Where are they lacking toughness?
Their Brains
-
Sammy? Kinda starting to feel that way. McCoy? No way, you're crazy. Let that thing heal all the way.
The Hammy will never heal "all the way" during the season.
It'll be healed in April/May.
We really need to make it through this quarter of the season at worst 3-1. The second half of the season has atleast 3 games that are high likelihood of a loss. @NE, @Jets and @KC and they are all in a row!!!
Taking those three possible losses into account @Ten, vs Cinci, @Jac(London), and vs Dolphins are 4 games that are must/should be wins if the Bills will make the Playoffs.
Now is the time to take risks and stack these 4 wins, imo.
Let them rest for the murder's row of @Pats, @KC, and @Jets.
There is no Next year. We need to get to at least 11 wins this season. 6-2 would be a great first half, then if they drop all 3 of that road trip they still have a winning a record and are in shape to possible win out.

A 12-4 team has never failed to reach the playoffs. About as guaranteed as you can get.
11-5 has seen two teams miss.
10-6 is indeed dicey, though.
I'm with Bandit, you aren't doing the players or your team any good by rushing them back before they're ready. I'm sure all our injured players would rather be out their, too. That's why you have medical staffs and trainers; to save them from themselves.
GO BILLS!!!
Correct. I meant to say "More than"

If it's that close, then they may as well hold him out.
Regardless of what happens through this Sunday's game, the season is a marathon, not a sprint, and they need their best players healthy.
Actually the season is a Sprint not a Marathon; this isn't baseball, hockey or basketball where you have a handfull of games that don't matter.
More than 4 Loses and you are no longer guaranteed a playoff shot in the NFL. More than 6 loses and you no longer control your own fate for a playoff spot.
There is no sense in waiting in the NFL you need your players to go at any percentage for all of the quick 16 games.
The Bills are already a 3rd of the way to being out of the playoffs since 10-6 doesn't guarantee a spot.
Shady and Sammy need to get their arses out there, especially for a road AFC game. Stacking AFC road games wins goes along way in earning a playoff spot especially since the team is 1-2 at home.

Getting rid of helmets will actually be the biggest help.
People aren't going to slam their head into someone else if it wasn't encased in crash test proof equipment.
The Helmet itself is the biggest CAUSE of concussions.

The problem is if they pick up EJ's 5th year option he will be making more money than Orton did, I believe anyways.
Actually, he would be making a hell of a lot more than Orton. 12.25 million.
http://www.hashtagsports.net/articles/cutting-ej-manuel-can-the-bills-afford-to-keep-him
Are they locked into that option for a 5th year?
Can they extend at true market value?

@TyDunne: CB Ronald Darby is named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month. Not sure if anyone could've predicted that back in August.
@BuffaloBillsPR: #Bills CB Ronald Darby earns September D Rookie of the Month after leading the NFL in passes defensed (8) & tying for the lead in INTs (2).
I no longer will question Whaley and team on draft picks.
Pick I did not love at the time:
Preston Brown
Ronald Darby
Karlos Williams
Picks I love now:
Preston Brown
Ronald Darby
Karlos Williams
Whaley is the master he does not deserve second guessing.
-
To do this, though, you need all these to be in place:
1) already have a franchise QB who is on the back end of thier career
2) a rookie QB who has both the game and the temperament to sit and watch
3) an owner or ownership group who has money and patience
Baltimore did not have #1, for Flacco was still young and in prime
Green Bay had all three in place for Rodgers
By the way the Bills are doing this now with EJ Manuel.
So I don't believe #1 on your list is necessary.

