  1. I think Evans could be on that level, especially playing with one of those guys on the other side. You think Wayne would be a star without Harrison around??
  2. Have you watched Notre Dame play this year? They don't have a load of talent on either side of the ball yet they seem to be doing rather well because they have a qb who knows what he's doing - sacked 26 times, but has 29 TDs and four picks on the year. You can argue that Quinn is doing well because of a system, but Charlie Weiss' system revolves around the quarterback as the key piece to the puzzle. Quinn has size, a good arm, he's accurate, he knows how to make good decisions and he's a winner. You think ND has only one loss this season if he wasn't the QB? Brohm, haven't seen enough of him, but Louisville did well without him in the lineup this year and he looked a little rattled the second half against Rutgers.
  3. Actually both. .... Again, I hate to defend Flutie here, but he did a good job behind a rotten o-line. As for the rest of the guys since Kelly, they're all subpar QBs playing behind subpar linemen. You put Manning behind the Bills line, I think they'd at least be .500 this season.
  4. Apparently the mock drafters haven't seen the Bills schedule the next 7 weeks .... I'm really hoping they pick in the top 5
  5. What's wrong with the column? Well, you must be happy with crappy QB play in Buffalo then for the past decade. Quinn is the real deal, not some smuck like Cade McNown, David Klinger or Akili Smith who went high in the draft because he had one good season in college playing in a certain system. The first thing the Bills offense needs is a QB. ... The Bills got Kelly and built around him. The Bengals got Palmer and are now building around him. The Cowboys got Aikman and built around him. The Colts got Manning and built around him. Yada Yada Yada. ... You don't pass up a franchise quarterback my friend -- EVER! I've had enough of the crap here like JP, Rob, Drew, Todd, AVP (who is a nice guy and probably a great guy to drink beer with, but not an NFL QB), Billy Joe, Holcomb, Nall, Travis Brown, Mike Cawley, Pete Gonzalez ...... About the only guy who could play since Kelly was the midget Flutie (and I'm not a fan of him but he had game). A Franchise QB is the Bills top priority!!!!
  6. I unfortunately live in Jets country down here and have seen most of their games this season. ... Two things the Jets have going for them are: 1. A smart head coach. Mangini might have man boobs, but he knows how to run a football team. The Jets play hard, don't make stupid penalties and can adjust to the opposition during a game. 2. The have a veteran QB who might not have the best arm, but he makes good decisions and usually takes care of the football.
  7. If this has been posted already I apologize, but I have to wonder how this moron is allowed to keep his job at the News. ... If the name Brady Quinn is on the draft board and the Bills pass him by I might seriously disown the team after 30 years of blood, sweat and tears By BOB DICESARE Fast food for thought . . . There's a chance Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn will be available when the Buffalo Bills are on the clock in this year's NFL draft. Same goes for Ohio State's Troy Smith, and Louisville's Brian Brohm. Here's five words of advice for the Bills: Don't even think about it. I don't see J.P. Losman becoming the quarterback former General Manager Tom Donahoe envisioned when he paid a premium to execute the reach in the 2004 draft. Losman's lack of pocket presence is disturbing. His field vision remains inadequate. The extent to which the coaches steered away from the pass in Sunday's loss at Indianapolis amounted to a vote of no confidence, an acknowledgment that his decision-making is lacking when under duress. Nonetheless, the Bills have to develop an offensive line before they consider going the quarterback route again early in the draft. Shore up the team's biggest weakness and maybe Losman graduates to another level of competency. Fortify the pass protection and perhaps he starts to click. But even if Losman remains stagnant, bolstering the line would position the Bills to plug a functional quarterback in his place. It's a functional Steve McNair who's going to get Baltimore into the playoffs this season. http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20061...?tbd1026222.asp
  8. Marv might be old, but even he's not senile like Al Davis .... I'd rather have Kelly or Ferguson try a comeback, Kemp for that matter, than see Aaron "F---in' Brooks on the Bills
  9. Rumor has it TD came up with the ad
  10. The Ralph is as safe as any other stadium. I'm sure people get beat up at Foxborough every week but tey don't make a federal case out of it. ... The Pats dude probably ran his mouth to the wrong people and got roughed up a bit. I've been going here for 28 years and feel perfect safe in the stadium each week, well besides when Raiders fan is in town
  11. After a half dozen hits off the crack pipe all those Hollywood guys look the same I guess
  12. Nah, I think Denny ate "IT" after the first offensive series ---- Green likes to eat during times of crisis to comfort himself
  13. How bout them Sabres, anyone??? I just get this feeling that JP is going to end up a lot like David Krieg, if his NFL career lasts as long. He can make some plays, but he really has trouble holding on to the football - I suspect small hands - and he's never going to be a great QB in this league.
  14. The bottom line is JP is sloppy with protecting the football!!! You can't win with a QB that can't protect the ball at any level
  15. Yeah, but can you afford to waste another half of a season on JP?? Let Craig get a shot for a few games to see if maybe he's the answer
  16. I think the Bills need to look at Nall during the bye week ..... Losman is regressing BIG TIME. He's killed three drives today with not taking care of the football --- two fumbles (one the Bills still managed a field goal out of) and now the pick
  17. Dude, you need to drink before the interview --- throw down a shot or two of JD to loosen yourself up before the meeting. .... and don't ramble on during the interview --- people don't want to hear your life story or especially your problems. Keep it short and sweet .... and ALWAYS LEAVE ONE A HIGH NOTE!
  18. I think that bad feeling you have is just gas. Don't worry, it will pass -- just ease up on the Mighty Taco for a bit.
  19. I was in section 106 at the game and the Bears fans were rather decent over there. The only jerk I saw was the one Bear fan who tried to beat up a whole row of people .... and the kicker, he was brawling with fellow Bears fans.
