People always act like 7-9 is a horrible record. Ok, I get it, it's not like the best record ever, but just imagine if we were the lions or the Browns. 7-9 is only several wins away from the playoffs, so that means he's real close. If not this year, then next. Every year the chance of seeing the playoffs gets larger. So, in short, keep the dick if you want to go to the playoffs next year.

It's not fair for Football players to have hard, strenouous training camps. They have been working all their lives to get to this point, and then they need to have a tough training camp? Honestly, if I was the coach, I would make TC optional. Dick can't go that far, but I like his phillosophy. He's saving the players so that they can be healthy for the regular season.

Lifetime loser? What about 13-3? He is actually a Lifetime winner, who has been very unlucky with injuries and happenstance the last few years.

Yes these are all good reasons. I would add that he already knows the Buffalo system, so there would be no learning curve.

Now, I've done some pretty heavy thinking and drinking on the issue over the last few nights, and I've come to the conclusion that we need Dick Jauron to stay. Why? One word: We need continuity. Remember the 1st game of the year? We (for all intensive purposes) beat the NE. Then the season went downhill because the air got taken out of us. It's not Dicks fault that McKelvin sucks. If we had won that game we would probably be leading our division, and headed to the playoffs. If we get a new head coach we will have to start all over again. And also, the players play hard for him. Some coaches don't even have that. So in short, KEEP THE DICK!!!!

Mularky and Williams are natural born coordinatrs. I think the reason the Mangini was able to become a Head Coach so quickly is that he has a "Head Coach" mentallity. I also see that in people like Brian Billick, and Cito Gaston. For some reason, I think that Manini would bring the stabillity to our franchise that we need.

I would like to see him as either Head coach or nothing. I've never really liked the idea of a former head coach being de-moted to a coordinator. Must breed some respect issues.

Coaches that I would take OVER man-gina: Cowher, Schott, Holmgren, Wade Phillips, Brian Billick, Gruden But I just know that Ralph won't pay the money for those people. I think if Mangini was fired, he would be the best coach that was within Ralph's pitiful salary requirments.

It hurts to say this, but I think I would. I really despise him, but he is a young man-genious that could grow into a job

This is sort of a historical post. I'm not sure if the long term stabillity of the board has been discussed yet. Although we have an aging team, the board still seems to have hard core followers who are in apparent denial of the cruel fate that will happen very soon. In a few years this post will be referenced as the first thread to predict the demise of this message board. May god have mercy on your souls.

If the Bills left town(god forbid) would this board still operate? Perhaps this board could turn into a general NFL board for people with Buffalo connections. But we won't ever move of course(just keep telling yourself that jonathan#34thomas).

I feel that he has regressed so dramatically, that he is a lost cause. His innabillity to play in cold weather is another obvious reason why we are wasting our time with him here in Buffalo. I really feel that we need to start over at QB, but this time get someone with more cold weather experience(ie not a kitty like Trent)

First: fire EVERYONE. Coaches, GM, Scouts, Janitors. Second: Trade Trent for whatever I could get for him. Even a 7th rounder would do. He's done and is even more useless than Losman at his worst. Start Fitzpatrick for rest of season. If he sucks as bad a Trent, then throw Hamden in there. Simply wait out the rest of this pitiful season for the draft next year. Who cares if we go 1-15. At this point it's better than 7-9 because of Draft position. Third: Acquire a vetran Tackle. Send Jonathan Scott to bagging groceries at Wegmans. Fouth: Do everything in my power to trade up and get the best QB in the draft next year. No one from CA!!! Fifth: Get Chucky! Give him complete control of whatever he wants. Sixth: Put anyone on the face of the earth other than Ellison at LB. Seventh: rest.
