1. Thanks for the recommendation. (And yes, I know that White Zinfandel is a bastardization of real wine  )

I'm sure my Old Man and Brother-In-Law will be eager to try some.

Sorry. It's just that soooo many people don't know the difference. Like at the resaturant when I order a glass of Zin and the 20 year old waitress looks at me and sez: "now, you know that it's RED zin?"

    :):):rolleyes::rolleyes:

  2. You haven't lived until you've had a glass of this:

The best wine I've ever had the pelasure to drink...Dollar for Dollar.

Outstanding vino! Reasonably priced and always consistant!

Next time you're at a liquor store, try a bottle of Zinfandel (NOT white, just Zin) that comes from the Dry Creek Valley region of California. Most of the winemakers up there do a nice job with that grape and if you like the Ducale, you may find some nice "value" wines.

  3. To me....NOTHING tastes as good as a ribeye steak and a big goblet of cold white zinfendale.....or 3

Please, please, please: Try a nice cabernet next time you have that ribeye. Cool, not cold. Please. You should be able to get a nice one in Temecula. Try Baily or one of the other locals down there.

Don't take offense but (IMHO) calling white zin wine is like calling Odoul's a stout lager :D

I know it's personal taste but...

  4. Need to start 3 of these 4: (50% ydg & 50% TD's)

LT, Willis, Julius Jones or Willie Parker. Normally, this would be a no-brainer and I'd start the 1st three but Parker, the kid who looked great against the Bills last year, had a strong preseason and had a great week one and is still the stater for the Steelers.

This time, I don't think that I'm over thinking this... :D:devil:

I'm thinking that WP & LT are for sure starters this week and my choice is between Willis and JJ.

    Thanks!!!

  5. ok well this is pretty simple

6 points for TD from rush or reception, 1 point for 20 yards

who would you start at WR?

Plexico Burress who is facing arizona or laverneous coles who is facing KC

both are playing vs semi good defences... in this situation who would you start

    another question

as RB's i have travis henry, tomlinson, carnell williams and kevin jones

now im definately starting tomlinson and jones but do i choose henry who will likely get some touches this weekend or go with williams who i have no idea if he is starting or not

thanks, any help will be appreciated :D

    Coles & Williams, IMHO.

    Good luck!

  6. LT is THE man so I think that you got the better of that trade for sure. Bettis will be back in a couple of weeks so you'll have a great group of backs to choose from.

Is Willie Parker available for a FA pick-up? if so, I think that he'd be a great acquisition until The Bus returns.

    Good luck!

  7. I think you have a very good team for picking 11th. I like your starters this week as well and imagine that will be a pretty consistent line-up for you throughout the season.

    Good luck!

  8. I work with the retailing industry and have for my entire career. The IKEA phenomenon has been going on for years. Whenever they open a new store, the area experiences tremendous traffic issues during their first few days. There’s always a lot of fanfare when they open.

What you’re seeing, in addition to the desire to get a good deal, is the “shopping as entertainment” trend that Americans have always been drawn to. People think it’s fun to shop at and IKEA and go just to walk around and see stuff.

That’s not necessarily who I am but it is true of a surprisingly vast number of folks.

  9. MSNBC was just reporting varying degrees of injures, but NO fatalities.

    396593

Yep. Global/MSNBC reporting 291 on board many injuries but no reported fatalities. Also that most of air operations were shut down due to weather and that the lightning detection equipment at Pearson was not operating properly. The airport is now closed with flights being diverted to Ottawa and Buffalo.

Belief is that the flight was possibly at the proverbial “point of no return” on approach and may have encountered a down draft or possibly lightning.

  10. I just love reports like this morning's Buffalo News' on Milloy's offseason. I read stuff like this and I can't wait for the season to start!!!

    Milloy on Losman:

..."I just tell him, "Hey, realize you inherited a very good team. You don't have to go out there and beat everybody by yourself.' "

Can the Bills win this year with Losman?

"Yes," Milloy said. "We have no choice. That's the thing. It's not just him. Everybody wants to focus on him, and quarterback's a big position. But the faster he can learn how to just not make mistakes, the better off our team will be. We're not going to let him fail.

"We want to win a championship."

Man, "We're not going to let him fail"... Gives me goosebumps! Bring it on!!!!

  12. Is if JP Losman can throw a good wide receiver screen. That was another one of the major downfalls of Drew, he just sucked at that. He couldn't get it out and throw it quick enough and he couldn't get it accurate enough so the extra 1/3 of a second allowed the WR a chance to shake the oncoming DB and take off. God that was frustrating, and takes a lot of opportunities out of your playmakers making plays. I could easily imagine a bunch of those going to Parrish and Evans in the new MM and TC offense.

    318458

Heck, if he can throw ANY type of screen pass or something out into the flat and not have the ball rocket into the turf at 90 mph, I'll be thrilled!

  13. That's his 5th draft in a row he attends! lol

Should be getting a call from him any minute now!

    314780

 He must be tryin' to overtake "Pinto" Ken Johnson's record. When he calls, tell him Tony from Minney sez "Hi".
