1. • OG Roberto Garza (Atlanta) -- 4 -- Moved into the starting lineup because of injury in 2004 and became integral part of a unit that helped the Falcons lead the NFL in rushing. A little stiff, but can be a powerful in-line force in stretches.

    • OT Oliver Ross (Pittsburgh) -- 7 -- Has played a lot of positions but settled in at right tackle the past two seasons and, while not a pure road-grader, played well. A decent pass blocker and could also move inside and play guard.

Grab either one of these guys, then go after another O-lineman with our 2nd round pick.  No need to spend big money this year, we have to make sure we have money for Clements, then in 2 years alot of our guys are FA's.  It's going to take Losman a year or 2 anyway so no need to break the bank this year.

Sorry, I dont agree. o-line is the single greatest position that can make or break Losman in the next year. We have NO starting LT which is the most important of all of those positions, and you want to go the cheap route? To me thats a sure fire way to rattle Losman which will make him make mistakes and cost us games. I think we can get into the playoffs next year with very good upgrades, your route sets us way back and most likely into the losing column next year., IMO.

  2. TD clearly spent all day masturbating and playing video games according to half of the people here...

  3. Starks to NE

    259695

UGGG, I guess you cant keep the best from trying to get better.

Peter Brady needs a big fat FU for not asking for what he deserves as far as pay which will choke hold the Patsy's from doing this kind of crap.

Peter has NO confidence, its the only thing that could explain not requesting to be paid like a top 5 QB. He must know that Peter Brady without the Pats equals Jeff Garcia.

Ohh well, we still will make our moves. They best be good, our road to the SB goes through NE not around them!

  4. Actually I think Darren Howard's the premier DE. Sounds like John Abraham's going to traded unless he pulls a Charles Woodson as they signed Shaun Ellis to a big contract in the season.

    259661

I havent seen that about John. Woodson yes, but not John.

You can argue Howard being the best, you very well could be right.

  5. Vikings | Williams Agrees to Three-Year Deal - from www.KFFL.com

    Wed, 2 Mar 2005 17:42:03 -0800

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Minnesota Vikings have signed free agent DT Pat Williams (Bills) to a three-year, $13 million contract including $6 million in bonus money. The deal also includes incentives that could eventually reach $15 million.

sorry to interrupt........continue the TD worshipping.........

    259644

I will continue to worship, thanks. That much money for that guy was a waste.

Why am I picturing TD saying to you, "When you can take the cash from my hand, then you will be ready."

  6. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/stor..._len&id=2002543

Here are a dozen unrestricted free agents who probably won't break the bank with new contracts, but who are serviceable middle-level players who figure to draw interest:

    • FS/SS Idrees Bashir (Indianapolis) -- 4 years experience -- Never quite lived up to expectations with the Colts but, despite a string of injuries, averaged 13 starts per season. Has some range but lacks instincts, still worth looking at in nickel role.

    • RB Derrick Blaylock (Kansas City) -- 4 -- Superb all-around special teams player who got a chance to start when Priest Holmes was injured in 2004, averaged 4.6 yards per carry and scored eight touchdowns. Could be a nifty No. 2 tailback.

    • RB Correll Buckhalter (Philadelphia) -- 4 -- Star-crossed runner, and part-time starter who has suffered two major knee injuries in four seasons. Given his injury history, he might be a medical risk, but his pure running skills make him worth a gamble.

    • DT Leonardo Carson (Dallas) -- 5 -- Never going to make a lot of plays, but a 305-pounder who will take up space inside and push people around enough to make impact. Bill Parcells would like to keep him around.

    • OG Roberto Garza (Atlanta) -- 4 -- Moved into the starting lineup because of injury in 2004 and became integral part of a unit that helped the Falcons lead the NFL in rushing. A little stiff, but can be a powerful in-line force in stretches.

    • WR Kevin Johnson (Baltimore) -- 6 -- Has bounced around a lot the last few years and voided his contract to become a free agent. Still has deceptive speed and some teams feel he has the best hands in the league.

    • FS Bhawoh Jue (Green Bay) -- 4 -- Has played every position in the secondary and, while he doesn't run well on the stopwatch, has pretty good competitive speed. Should help some team as a regular in nickel packages.

    • QB Mike McMahon (Detroit) -- 4 -- With all the veteran quarterbacks being released and then recycled, he sometimes gets lost in the shuffle. Athletic and competitive guy, and good enough to win some games in a pinch.

