  1. kudos to the Bills and Drew for having a good game.

that doesn't mean Drew Bledsoe is off the hook. He's had good games at times. But that doesn't change all the BAD games and plays. Hey, he's another fumble into the arms of Richard Seymour away from being the scapegoat again.

And because a fan is critical of a 12 year Veteran QB's play hardly makes one a fair weather fan. You gonna tell me that Friggin Lonnie Johnson or Eric Flowers should have gotten unconditional respect from Bills fans despite their poor play?

Drew still had some HORRIBLE thows in the game, some short throws that were behind receivers. Throws I would expect a 12 year vet to make with his eyes closed.

But he made allot of nice throws as well. I expect that from him. That's what we traded for to get him. Remember that.

I'm elated over yesterday's win. But there is one thing that sticks in my mind about Bledsoe yesterday. The third down spike after the clock ran forever.

I know it was a late call from coaches. But this is a 12 year vet. Could you imagine Jim Kelly or Doug Flutie at that point in their careers, NOT having the savvy to call an audible or something to take advantage of the opportunity they had that close to the goal line. I mean, get the play called to at least throw a quick pass to the corner of the EZ, something that would stop the clock so you could kick on 4th down??? All teams have a play call like that in case they have little to no time. That's called knowing your offense.

damn I feel like Barry Brady.

    Go Bills!!!!

Watch any game in the NFL and you will see QB's like Manning making bad throws. Your arguement doesn't hold up i am sorry.

  2. Actually Bledsoe did the only thing he could have done in that situation. He had the wrong personal on the field. He had Willis and Sheldon as his only targets to work with. The rest were just blockers. He could have tried to call another running play or he could have tried to throw a pass to Sheldon or Willis but risk a mistake that could cost them not getting any points on the board.

IMO, Bledsoe made the right decision to put 3 points on the board.

  3. God guys get over the Bledsoe bashing. There are exactly 3 games this year where the line has played great. Those 3 games we have wins in.

I don't care what team you play for and how mobile a QB is but if your line sucks it up on the field your QB is going to have a bad day. Peddington played like crap today and you want to know why? It is because he didn't have that much time to throw the ball. The Bills blitzed the stevestojan out him and he ended up hurting his shoulder because he got hit. Peddington was on his back alot of the day.

Bledsoe had a ton of time today and he avoided the rushers because he only had one to deal with. Bledsoe was able to step up into the pocket today BECAUSE HE HAD ONE TO STEP UP INTO. Everytime Abraham and Ellis tried to get at Drew his line pushed them to the outside so he could step into it.

Willis has alot to do with the extra time Bledsoe has. Willis doesn't miss blocks like Henry does. He also makes decisions faster then Henry.

Sheldon and Willis have stepped up their play. The missed assignments and the missed blocks on rushing linebackers isn't happening as often.

  4. Looking at the last 2 games and the Miami game that Bledsoe can avoid the sack as long as it is only one person. He like most other QB's in the league have trouble when mulitple people are in the backfield.

Willis is a better blocker that Henry. Henry has always been subpar in that department. All a Back needs to do is slow down a blitzing lineman, CB, or Linebacker for a extra 1 or 2 seconds. Willis does it very well.

I have always been a Travis supporter because he is a work horse. Willis is a smarter player and is showing he can be a work horse.

The offense is better with Willis in the game.

I still like Henry but I like this offense better with Willis being the go too guy.

  5. ICE,

a few days ago you were calling this season a wash now we can turn the corner?

I do agree this was a good win. A little bit of a nail biter at the end but it just goes to show how much this offense has grown over the last few weeks. That TD didn't bother them one bit.

  6. It doesn't matter who you face on any given sunday. Any team can walk away with a win. Arizona is a good football team. They had the best red zone defense, they hadn't allowed a rushing TD all year. Alot of people comment on the weather and don't like the fact that Bledsoe only had 80 yards throwing but he did engineer our offense into the end zone 4 times.

A win is a win is a win. Our offense has gotten better since week 1. This weekend I think will be an even bigger breakout week for the Bills.

  7. Yeah lets put our future QB at risk by playing him.

    BRILLIANT!!!

You don't rehab a broken leg by having him play a football game. His leg is barely even healed yet. He needs to gain strength in the leg by building the muscles back up. The muscles will help protect that leg. Hell he could break it again just by tripping over someone's foot.

I am sorry but someone's supposed ego doesn't come before letting a kid heal. Nobody is that cruel.

  8. Duly noted. Thanks, I wasn't aware of that.  It is good that Drew is doing that.  I don't tip my hat much, if any, to Drew... but if this is the case, I'll make an exception and applaud himfor doing the right thing.

One question... what if the Drew gets sacked, say twice in one game and both sacks are his fault.  Do the O linemen still get rewarded?
