After filling up the pillow cases, we'd go to one of our neighbors who had a huge picnic table
and deck area. There we feasted on DiCamillo donuts, hot chocolate or apple cider.
Many candy exchanges occurred at this table.

We saw Ringo Starr and his All Star band last night. My 10 year old grandson ( an avowed Beatles fan ) loved the concert
as did all the AARP+ members of the audience.
I knew Edgar Winter was a great musician and last night proved that by leaps and bounds. Wow he was good.
It was a fun concert and it will be my last time dealing with Ticketmaster.
If not for the fine people in the ticket office our night would have been ruined.
Instead of 5 seats together in a row, ticketmaster sent us 5 seats in 5 different rows.
AARRGGHHHHHHHHHHHH.
And tickets on the cell phone are an abomination.

Watch any game from SoFi stadium, shared home of the Rams and Chargers. It always seems the visitors out numbers
and out cheers the 'hometown' fans. My friend was at the Wash..Bills contest and he was amazed at the size and the loudness
of the Bill's fans.

To OP. Congrats on becoming a sports official for HS sports. It is a great time commitment but there is a lot of fulfilment that comes with it.
I have officiated HS soccer for 20 years but this year I am taking a pause in the action and will mentor the young ones. My knees are a mess
and replacement is imminent. In that time I have only had one 'encounter' and it was mild. A lady fan of the worst team in the area offered me her
glasses after one match. Listening to the fans is one thing I tell the new referees NOT to do. Few of them played soccer, so they generally are not
aware of what they are yelling about. Alas, football is different as everyone in the stands thinks they are Ed Hochuli.
Advice. Know the rules intimately and be confident of your calls. That will reduce fan's abuse.

While working our company had a Cadillac dental plan. The health care plan was a Chevy Chevette.

Mrs. Lew and I are retired 3 years now. We dont miss work at all.
Hobbies ..I golf and Mrs Lew reads
Volunteering. We both volunteer at a soup kitchen once a week. There are 20
churches and organizations that rotate the other days.
Church. We are both on committees and I am a camera operator for
the live streaming of the service.
But the best thing we do is watch the two grandkids. Best job ever.
my only advice is before you retire , get all your dental work done. i.e. crown, root canal, etc
Let the companies dental insurance pay for that.