Redskins fans have bailed. Prices start at $30 in the 200's. I can fly in and out nonstop from NH and take the train into FedEx Field. Tempting.
I'm going to Redskins too. (I live in the area)
I'm hoping on Free for tickets as I have a few friends with access to Seasons.
Yes it will be Bills home game. I expect at least 25,000 Bills fans in that stadium.
There are at least 3 Bills Backers bars in the area and they are all doing a Tailgate.
It is going to be Ralph Wilson Stadium South, actually that disrespects Ralph Wilson Stadium as FedEX field is a complete dung pile of a stadium. The worst of the 16 stadium I have visited by a mile. Words can not describe how embarrassing it is for the NFL to put that product out there.
Word of Caution even though FedEx Field is less than 20 years old DO NOT BUY "OBSTRUCTED VIEW" TICKETS.
That troll, Snyder, after he bought the team went in and carved out additional seats under the Upper Deck and behind polls that weren't there when the stadium was built.
Do not, I repeat Do not be tempted to sit in "OBSTRUCTED VIEW" it really is an "OBSTRUCTED VIEW."
-
I may go if prices fall. If the Eagles are bad it will happen.
My Buddies wanted to buy tickets in August.
I said wait I think the Eagles will suck let's give it a month prices have come down.
I still they haven't bottomed out yet.
I'm going to wait until London to decide to buy it wait.

I was out Week1 Then would have taken the Lambs at the Deadskins because the Lambs always beat the Deadskins even when the Lambs are 2-14.
So I'm basically out if survivor twice.
Tough season.
Someone else Can start TBD II Survivor this week if you would like?Maybe we can let everyone else back in and ALSO let the three battle it out, separately. Even if the easiest way to do it is just have the three PM their weekly picks to someone, who then posts their picks in this thread after games start.
Not a bad thought. It's not hard to keep track of three players. We wouldn't need any special system.
I guess this week may be too late. Let me know if you want me to start a new one for TBD next week.
We will see what happens to the 3 this week.

When 70,000 people try to use wifi at the same time, for the first time, there will be issues.
Don't bank on it.
And try to bring a battery backup with you because if your wifi radio drops and reconnects it burns through your battery when it tries to boost signal and constantly reconnect.

Billy Winn called in to
try and save the Colt's Sunday.
Sorry, but the Billies Win!

As soon he gets released Have Whaley get his agent on the horn.http://thebiglead.com/2015/09/11/steelers-coach-kicked-patriots-fan-nfl-investigating/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitterAsif there wasnt enough controversy surrounding the 1st game of the NFL season, this news just broke: James Daniel, the tight ends coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, is being investigated for allegedly assaulting a Patriots fan on the way to the locker room before halftime.
He sounds like Buffalo Bills material right there.
-
Good Luck Powell.
-
Counter run play, Left Side run by McCoy for 22 yards.
13 First Downs.
-
Just listening to WGR and they were talking about the chance for Buffalo to be in discussion for best defense ever. So.....
1985 Bears
2000 Ravens
2015 Bills
15 yr intervals and all would be tied to Rex (dad,DC,HC)
....I think not!!
All those teams won the Super Bowl.
So if the Bills win the 2015-16 Super Bowl I think it would be safe to put them in that discussion.
But if Ifs and Buts were candy and nuts we would all have a Merry Christmas.
-
And Tyrod, Shady, Felton, Clay and Harvin all recent adds.
Thats why Indy is scared right now. We have lots of film on Luck, fleener, hilton and their defense.
They have zero film on Rex running this D, or this new qb and system we have.
Take the over at 46.5 people.... my only free betting tip of the year.
I got that over in a 3 over parlay, and a straight but.
shhhhh! I may place another before it moves.

The Redskins look pretty sorry.
The Titans don't have much either.

I'm back to defend my Survivor crown.

@Grantland33: NFL 2015 Season Predictions, Part 1: The Cellar Dwellers, by @billbarnwell http://t.co/lzINEWRCNn
Their pod cast is just as clueless. They got bolstered by the Grantland name.
They have zero qualifications for the opinion other than being Grantland employees.

Do the Colts have a blue Jersey anymore?
That is going to be a whole lot of white on white.
Thoughts on the idea of McKelvin to Safety?
in The Stadium Wall Archives
Posted
This makes way more sense.
McKelvin struggles at finding the ball in the air. He never looks up at the Ball. This is not a good trait for a safety.
McKelvin isn't a fierce tackler. He isn't that big or strong. He is closer to looking like Chris Rock than a LB. I don't think he would be effective to clean up completions and tackler the receiver.
So basically I doubt this happens because it doesn't seem like a good fit at all.
Robey is a better fit at safety if needed and McKelvin can get in the field at Nickle back.
