  1. All valid points, and I agree that many aspects of today's game made it difficult to distinguish who was more to blame for the inept offense - Mularkey and the O coaches, Moulds, Reed (where WAS he?), the offensive line, or Bledsoe.

However, aside from the details of this individual game, I think what I'm really trying to get at is that - deep down and perhaps subconsciously - this offense and team in general has little faith in their QB (based on his play in the past year and a half), and it is showing through their less than inspired play at various critical points of games. The rest of the team feels like they have to play perfect or else they will lose. Thus, you see this offense coming apart at the strings when bad things happen and you see this defense folding at the end of the game when their already herculean efforts for 59.75 minutes are never enough to secure a simple victory.

Playoff-caliber QB's can manufacture this missing confidence out of nowhere. If a QB is easily susceptible to losing confidence in himself - like Drew admitted last year - how is the rest of the team supposed to react to this?

Drew is a nice guy, but pretty soon we are going to figure out that it's time we get someone in there who will always believe in himself no matter the circumstances. Unwaveringly cocky SOB's like Kelly, Favre, and perhaps Losman don't always make the best friends, the best spouses, the best all-around human beings, etc... but they make for some DAMN good QB's.

So subconsciously the individual mistakes made(any single one of which would have meant a win), are because the players have no faith in Drew.

    That makes perfect sense.

I learned one thing from your post. I won't be opening another of them because you are clearly clueless about the game of football.

  2. Drew didnt do anything to lose the game, I give him that...but Losman strikes me as a guy who can just ignite an offense around him.  His confidence and ability to make things happen will make this team a winner...too bad it wont happen until next year

So Bledsoe has what I would describe as a "good" game. Not great, not super, but good and the Losman talk starts up. Is this what we have to listen to all year..

"what Losman would do if only he were here.."

Gimme a break. You're flushing Bledsoe for a freaking dream. Losman's unbelievable future grows bigger with every day he sits and eats ice cream.

If ever there was a loss where about 7 people and an offensive coordinator rank ahead of Bledsoe in the blame department then this is it. This blame the QB all the time shows a real lack of football knowledge, IMHO.

  3. Why aren't you bitching about all the fumbles or dropped passes or the stupidity on all those 4th down completions?!

Get real and put blame where it belongs!

There's plenty of individual blame to go around. My B word is with the coaching

decision to sit on a 4 point lead with 7:13 left. 10 more run plays than pass plays is not balance. There were 2 instances during the last 2 drives when a play action

would have easily resulted in a first down and probably a TD.

First year coaches don't have the gonads to be bold in that situation. I understand that. I just don't like it.

  4. It's been a long time since we saw a Bills team that could close like that, and I for one freaking loved it.

    Close like what??

    13-10 loss?

They needed to "go get" a first down. Jags were stuffed for the run.

    Throw the damn ball.

A 6-10 team picked by everyone to be in the cellar needs to attack, attack

TAKE the win away from the opponent. Play to Win, don't play, Not to Lose.

  5. The "run the damn ball" people squawked all off season, and you all know who you are. 36 running plays today vs 26 passing plays.

And the gutless coaches tried to run the clock out at 7:13 remaining with a 4 point lead. Nine plays after that, all runs.

Do you think that after that many running plays a few play action passes might work? Of course they would. Late in the 4th or not, use your weapons. Grow a damn pair!!!
