Its interesting that you make the distinction of "radical islam" here, but you act as though all Islam is extremist.
-
Just because it supposedly preaches both doesn't mean that it is a text of hypocracy since there are conditions involved. From what I've seen from the Qu'ran it says that they are to fight back against oppressors and be tolerant of other people that aren't oppressors. Sounds strangely like most country's foreign policies. Is it the religion's fault or is it the culture of society over there which causes this? Do Muslims in the US ban their members from reading material which criticizes Islam? Egypt bans friggin anything and everything, including: Some Muslim Extremist Books, Madonna, Bruce Almighty, The Matrix, Foreign Belly Dancers, Foreign Poultry, The Da Vinci Code (book & movie), Shark Fishing, Poll Monitors, Bird Hunting, the wife of the owner of a ferry that sank in the Red Sea, and more. Egypt also has state-control of the media iirc. So is it the religion that is causing it, or is it the case where correlation is present, but does not cause it? Most Middle Eastern countries have strict government controls.

I didn't think JP was the best QB in the league...

Oh noe!!! Another person overstATEZ wut everYONe ont his boARd is saying about JP. What EVAR willw e DEW?!?!

Actually, its more or less that you are filtering out what information you don't want to read, given your predisposition against Islam.

I would rather have JP than Pennington
Chilly replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
rofl. JP sucked today? Uh, no. JP had a decent day today. He made some bad decisions and some good decisions. If you want a game where JP actually sucked, there are a good number of them, but this was not one of them. -
What do you say to Jp after our loss to the Jets?
Chilly replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whether he gets a certain number of starts or not, if its your 3rd year at QB in the league, its do or die time. -
How many "I hate JP, he stinks!" threads
Chilly replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not many. If you look at the front page, theres only 2 right now. There's many more saying "JP played decent but...." -
lawl, attack the poster and not the point, good job! lawl again. I'd say the same !@#$ing thing I've said all day about JP: It was encouraging, but by no means above average QB play out of him today. We must be reading different posts, must of the negative posts about JP today have been suggesting that he should take part of the blame for the loss, but he still is showing something he hasn't before today. Everytime someone says that JP needs work, someone responds with something saying that it was the rest of the team's fault. Well no sh--, there are almost always multiple reasons that a team loses, but you can't just say "Willis missed his block causing a turnover and thats why we lost." Anyone that has partially blamed JP today has made the accuisation that he has to be perfect to silence his critics, which is complete and utter bull sh--. The 2nd post in this thread is the following: The 3rd post is: 6th post: In contrast, all the threads that I've clicked on that have been criticizing JP, have said that he's partially to blame for today. Whenever that happens, someone responds saying he must be perfect. While JP was very promising and had a better game, he is not without criticism. Neither is the rest of the team.
-
Yeah, because everyone that's saying JP had an average game for an NFL quarterback is saying he has to be perfect. Some of you people amaze me.
-
Comparing JP to Palmer doesn't help your cause if it really is a misconception.
-
Or this game. Or this one. Or this one. Once again, you can't just isolate games to tell whether a QB is good or not. No sh--, thats my same feeling about the entire game, but JP didn't prove anything in this game beyond potential.
-
No, I was referring to the mistakes over all his games. When I said "JP-led offense" I did NOT mean JP, but rather this is what we've seen over the past couple years during his time here. Show me where I said that it did eh? Yeah, right, I was REALLY happy the Bills lost today, and I sound like it. I am appalled at the love fest on this board all of a sudden for JP. I was encouraged that he had a pretty decent day today and that it was encouraging compared to what we've seen. However, this whole forum is filled with people who are acting as if he can do no wrong. Any day, good or bad, needs to be taken into the context of their entire career. Just because JP was an average QB today compared with the rest of the NFL doesn't mean that these types of posts are sane. To compare Palmer and Losman is to isolate their games over just one week instead of an entire career. Palmer has a history of playing well and winning football games. In fact, he had 4 TDs today to go with his interceptions against one of the best defenses in the league. Losman made many mistakes against one of the worst defenses in the league. I was encouraged to see Losman make plays today, mistakes or not, and I think he could turn out pretty decent over the course of this season. Its his make or break year. But to see people comparing him to Palmer by isolating this one week is ridiculous.

Show me a game where JP played this well.
-
While that might be true, how many drives by the Bills were killed by mistakes? How down did the Bills feel about themselves about that? How would it have been different if the Bills had converted one of those? Its not just points that make turnovers killers.
-
No, I think JP played a pretty average game today. My point was more or less that this is par for the course for a JP-led offense over all of his starts, while its not normal for a Palmer-led offense, give or take. At some point you do need to make changes, and at the end of this season is a perfect time to evaluate JP. The whole offense made mistakes, including Losman. Not one guy is to blame for sure, but JP should get his share of both the praise and the blame. So what? Thats supposed to excuse JP's mistakes? We shouldn't look critically at the bad things JP did while praising him for the good things he has done? By the way, it was true, Palmer didn't lose.

What do you say to Jp after our loss to the Jets?
Chilly replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So? Just because it wasn't the QB's fault doesn't mean that mistakes weren't made and that it wasn't the difference in the game. I've seen plenty of teams make no mistakes when theres a good pass rush on the QB. It all depends on how well the offensive line/backs are at picking up blitzes, and the QBs at getting rid of the football. Whoever wins the turnover battle wins football games. I'm not disagreeing with you that the pass rush was a big part of the loss, it was. But it was only one facet of the overall mistakes that the Bills made, and only one part of the reason why the Jets didn't have a turnover. -
Didn't say they were his fault, the only reason why I said those things was to point out the other side of the stats. The mistakes were the whole damn team's fault, and if they don't make them, they win, plain and simple.
-
The thing is, though, Palmer's mistakes didn't cost Cincinnati the game. JP's did. I'm not saying JP or Palmer should be benched. The difference is that Palmer won't do that much over the course of a season, whether JP will needs to be seen.

Chilly replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd disagree. I think the game today came down to mistakes. The Jets had 0 turnovers. The Bills had 3 (plus lots of other mistakes, killing drives and what not). Jets didn't make them, Bills did. The one that the Jets made almost cost them a win too if Losman would have played better on the last drive. -
2 fumbles, horrid last drive.

Gruden attempts to improve his offense

lawl You have your head so far up your ass, as usual, you don't know what you're talking about. Here's a hint: I'm not registered as a Democrat. Of course, history on this board has shown that when you're talking about your ass, you like to pull out the insults, just like this post. At least you, unlike other posters, give us a warning when you are going to say something stupid. -
Ah, I know the quote, lol.
