1. That was incredible...not just because of the inherent hilarity of the post, but because it so immediately and irrevocably set the tone of the thread.  Usually, such things evolve over several posts...

Unless I arrive. Things get started quickly then.

  2. Shutup with that.  BF's world is kinda like Willy Wonka's.  Only the Oompa Loompas are actually painted sheep, there's no candy to be found, and Augustus Gloop is worshipped as the Supreme Being.

Actually that doesn't hold water. The ratings in Detroit were certain to be higher than in Miami where sports aren't exactly "the thing to do".

See I notice that instead of providing facts to debate my theory, you try to deny it being possible. Check the NBA Finals ratings the last decade. The years that teams like Indiana and NJ got in the ratings suck. You get two teams like Philly and LA and they are the best in a decade. I can provide these numbers ifyou would like, but I'm certain you don't want to view them because they prove my theory to be possible.

  3. No, but we've also had the pleasure of hearing you elucidate on other matters as well. I'm sorry, but Robert Frost you ain't.

Like I said, I would put my IQ up against most on this board.

I don't look like much, but if I really wanted to debate and converse I would do so.

  4. Let me put it to you in small words and sentences:

We don't buy it. We have seen you.

What does the way I look have to do with what I do?

I mean generally if someone wears heavy metal shirts, they listen to heavy metal, and so on, but would that make them an idiot?

  5. Do you have a list of excuses ready in case that doesnt happen? I could care less what happens, but you actually make me root for the pistons.

NG and I have discussed what will happen if Detroit wins tomorrow night.

  6. mwa...

    MWAAA....

    MWAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAAAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

    Hoooooooboy....that was a good one...

    Look out, ee cummings!

Well unlike yourself I didn't spend my time as a teen and young adult getting high. It's called doing something constructive.

  7. Bottom line is BF, what you do, by your own admission, is trolling...just because you're a Bills fan does that make it okay?  IMO it's indefensible. As stuckincincy put it..."As Ye Sow, so shall Ye Reap"...you are catching what you're fishing for...enjoy it.

If that's what you want to call it.

You are just pissed the PISStons are going down tomorrow night.

  8. [big Picture]

Which should make the next dumbass who decides to go into the stands think twice.  Hmmm, I wonder if that was the message the NBA was trying to get across?

That won't be the last time it happens. Mark my words. Someone else will go into the stands. Just like Kermit Washingtons suspension was susposed to end the on court fighting huh? Here we are 25 years later and fights still break out at NBA games.

  9. Why you try to tell me all the time that the NBA wouldn't "rig games"?

    Explain to me the following

How is it possible for a player to catch the ball, double clutch it on the way up, and shoot a jumper in .7 seconds?

How is it possible for someone to make a turnaround jumper on a catch and shoot in .4 seconds?

And how is it possible for a player to be fouled on the floor, take two dribbles, shoot the ball and get a chance for a four point play?

The first instance was Michael Jordan against the Pacers in the '98 Conference Finals (he missed the shot by the way)

The second is The Lakers-Spurs game from last year when Fischer performed a catch and shoot in .4 of a second.

The third is Larry Johnson in the '99 Conference Finals against the Pacers.

One thing in common for ALL those teams. BIG MARKETS.

    BIG MARKETS=BETTER TV RATINGS

    BETTER TV RATINGS=MORE MONEY

Yeah the NBA would rig games, and it's easy to do, the easiest of any sport.

  10. Yeah. That justified his thug actions. I recall a baseball player recently having a fan take a swing at him...and did he jump into the stadium and beat the fan? No. He walked away. But Artest is a Pacer, so it only serves that you'd defend him.

I didn't say he shouldn't be suspended for what he did. Just not for as long as he got. That suspension changed an entire season of NBA basketball.

  11. I think you are wrong BF. As I recall, Montana led a late comeback. Are you sure?

He hit Turner for the winning TD, no?

    364395

Nope. The 49er's were up 20-0 at halftime and the Bengals scored a late TD (with 14 seconds left I believe) to cut it to 5. They didn't get the onside kick and it was over.

The 49er's did have a goal line stand up 20-7 in the third quarter that could have made a difference though. Bengals came away with nothing.

  12. I stand corrected, but still a close game. The Bengals had their chances and were not outclassed.

If the Niners are excused for allowing Cincinnati to make a comeback, I don't think NE should be penalized for the same thing. IIRC, it's the Bengals that were trying to come back to win 28-26 but couldn't score.

    364330

The Bengals scored with I believe 14 seconds left to make it 26-21. They never held the ball with a chance to win.
