  1. I was at the game.  15 years old walking up and down the aisles in the upper deck selling candy and popcorn.  Got yelled at a bunch of times for bring in the way!  Fundraiser for a drum & bugle corps I marched with back then.  Wasn’t a football fan yet, but that started to change with the 80 and 81 Bills.

Remember watching as a bunch of fans carrying a chunk of the goal post up the stands and tossed it over the rim of the stadium in the end zone opposite the scoreboard.  Seen a lot of crazy stuff at Bills games, but that had to be the most memorable.

Football players get paid to play football, is it that a negative to try to earn money at your profession?

Don’t hold it against any NFL player for getting paid.  I know I can’t do what they do.

This guy though?  If he comes back and is productive and becomes a team player?  Great.  Don’t believe he can.  He may make a PS,  but once he gets a paycheck he will flame out again.

Can’t stand lazy people.  In pro sports or those who work with me.

  3. Really not a fan of grading drafts before these guys ever set foot on a NFL field.

Did we have an eye on RB in the first round?  I feel if Beane truly wanted on of these guys he would have jumped the Steelers.  Seemed it was a good guess they were grabbing one.

I’d rather have the pass rush guys we got.  Both have a great ceiling, Basham seems a little more ready to me.  AFC Championship game proved we didn’t have the pass rush needed to win that game.  Believe we have 3 RB’s that are good.  Our guys didn’t get their numbers called a lot last year, feel it was play calling to the strengths of Josh.

Rest of the draft?  Inexpensive backups with potential.  With the current salary cap and Josh’s pending contract, gonna need these type of guys.

Watching good players that we believe could help the team get drafted ahead of the Bills is a symptom of picking at 30.  Only way to remedy that is to trade up or pick guys early.  Not sure Beane was interested in that, he wanted picks and players.

Feel it was a good draft.  Filled a few needs and added some guys with potential.

Can't see Addison getting traded with his contract. I think the more likely option would be to trade someone like a Phillips, Zimmer, Johnson, Bates, etc  than someone drafted this year.  You look at when the team traded Teller, he had one year of playing time and film to go off of.  Can't imagine a team trading for a guy we just selected and saw him play all of half of 2 pre-season games.

Considering the depth at DE, would they consider trading Epinesa??

Beane loves him some Addison.  Had a presser late draft yesterday and went out of his way to commend Addison on taking Epenesa under his wing (along with Hughes).  Also mentioned Addison texted him talking about helping out the new guys.

Beane mentioned the restructured contract and “he’ll be a FA next year”.  Agree, don’t think he’s going anywhere this year.

With our offseason and our first two picks who most likely won’t see the field much this season, I’m worried how we’ve improved going into the next season. Feel like KC, BALT, INDY, CLEV and even NE and MIA have raised the bar. We’ve done zilch to improve the running game or TE. Hope I’m wrong!

I believe both these guys will get in the rotation like Epenesa did last year.  Will be ready by the playoffs to contribute.

They also will push the guys ahead of them to be better.  Not a bad thing.

  6. Guy seems to have the physical attributes.  Doesn’t look to have the explosion to get the better of the blocker.  Seems a bit stiff.

Huge wingspan for pushing blockers, reaching for the tackle and batting passes.  Would have preferred a CB, but if our d-line can consistently get pressure, that will ease the burden in the defensive backfield.

With Epenesa in his 2nd year and hopefully Obada blossoms giving Rousseau time for on-the-job-training.
