1. I just love reports like this morning's Buffalo News' on Milloy's offseason. I read stuff like this and I can't wait for the season to start!!!

    Milloy on Losman:

..."I just tell him, "Hey, realize you inherited a very good team. You don't have to go out there and beat everybody by yourself.' "

Can the Bills win this year with Losman?

"Yes," Milloy said. "We have no choice. That's the thing. It's not just him. Everybody wants to focus on him, and quarterback's a big position. But the faster he can learn how to just not make mistakes, the better off our team will be. We're not going to let him fail.

"We want to win a championship."

Man, "We're not going to let him fail"... Gives me goosebumps! Bring it on!!!!

  3. Is if JP Losman can throw a good wide receiver screen. That was another one of the major downfalls of Drew, he just sucked at that. He couldn't get it out and throw it quick enough and he couldn't get it accurate enough so the extra 1/3 of a second allowed the WR a chance to shake the oncoming DB and take off. God that was frustrating, and takes a lot of opportunities out of your playmakers making plays. I could easily imagine a bunch of those going to Parrish and Evans in the new MM and TC offense.

Heck, if he can throw ANY type of screen pass or something out into the flat and not have the ball rocket into the turf at 90 mph, I'll be thrilled!

  4. That's his 5th draft in a row he attends! lol

Should be getting a call from him any minute now!

 He must be tryin' to overtake "Pinto" Ken Johnson's record. When he calls, tell him Tony from Minney sez "Hi".

I said it once...I'll say it 1,000 times...being a sports columnist is the GREATEST job in the world.  Is there another line of work where you can make up and say any crap you want, be wrong more othen than right, and get paid for it?

Here is Jerry Sullivan playing the role of "Chicken Little" for Bills fans.  Can you imagine this guy in a poker game?  What exactly is he saying in this article?  That TD should cave and take a bag of jock straps for TH?  TD is doing what he should be doing.  And if it means winding up with TH for 2005, so be it.

Trust me...TH WILL NOT SIT OUT 2005!!!  It's the last year of his contract.  He'll be a free agent in 2006. He is going to play his ASS OFF!!!  And TD knows that!!  That's why he is playing hardball.  TH can vent all he wants, but he has few options.

But that won't stop Jerry f***in' Sullivan playing backseat GM, always looking for the cloud in the silver lining.

I couldn't agree more. I just finished reading that POS and thought, where the heck did this come from? "TD created this problem himself" What problem????

You are 100% correct: TH plays his butt off if he's still a Bill next season 'cause that's the only way he'll get a big FA deal.

This column really has my blood boiling and is typical of the tripe that this guy has been putting out for years. Someone on the Wall said last year that Sullivan always has an agenda when it comes to TD. He obviously doesn't realize that when he writes such blatant crap, it makes him look extremely petty.

  6. A couple years ago, the same topic came up for discussion on the board and there were some pretty spirited discussions. I've always used (and will continue to use) a real estate agent when buying or selling a home. But in the past two years, the Internet has really changed the way that buyers approach real estate. A realtor told me just yesterday that over 75% of buyers do at least some research on the Web.

Taking this into consideration, the answer is a little less apparent than in the past, IMHO. For us, the key is bringing qualified buyers into our home. You can tie-up your home with an offer from an unqualified buyer pretty easily. If you’re selling a moderately priced property, then finding a qualified buyer may not be difficult. However, if you are priced at or above the mean selling price for your area, a Realtor will help make sure that the buyers that see your home can afford it and not waste your time.

It’s true that FSBO can save you money but one offer that falls through can take you off the market for weeks if not longer and that can be extremely costly. Commissions are negotiable and again, depending on the selling price, can go down to 5% here in Minnesota.

There’s always the question of security (like, who area you letting in through your front door) and as mentioned by other posters, knowing exactly how much your home is worth.

When taking all of the above into consideration, we have always chosen to go with the professional and negotiate the commissions. That would be my advice.

    Good luck!!!

  7. In the interim before seeing a doc, I recommend Gaviscon, and make sure your torso is slightly elevated while you sleep.

Yep, Gaviscon is great short term relief. It actually creates a foam barrier in your stomach to stop the acid from passing into your esophagus. But as SIC stated, it is only for temporary relief until you can see the doc and get a prescription.

  8. We've been using it for years. It's great stuff and you can even use it in baking unlike other substitutes which breakdown at higher temps, losing their sweetness.

It's actually derived from sugar somehow as I understand it. And at this point, because of it's relation to sugar, there are no known health concerns at all.

  9. As far as we can tell, it's all resolved; the builder came out and found out where the water was coming in from (above the 1st floor window; trickled in during bad storms and flowed all the way into the basement!  Argh...).  Anyway, that's all cleaned up.  I finished the electrical a couple of weeks ago, so now I need to do insulation (bringing a friend over for that one  ).  Hiring out the drywall, so that should go quick.  I'm really hoping I finish in the next few months.  This project has been two years in the making, damn builder... :D

Glad it's resolved. Water problems are the worst. Now, get to work on that HD theater man :) ! Nothing like Bills footbal on a massive screeen in hi-def!!!

  10. With what happened to his buddy Tedy Bruschi this week, if Drew re-evaluates his options, changed his mind and wanted to come back here as a back up, would the Bills have him back.

    246475

Hypothetically speaking only, I'd take him back. I think that he'd be a great back-up at a reduced salary. But I truly believe that he believes that he's still got game and will convince some team somewhere that he does.

  11. Especially today...

We're going to try really hard to make at least one gathering this season -- I havn't seen you guys since the Wild/Sabers game! :)

I know, way too long. And it looks like no Sabres game for a long time to come so who knows when the group will all get over toward your side of the metro.

How's the basement issue...all resolved? New theater in yet?

  12. I just ordered a tune up kit from Mid America ( plugs, wires, Distrib, fuel filter , etc) Six more weeks and it comes out for the summer!!!

Those your Goldies?  I have one also......great dogs!

    246468

Yep, two Goldies and a black Lab. One Goldie and the Lab are 12 and other Goldie has lived to 5 so far, . She's the one that makes you say: "last dog, ever!". Actaully, she's a great dog just too darn smart and has a mind of her own, that's all.
