  1. Wots to try toolbox Tommie. Harvey Keitel called you on it here and you never responded to him either. But stay in denial if it makes you feel less of a twat.

Day after day alone on the hill,

The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still,

But nobody wants to know him,

They can see that he's just a fool,

And he never gives an answer,

But the fool on the hill

    Sees the sun going down,

And the eyes in his head,

    See the world spinning around.

Well on his way his head in a cloud,

The man of a thousand voices talking percetly loud

    But nobody ever hears him,

Or the sound he appears to make,

And he never seems to notice,

But the fool on the hill . . .

    Nobody seems to like him

They can tell what he wants to do.

And he never shows his feelings,

But the fool on the hill . . .

  2. No. You didn't. Obama did. Even though you were more deserving according to most. Get over it.

    There's always next year.

There's an idea. Let's have a poll: Who on PPP is most deserving of a Peace Prize! Crayonz? Maybe. At times is somewhat disarming. What poster on PPP is most deserving of the TBD Peace Award. Who speaks softly but carries a big stick. That might be Tom. Or who just wants to know why "We can't just all get along." We could call it the Rodney King Award. That might be Exiled. But then, it would depend on what an individual's definition of peace is. Blessed Are the Peacemakers. Who's with me?

  3. 7 wins? hahaha...maybe by the end of 2010

No seriously. That's how they manage to keep us insanely hopeful. Watch, 7 AND 9, just like the last three years in a row, just like the average W-L over the last ten years. I'll still be a Bills fan to the end though. Crazy I know.

  4. Yeah, the buzz of flies flying around both Cleveland and Buffalo. Does it really matter who wins, bot teams are pretty much dead meat

Yeah but the Browns want to be dead meat. Look for them to tank and get high draft picks next year, to go with some help from the Jets. The Bills still believe they can win. Not sure what's the better situation. 7-9, AGAIN.

  5. What is a badkground check? Like a background check?

Practically no difference. I am very tired. Don't !@#$ with me. I can think of a number of uses, but right I'm looking for a friend who has just disappeared off the face of the planet. I'm worried he might be in jail somewhere. He came into some money after being broke for a long time and I suspect he may have gone a little crazy and gotten in trouble. I'm also curious about some relatives.

  6. This situation has absolutely nothing to do with government run health care but most of the comments so far are just bashing government run health care. <_<

If anyone bothered to read the article, it is about veterans who claimed they were sickened while serving or living near a military base. Because a causal link has not been found between living there and there illness, the VA has refused to cover these illnesses as "service related"

Do you think that if they were covered under private medical insurance at the time they lived on the base, that the private insurance company would agree to cover them years later when they got sick and claim that it started years ago when they were covered??

Maybe you should try to vilify these vets for being uninsured. That seems like a better right-wing argument.

The VA manages the largest U.S. health care system, with more than 1,400 medical facilities. If it cannot handle the challenge of caring for 8 million veterans, how will a government bureaucracy manage a system dealing with 300 million Americans? The same way. By rationing and denying.

  7. How many times did Bush veto a bill that would expand federal funding of stem cell research despite the overwhelming will of the people with regard to this issue? Are you attempting to hold Bush up as a symbol of scientific progress? He was on a mission from god, and nobody was going to tell him otherwise.

And what exactly happened to those embryos that weren't used for research? Oh, that's right, they were destroyed. :censored:

Twice. Neither were overturned by a Democratic Congress. So much for overwhelming.

  8. So you're basically giving him a pass, saying that the end justifies the means.

If only Bush were so gracious with regard to stance against science, particularly stem cell research. :censored:

Federal funding for medical research involving the creation or destruction of human embryos had been forbidden by law since the passage in 1995 of the Dickey Amendment by Congress and the signature of President Bill Clinton. On August 9, 2001, Bush signed an executive order lifting the ban on federal funding for the 71 existing "lines" of stem cells. But because of his stance against embryonic stem cell research, you libs have managed to turn the facts completely around. Beautiful.

  9. Carter is PO'd because Obama is taking the title of the worst president in modern times.

Go back to hitting nails you senile old coot.

Don't forget Jimmy is still mad at Bill Clinton for claiming to be the first black president, instead of him, or Barrack. I guess when you turn senile, anything goes. One good thing about Carter: he so punished the Russians by telling American Olympians everything they had trained for their whole lives was for naught. That will learn them Russians for invading AGHANISTAN. Oh, and we don't need that Panama Canal. Thank God that was only four years. Carter....Arghhhhh

  10. I just saw Dee Dee Meyers on Morning Joe and I think she had at least partly correct. The level of vitriol against Obama has a racial component and having the other issues people disagree with him about allows the racial nut heads to come above ground, but that isn't the only motivation. Though to deny it is a component is naive.

All though Scarborough said that Clinton had it worse and Bush in someways had it as bad as Obama from the left. Unfortunately this is part of the current way in an instant message society that people express themselves... We do it here on this board. I do think the press makes too much of it as a bad thing, as long as it doesn't rise to the level of violence. Blowing off steam on a board and arguing is a lot safer and civilized then say some other forms of political debate that currently goes on in the Middle East.

Makes some sense. And if he was polish, somebody would be calling him a dumb pollack. People are like that. But to throw the race thing out there for reason as to why opponents don't like some of his agenda makes me want to puke. Besides, he's not black, he's bi-racial. Have you not seen the pictures of his mother on the Internet? She's really white. Everywhere.

  11. politics as usual.

no different than republicans saying that not following bush and cheney blindly after 9/11 is unamerican.

each side is always looking for that little extra edge to push things past the tipping point, and its disgusting both ways

Except for the minor detail that they never said that.
