    that doesn't mean thy won't sign some guys...   and it also doesn't mean they won't sign a top guy (or vice versa), it just means they are not signing a bunch of FA.

    I'm inclined to agree with this. Our defense is good enough to hold a lot of teams down throughout the season but when you get to playoff games against the likes of Mahomes, Burrow and (soon) Herbert, you need to blow them away.

     

    I'd love to improve the OL with FA, then go for a speedy WR (1st) and RB (3rd) in the draft, maybe a CB in RD 2

     How do you blow them away if the defense can't stop them????   it make the offense have to be perfect AND you have to end the game having the ball (with less than 13 sec.) so you're good with a 50% chance at beating the chiefs and whoever else every year?

    I keep saying this we need a pass rusher someone that the other team needs to game plan for., Unfortunately we don't have just one need... we need a CB, speed WR, IOL, not in any order except Pass rusher should still be #1 (Im hoping a vet that want to win a super bowl comes on the cheap). Big wish I know.

    Look we closed the gap, last year the chiefs game was one sided this year it was a tossup....   now we need to go the rest of the way....   we need a guy on defense the  other teams need to gameplay for...   somehow someway they need to figure out how to get that guy.

    that defense gets run over...   if you get rid of star you have to draft / sign a big boy to help stop the run. 

     

    otherwise ?I like where you are going although I still think the most important guy to get is a Pass rusher.

    even if Frasier leaves the defense is not changing Sean is still playing the same style and that's fine but we need more talent on defense...  and it always starts with a dominating pass rusher....Tre was missed big time when it matter most last night (he's been the best player on the defense since his draft year). we need another guy that can take over in the front seven,  until we draft / sign someone the defense is what it is.
