  1. How about the Bills rock the throwbacks for another week, and the Bucs revert to the old orange and white? That pirate with the knife in his mouth on those helmets was outstanding!
  2. That would give us two RBs, because you know McGahee is Irish. He's from the same village in Ireland as Shaquille O'Neal.
  3. (5)Tennessee at (6)Florida (8)Florida St. at (17)Boston College Michigan St. at (10)Notre Dame (13)Miami at (20)Clemson (21)Oklahoma at UCLA (23)Fresno St. at Oregon Man-o-man, college football is great! Another slew of good games on the docket. My predictions didn't pan out so hot last week, so pay no attention to my blind shots at this week's NCAA dartboard. Here I go: UT at UF- first time these 2 schools have played when both are in the Top 10- I'll take Chris Leak and Florida at home. FSU at BC- BC still seems like a Big East team to me, so normally I'd go with the ACC, but FSU had some serious issues against Miami. I'll take Boston College MSU at ND- State will want to defend the honor of the state of Michigan, but last week I picked UM because I said "Notre Dame showed me nothing yet." They showed me something. I'll take the Irish UM at Clemson- Ouch! Tough one. Clemson is 2-0 and nasty at home, but we know Miami should have beaten FSU. I'll go with the Canes OU at UCLA- Struggling Oklahoma loses out west to 2-0 UCLA Fresno St. at Oregon- Fresno St. pulls a minor upset at the toughest place to play in the Pac 10.
  4. I'm sure Mularkey had him hanging with Holcomb and Matthews so that he could hear the plays that were being called in to the QB's earpiece, and then watch what Josh Reed would do on those plays. Just like in practice, when his arm was in a cast but he was popping his head in the huddle to hear the play call. Good move by the coaches, so he remains a part of the offense as much as possible so that he is good to go (at least playbook-wise) when he returns.
  5. I'll making the trek down from Buffalo...I think my seats are in the endzone opposite the pirate ship. Hopefully the cannons are silent on Sunday Looking forward to checking out the stadium and also seeing a good game. I agree, hopefully no injuries either way....too early for that..... I'll be staying with my old college roommate in the Hyde Park section of Tampa- I heard its a good location. I'll be getting in on Thursday and partying till Monday! Good luck!
  6. After the nice first drive by JP got the crowd pumped, when Schoebel sacked Carr on third down, the place was as loud as I've ever heard it.
  7. There was not one moment yesterday (at the Bills game, or watching the 2nd half of the Dallas game afterwards) where I wished the Bills still had Bledsoe. Good for him if he plays well, but good riddance.
  8. The Bills D does deserve credit. JP played a very composed and efficient game. BUT..... The Texans were pathetic!!! I wouldn't go patting each other on the back if I were the Bills. Carr and the boys looked like the Ralph was the last place they wanted to be yesterday, and they never even put up a fight. I don't think the Bills really deserve any national attention after beating a bottom-feeder team at home, when teams like Tampa and New Orleans pulled off big upsets on the road. The Bills ain't done nothin yet. They were supposed to win.
  9. I see many years of JP and Gus battling for the starting Pro Bowl spot
  10. Say what? Everyone and their mother had a McGahee jersey on.
  11. You poor Fins fans have been there before.....
  12. After Tampa's big win in Minny yesterday, the Bills are early 2 point underdogs for this game...
  13. Anyone heading to the game in Tampa this weekend? I am all fired up after yesterday's performance by BOTH teams- it should be a good one. Any Tampa backers on the board who can tell me where a good spot to park is so I can toss back some beers with some Bills fans? I'm sure there will be a decent number of Buffalo fans down there, so even if there's no central location, it shouldn't be too hard to find some Blue and Red...
  14. Here's the final tally from the over/under numbers-- 1. Bills-Texans O/U 38 UNDER- 29 2. McGahee rushing yds O/U 120 UNDER- 117 3. Losman passing yds O/U 225 UNDER- 170 4. Bills D total sacks O/U 4.5 OVER- 6 5. Bills D turnovers O/U 2.5 OVER- at least 6 6. Lindell's longest good FG O/U 39 yds OVER- 42 7. Beers you will drink between 8am-4pm O/U 16 Definitely UNDER for me...it was too hot to even drink beers once I got in the stadium. I'd say I was in the 8-10 range. Here I go: 1. under 2. over 3. under 4. under 5. over 6. over 7. probably over but who's counting
  15. Incredible. That was very interesting. Some amazing shots.
  16. I played cards and got drunk last night, showed up at work at 10am (about 2 hours late) and I'm leaving early to head to Pilot Field for the Bisons playoff game. The Herd are up 2-0 and ready to advance. Tent party behind RF starts at 5pm, game at 7:05pm. The Bisons have a good young pitcher hurling tonight, Fausto Carmona. I was very impressed when I saw him earlier this year. Head to the ballpark and kickoff this sporting weekend with some beers, baseball, and beautiful weather. Plus, it will help pass the time until 1pm Sunday!!!!!
  17. I am rock hard after reading that.
  18. With the Pats, there's always some way to criticize their play..."They have the best coaching/best gameplan/lucky breaks/other team did or didn't do this/refs/coordinators/etc." The fact is they DO have good players who make plays when it matters. The coaching can put players in postitions, but they still have to make plays. I certainly hope they go 1-15, but 14-2 and two titles the past two years means you have a damn good squad. I have a lot of hate but also a lot of respect for the Pats.
  19. By the way, when was the last time OSU played a night game? I don't remember seeing a game at the Horseshoe under the lights....please correct me if I'm wrong....always seems to be Saturday afternoon.
  20. Same deal here, I haven't watched a bunch of Texas games. Pretty much just the OU-UT game every year...which means I usually see Texas take a dump. Vince had a big Rose Bowl, but that was predominantly with his feet. I don't see him airing it out, and I'm sure OSU will scheme for his running. It's gonna be interesting, and I plan on watching since I'll be resting my liver for Sunday's big opener! I think I will probably take OSU (-1). I know my pick above said Texas, but I have been swayed by the masses!!!
  21. Yeah, I caught that yesterday and posted a correction above. Do you like Iowa (-9)? Does Iowa State have anything?
  22. Peter "Burger" King's picks
  23. Free bag of coke with every season ticket purchase!!! Boom- sellouts!!!
  24. Yeah, yeah, Texas-Ohio State is all well and good, but more importantly, what about UBuffalo at Syracuse? Also, misprint above: Iowa State is home vs. Iowa, not the other way around. I'll still take Iowa, but not sure I like Iowa (-9)
  25. Ahh, just kidding Marv.... Look At Me Post Means an off-topic thread, or something that is posted which draws attention to the person posting it.
