There are alot of clever posters and decent people on this board but they are outweighed heavily by an overwhelming negativity.
Taking pot shots at Bledsoe in frankly a pretty unfair way by a growing number of posters has become like so much meansport. I now hope he leaves town and Losman starts.
To the decent folks, thanks for clever, entertaining banter.
Go Bills.
See ya.

I've pretty much given up on the subject. Some people are just incapable of judging what they see with their own two eyes. They are simply more comfortable gobbling up whatever storyline the media is dishing out at the time. That week's shlt on a shingle happened to be "Injured QB gives heroic effort", so regardless of the fact that Drew stunk it up baaaaaad that day, all they're going to remember is whatever their media icons told them to remember.
Cya
Drew "stunk it up baaaaaddd that day" is to put it kindly, inaccurate.
Threw 1 touchdown pass.
Had a drive that resulted in a FG.
Had no Interceptions
Had no fumbles
Sustained 3 drives in the 2nd half of 4:30, 4:00 and 4:40 all with 3rd down passing conversions.
Brady scored NO points.
If you and several others think that by repeating that he stunk in the AFC Chanmpionship that day somehow makes it true, have at it. Clearly, you'll bust this guy to suit the "get rid of him" agenda even if it means you have to stretch the truth.

I drink Michelob Ultra almost exclusively and it's acceptable. Mostly I like that I can have 4-5 after a game and not feel like falling asleep or (worse) like a big fat blob. I just lost 20 pounds (down to my high school weight) and I WILL NOT GO BACK to being a fatty.
On a related note, let's hear how many of you beer snobs are seriously, hopelessly, FAT! Here's to ya chubby!
You're either a smug anorexic or your high school weight was 245.
Now which is it?

A couple of Guiness' (tap only), a couple of Harpoon IPAs and coast the rest of the aft or evening on Miller Lite. Then drive home(hell by then I'm too drunk to walk)

My wife said something too, like, "Wow they're not using some hot chick for his wife. That's nice."
(suddenly I feel doubly deprived)

Drew bashing takes another creative twist.
It's only Feb 1st.
Where will we be by June? (and yes I know he could be gone by June,
but being gone won't stop this train)
Some upcoming topics:
I'm only a junior high quarterback but I know I'm better than Bledsoe.
Name the greatest statue; Lincoln Memorial, Iwo Jima, Bledsoe...hahahaha
Bledsoe had zits as a kid...and they were reaaally gross!
The Bledsoes are not patriotic enough..discuss
Drew Bledsoe's career, yuck!
Have you erased all of the games where Drew Bledsoe appeared? I did!!
If you could turn back time would you prevent Bledsoe from being born?
When Bledsoe leaves town lets all follow him in our cars and give him the bird. hahaha
When JP gets into the Hall of Fame do you think he'll thank Drew for stuff
he didn't learn from him? hahahaha
There ya go Rico et al, did a little homework for ya.

Harrison and the people he has speared over the years are all lucky no spinal injuries have occurred. Their careers, and his, would be over.
The late hits, the extra smacks out of bounds after the whistle blows are not the mark of a tough guy. They're the mark of a punk.
"But you'd love to have him on your team". Bullsh-t. He can play for someone else I have NO respect for this guy.

Carol Channing!! That's the name that I couldn't think of. Exact duplicate
only Carol Channing always played dumb.
She has really co-opted her political views and calmed things down for Fox to keep the regular gig.

Look, I'm not sure he belongs in the HOF either, but he is in the record book in quite a few places. I know that HOF selecting in the NFL is way more subjective than MLB, but I have to believe that the NFL HOF selection committee at least looks at the record books.
All I am saying that people suggesting that a Drew Bledsoe inclusion into the HOF is laughable are wrong. Take it any way you wish.
I agree.
Also, I can't find Boomer Esiason's name on there anywhere.....
Apparently a comparison can only take place if you cherry pick stats

My Dad is dead. But since the apple doesn't often fall far from the tree...yeah, he probably can.
-
It was not by any means a spectacular catch. Patten was easily able to catch it with both hands and get down well within bounds. It's common to throw the ball high in the endzone to prevent INTs. Check Football 101.
Now you guys want to analyse the quality of the TD throws....you haters are starting to look silly.
With any luck, for you and your gang's sake and Bledsoe's too, Bledsoe will be gone. But the trashing has been taken to a truly tasteless level. You guys gotta find a hobby.
-
You are the revisionist. I corrected Fez who falsely said the Patriots were behind when Drew entered the game. The Pats were up 7-0 at that point. You obviously did not watch that game. Like I said Drew played great for one drive then sucked ass the rest of it. He couldnt score any other points, made horrible decisions and could not convert 3rd downs- sounds familiar doesnt it? Troy Brown had a punt return for a TD and the Pats special teams scored on a blocked FG. Special teams and defense carrying Drews ass- that most definatley is familiar.
I most certainly did watch the game. After 4 months off Bledsoe came in and got the job done against the league's best D.
Check the stats. He converted 3 3rd downs. He did drive for a field goal also.
In your zeal to belittle Bledsoe you're calling his effort horrible when it was not.
That's both unfair and disingenuous.

Brady left without scoring any points. They were ahead 7-0 on a special teams touchdown.
Bledsoe scored 10 points. Bledsoe played 35 minutes to Brady's 25.
Drew did not play horribly. No INTs, no fumbles. 3 second half drives of between 4 and 5 minutes each. 3 3rd down conversions. He played well and won the game.
Your revisionist history about that game is ridiculous. If Brady is credited with the win then it's simply another case of Brady getting more undeserved credit for something for which he had little to do.

Hall of fame? ha ha
-->I<-- am a better QB than Drew Bledsoe. You might think I'm kidding but I'm not. I really believe this. I mean, I may have been third string in high school, but I could always throw the short passes with touch I thought. And with better accuracy than Drew for sure.
Let's say the Bills are down by two and need to drive for the win. With Drew at the helm, he's doomed to get sacked and fumble or, if we're lucky, just sacked or he throws 4 straight incompletions (maybe the 4th one is picked off). Put me at the helm and run a couple of screens. I promise I'll get the ball off in time and with the proper arc, direction, and touch.
We probably wouldn't score, of course, after all I'm a security analyst, not a QB. But I do think I'd move the ball a bit better than Drew. But that's just me.
I've been waiting for that final bit of info to swing me over to the Drew hater's way of thinking.
When a high school third string QB is convinced he's better than Bledsoe what more is there to say?
Bledsoe? Done.
(by the way, since I was a starting JUCO RB that makes me better than Travis Henry right?)

If the 75% voter turnout holds, and it appears it will, then we are seeing an election that brought out almost 15% more people than our own.
And this with the threat of death at virtually every polling place. They can appear as trite words sometimes, but the right to vote, to express yourself freely, to live in a free society, are very powerful motivations.
The Bush haters are out with their comments about "tsunamis saving Bush" and "peachy" and the more reasoned comments by other dissenters; but the US military can hold their heads very, very high today and should lift a toast to each other and their dead and wounded comrades for a job well done. With more to come.
They have begun to change the dynamic in a region of our world where people are oppressed. The results of this day will not be known in 10 days but in 10 to 15 years.
