  1. Fried bologna is usually an event at my house....Probably a heart stopping event but an event, nonetheless....

First off..Go to your local Deli and order a pound or two of Bologna..When the young zit-faced clerk asks you how you want that sliced, just BARK, "I don't".

Proceed to the produce section...Pick out a few nice onions,be creative here....a few white onions and a few red onions work well...

While still in the produce section, pick up a half pound or a full pound of jalepeno's...screw the green or bell peppers, they are nothing but wannabee's...

Proceed to the dairy section...Pick up some butter..not margarine, not some fancy-ass pansy heart healthy cheap imitation good for you substitute make you feel good tub of false hope putty...While you are  there pick up some cheese.

Head on over to the bakery...Pick out your bread of choice..I prefer francicitas (mini french bread)...

What  time is this being served ..I'll be right there...What kind of beer do you want me to bring...???

Be sure to pay for your goods...

    THE FRYING...

The secret here is to use an Iron skillet....I use two...one for the bologna and one for the onions and jalepeno's...if you don't sneeze or well up over the skillet with the peppers and onions then you messed up...

Fry the bologna to your liking...if it turns up a little or a lot burnt around the edges just proclaim it "Cajun"....

Top it off by adding Webers, kethup or whatever your choice....I prefer pico-de-gallo, but whatever blows your dress up.....

    Enjoy

  2. Oh, well over a half a million scousers getting very drunk and very happy in the streets. Also it is a national holiday on Monday, so there will be some VERY hungover people in Liverpool come Tuesday.

    Incredible game.

Scoring the three second half goals in the short time span was incredible..

Like some one else mentioned , it was similar to the quick scores against Denver in 1990..

England and US National teams in 'friendly' on Sat...

  3. I watched that game last night at my moms.

Did you see the antics of the Liverpool Goalie. Very bizarre. But 2 of those penalty kicks should have been retakes, the goalie was clearly not staying on his line prior to the kick being taken.

The keepers are allowed to move, but not forward...You are correct,,Two of the kicks showed him going forward...The AR on the line shudda made the call..

Again this was an exciting match and is going to be re-broadcast on ESPN Classic tonight

  4. No,,, there was not a riot or anything like that.. What happened was one of the most incredible matches ever held....

This match was for the European Champions League title...Very prestigious...

Liverpool (England) vs..A C Milan (Italy)..Both teams are noted for their strong defense...

AC scored 3 goals in the first half and ALL their fans began a huge celebration.. The broadcasters said "It's ALL over." Well no one told Liverpool and a great comeback commenced at the 53rd minute of the match...Another goal at the 56th minute and Liverpool is ALIVE...Then a penalty kick for Liverpool tied the match at 3--3 at he 59th minute and the celebration of the Liverpool fans was incredible...

3 goals in 6 minutes is pretty remarkable..

Another 30 minutes of OT was played, but no goals were scored..The white clad AC team had one excellent chance but the goalie for Liverpool made a brilliant save..

A penalty kick shootout occured and Liverpool won 3--2..

So this reminded me of the Buffalo Bills vs Houston Oilers and the Bills great comeback Jan.3, 1993...Never , never, never give up !!!

  5. We have a 10 year old dog Lab/Spaniel Mix and 3 cats under the age of 3,,,,They were strays rescued by my daughter...Apparently the Bob Evans restaurant she works at is a popular cat dumping place,,,So we said. "Sure, bring them home. As long as YOU take care of them." That lasted all of 3 weeks and now Mrs. Lew and I take care of them...

All four of the critters get along and the cats, esp the calico, will groom the dog..It is funny to watch and the dog loves it...She just lays there and gets a nice bath as it were...

And these cats will 'fetch' also....They will fetch wadded pieces of paper and that is a fun game...

Now if I can get the cats to eat that noisy bird we have , I'd be all set...Damn thing chirps ALL the time....

  6. Tiger Wood's streak of 142 tournaments making the cut is pretty amazing.....

Wilt's scoring AVERAGE of 50 ppg is really incredible...If my memory serves me right he was criticized for not playing good defense...The next season he was one of the leaders in blocked shots...

The "Miracle on Ice" ...1980 US Olympics win in hockey,

    Those are my three

  7. Newcastle Brown or Guiness (but only from draught)

    335589[/snapback]

Todd...you read my mind,,(doesn't take much ) a local place has both of these on tap so we flip a coin for the evenings beverage....

    Killians is gaining popularity too....

Molson Golden when I am in WNY

  8. The only two teams that have caught my interest were the Baltimore Colts..until they got rid of Johnny U...and the Browns until 1995..Until Art Modell ripped the heart out of the Cleveland fans...

I lived in NEOhio in the 1980's and thank goodness for Erie PA,,,The TV stations in Erie would broadcast either a Browns game or a Bills game...AND there were times that WBEN's radio signal would come across Lake Erie clear as a bell...

But now those two franchises are history for me,,,So it's "F'em all"

    Geaux Bills !!!
