  1. My only complaint about Nate Clements, was that he didn't always seem to play like he cared about winning. That has definitely not been the case lately though, and it was never more evident than today, especially on that 3rd Down pass deflection late in the 4th Quarter. He was pumped, he played great all day, and it made a huge difference for this team.

Is it a coincidence that he's showing up now in the 2nd half of the season, before his contract is up? Methinks he plays when he wants to, and we don't someone like that on this team, especially when they are the highest paid player. I guarantee that if he gets the big contract from us, he'll go right back into his shell and disappear for 3 years.

  2. No your right. We should just go into next season with 27+ mill in free cap space instead. Thats the way to go.

I think you know that our biggest problem doesn't lie in the secondary, even if clements is gone. The money will and needs to be spent elsewhere.

  3. Edit: he has shut down receivers this entire year. The only thing people can really complain about is his missing a few tackles earlier this year. His actual defending the pass has been stellar all year.

I won't disagree with that. Still not worth the money though, sorry.

  4. Booo!

Actually, we did have a bit of luck on our side for that one.  But the Jags got some luck also.  And Garrard was only responsible for 2 of those 4 INTs.  His receivers let him down on the other two and our guys were able to pick them off.  They also had 5 dropped passes that would have made a difference in the game.  But we also missed 2 field goals.  Looks like our pass defense is getting a little better?  But I hate the Jags.

How do you guys feel about Sunday against us?

It's anyone's game. It depends on which bills team decides to show up.

  5. I make a point to give losman at least 30 passing attempts along with establishing a balanced running attack. The texans have one of the worst passing defenses and are all around pretty bad. This season is pretty much in the tank, and if there's one thing we can accomplish this year, it's to try and get a final answer about losman.

  6. Would you sign with Buffalo if JP Losman is leading this team?

Honestly, I wouldn't sign with buffalo because they have sucked for years and look to be on the path to rebuilding AGAIN. If I were to play for the bills next year, I would have to be seriously overpaid.

  7. My answer to this question is short and sweet: absolutely. Why not let him loose? Let's see what he can do when he's not limited to dropping back 17 times a game. We made a big investment on this guy and our defense isn't good enough to solely win games for us.

We are not going to make the playoffs and half the team probably won't be here this year so there's no reason to try to "build" when we will most likely once again, rebuild. Give him 30 attempts with an attempt at balancing the running game and see what happens.

Also, if there is ever a time to "unleash" JP, it is now. We are playing the texans with one of the worst pass defenses in the league. If he is going to do big things, he would do it against them. Should be interesting to see what happens.

  8. I missed the game and was wondering how we did. I take it by the score our D must have played really well. How was JP this week and how did we do without Willis at RB?

D played awesome. Reminded me of our D from a couple years ago. Mcgee made a couple huge plays. Running game went well, thomas looked pretty good. Offense was pretty bad as a whole, especially red zone. Playcalling was an issue, losman threw only 13 passes. Just another frustrating sunday in the line of many.

  9. Wasn't the Patriots method to sign up lots of small name FAs?

I'm sure that was it. 0:)

The key: Pretty much their entire starting offensive and defensive lines aquired via the draft. Take a look at our lines. How many are our draft choices? Thanks donahoe you P.O.S.

  10. Heh, take it easy.

I know what you're saying but like Acor said, there has been good examples of both.  Of course that's why you hire a GM, so he could figure it out for you...

    Come on Marv..

A free agent here and there will most definitely help, (drew brees) but consistent winning teams are built through the draft. We will see what marv is made of about 3 years from now when the donahoe dust has dissipated.