    • LB Ike Reese (Philadelphia) -- 7 -- Consummate role player with the Eagles, combination blitz-cover guy who excels in nickel packages but would like to be a starter. A terrific performer on special teams units.

    • OT Oliver Ross (Pittsburgh) -- 7 -- Has played a lot of positions but settled in at right tackle the past two seasons and, while not a pure road-grader, played well. A decent pass blocker and could also move inside and play guard.

    • KR Allen Rossum (Atlanta) -- 7 -- One of the top two-way (kickoffs and punts) return men in the game, earned a Pro Bowl spot for the 2004 season. Can also play the nickel or dime cornerback spot in a pinch.

    • LB Matt Stewart (Atlanta) -- 4 -- Only 25 years old and a three-year starter. Falcons feel they can upgrade, but might be hard pressed to do so, and Stewart could move on and be a starter with a new club. Decent two-way blitz-cover guy on third down.

Bargain should be looked at AFTER our bigtime upgrades at LT, LG, and TE are filled. Then fine, IMO.

  7. Now if it was

    Burress

    Law

    Bell

    Lucas

    Wahle

    Franks

    that would be something!

If the notion is that teams go crazy and overspend on day one, this doesnt seem to prove that out at all. Most of these guys are second tier minus Mason and Burress is the premiere WR, IMO.

Seems every team may have caught on to TD's methodology and avoided the big rush. TD ought to get back to signing guys on day one.

  8. Damn do you work?  Do you take bathroom breaks??  Or do ya just sit on metal trash can carved with 3" hole in the center to relieve yourself as needed?    <_<

    <_<

    Kidding.

    Ya, really I was.

    259551

Maybe kidding, but its uncalled for and really not that funny.

Stick to stand up, and leave the football talk for the football fans on a football board.

  9. You have made it clear in previous threads that you don't believe clumps numbers because they don't show as much free cap space as other sites do or you want them too.

It's a good thing that we are in the era of the kinder & gentler TBD because otherwise I'd be tempted to say....STFU! <_<

    259602

Well glad you didnt say it.... <_<

This is a touch like saying you can do your coworkers tax return. Good luck with that.

  10. Most of us have followed Clumps salary cap pages and info for the last 3 or so years. The guy is always on top of things and always within the ballpark

You choose to doubt, but the fact is they call him the cap guru for a reason.

I swear by Clumps info as do most others

    259538

Good, so you apparently want to follow cap numbers that are traditionally under where we really are, and FA prices that are often over what they actually get signed for.

No problem, unless you try to claim that we cant get ____ because of cap cash. Then your incorrect numbesr go out the window with your arguement backed by NO data.

You like em, fine. Ill trust in TD, he never ceases to suprise and Clump aint the GM of the Bills!

  11. Plus they resigned Verba.  Looks like the Browns may do some running this year with 2 solid guards.

BTW Andruzzi was only 4 years 9 million.

Damn we could have afforded that.

    259546

That contract suprises you? havent many people here been saying that 2-3 mill per is all you need to lock up a top notch G? I know I have.

  12. Since it appears we wont resign either of our main FA'sthen what the hell was the point of restructing Moulds and being 8 million under the cap? You cant tell me we are gonna give Clements an extension since TD wil low ball him and lose him as well.

My point is i dont understand why we even bothered to get 8 milllion under teh cap and then sit and watch other teams get better...

    259365

Point of releasing Bledsoe- He didnt want to be a backup to anyone, ever (his words). We picked Losman as our starter, you do the math.

Point of restructuring Moulds- He isnt remotely worth 8.5 mill next year at his age and with Evans on this squad. This move added cap cash.

Point is, we may LIKE to think these moves were meant to get cash to add a huge stud. They may not be that at all. They may be moves that made big business sense and thats it. We could end up signing cheap guys and have all this cash to start the season. Do I think we should do that, HELL NO!!!!! Especially when our most important o-line position is empty and we are starting a young QB. It could happen. Do I think we go that route, not in a million years. I think TD will spend cahs on upgrades. He isnt stupid, and you dont call out your O and then downgrade at each position. Thats shooting yourself in the foot.

  13. Maybe we are looking at his partner Rivera?

    259388

    Im sticking to my guns.

Wahle is the BEST G for the Bills bar none!!!!!

He is a proven stud at LG not R, no side switch needed (cant be said for other G's).

He is reported as a candidate for the T spot, hes 26 or 7 (cant remember).

This move gives us versatility G vs. T, and at G instantly adds a HUGE upgrade to Losmans blindside.

I have faith in TD, get er done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
