .520
21 Denver Broncos 9-7 .531
22 Dallas Cowboys 9-7 .457
23 Kansas City Chiefs 9-7 .492
24 New England Patriots (from Seattle) 9-7 .453
25 New York Jets 10-6 .469
26 Philadelphia Eagles 10-6 .477
27 New Orleans Saints 10-6 .461
28 New England Patriots 12-4 .496
29 Baltimore Ravens 13-3 .461

31 Chicago Bears 13-3 .430
32 Indianapolis Colts 12-4 .500

The team is even in worse shape with Cottrell at DC.
He may be able to operate a strong DC like Wade, but he has failed miserably when on his own as DC.
Looks like AJ Smith has a really bad case of Donahoitis and is intent on hiring incompetents to keep in a position of power.
How can two sources have two different conclusions? According to ESPN, the Chargers are still interviewing, and Mora is in the mix.
I think Ted C is a better D coordinator than you give him credit for. When in Minnesota, he had a very good defense. Would not be surprised to see Clements going to SD to play for Ted.
-
It is called addition by substraction. If we replace these players will players of similar or better skills for the Bills system, then we are set. I am not saying we will be able to replace them, but I am not too concerned about Kelsay and Spikes as the team played well with out Spikes and has depth at DE. Fletcher is a good MLB, but not a great one, so I think that finding solid MLB is not the issue. Clements will sign his big contract somewhere else, and play like Winfield in Minnesota, so no concern there.

That is how Witherspoon wins game...needs a lucky bounce.
-
Given the recent news....he will be in Dallas!
