1. I agree completely. No one is going to bring in TB until he's healthy, and then he won't know that team's system at all. The Bills shouldn't waste a roster spot on a guy who they can easily pickup later if needed, and Matthews has shown more in 2 days and a pre-season game with the Bills than TB has in 3+ years. Of course it would mean an injury settlement.

  2. I think Dorenbos stays and Freddie Smith gets cut. Also I think it's a toss-up between Shelton and Lawton, and maybe between McKenzie and Ritzmann. In each of those last 2, if the rookies don't make it, they go to the PS. I also think Neufeld makes it over Trafford, who goes to the PS, because there isn't much experience if you have Campbell, Euhus, and Trafford. And Sully is gone. At least the coaches like Puke's work ethic and when you have that, there is always the possibility of future success.

  3. Peters probably didn't stand out as a receiver to back-up Campbell but most importantly, his run blocking skills must've been pretty bad.  After all, this new regime appears to want to run the ball down our opponents throat!

    Finally!

It's amazing that a TE his size, which is at least 65# heavier than your average TE, isn't a good blocker. What a shame.

  4. You can't Monday is the earliest you can start to add players.

It must be a future (meaning Monday) thing then:

"Buccaneers | Hilton Joining Team - from www.KFFL.com

    Sat, 4 Sep 2004 14:19:17 -0700

Jim Flynn, of PewterReport.com, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have reached a verbal contract agreement with DE Isaac Hilton to join the team's practice squad."

  5. I did not read the latest article, but an older article (weeks ago) said that he was also expected to pay back some of his NO Saints bonus money.  Is that because the Dolphins absorbed some of that $$$?

    18583

Nope. However I believe that RW's contract says that even that money must be repaid, although I don't know if it's to the Dolphins. If anything the Saints should get it back.

  6. He was basically saying for example in 4 wide receiver sets Gilbride would have all of their receivers run an option based on the coverage on them then Bledsoe would have to react to all of the receivers adjusments and know where the reciever was going to be then throw the ball to a receiver. By the time Bledsoe would be able to figure out where to go with the ball he would have held on to the ball to long then get sacked.

    18196

Repeat after me Superhero: IT'S ALL BLEDSOE'S FAULT! He's been coached by some of the most brilliant offensive minds over his career, and had the best talent on offense year in and year out. His failures are strictly his own and no one can teach him anything. Or so I've been told.

  7. I disagree with the Jets, they have one of the best DE tandems in the league, they released the old and slow linebackers and replaced them with more athletic and, faster players.

There defense will be quicker and much improved.

I see them at 10-6 or in the 9-7 range.

    18011

Their interior DL is still weak, Abraham is injured too often to be counted-on, and their secondary is weak. As for their LB'ers, yes they're younger and faster, but they're also more inexperienced, and they have a new DC.

  8. Dude..Chill out...Ok what has Rj ever done for this team? Not a goddamn thing. I bet you Wade Phillips loses sleep every night starting RJ over Flutie vs Tennessee.  I know Rob played a great game but Flutie had started most of the year and done well....1 meaningless start against Indy (which I was at) and he picks RJ.  I hypothyzize if Flutie started...we woulda went to the Super Bowl. FLAME AWAY

    17994

No way the Bills go to the SB that year, Flutie or not. The O-line was getting decimated towards the end of the year and in that playoff game against the Titans, and IIRC there were some injuries on defense.

  9. I don't buy the Jaguars talk, the Bills will bury that myth by half time! The Raiders are still highly questionable, and Kansas City and Denver are simply better! I do agree with your assessment on the Rams, although they will STILL be able to outscore some teams. Carolina is offensive line challenged and that might get Delhomme killed! If that happens, put a folk in them! The Jets are going to be 8-8 due strictly to Pennington, NO denying he is for real.... The Bills MUST RUN at every turn, but if it's done, then playoffs are a definite possibility with this defense! Don't get too bored, but 17- 13 finals might be the norm this season for Bledsoe and company! One thing though please, TURNOVERS!!!!!

    17944

Agree with everything you wrote, except that the Rams have no O-line, especially if Pace still holds-out.

  10. Mad Buff disease wtf kinda names do you guys have on here?? anyway wth do you think Evans has being playing against??? and he still can't catch a cold, and I bet you Colbert's stats will be better than Evans and he will be a no.4 receiver in that offense with Smith, Muhammad, and Proehl

    17879

Evans has gotten open deep for some passes, but his QB's couldn't get him the ball. And I doubt he has better stats than Evans if he's #4.

  11. Colbert has played against backups all pre-season long. He's had 2 games where he's had 3 catches for 100+ yards and a score or two, and 2 games where he's had 1 catch for 18 yards. Let him play against 1st stringers before selecting him to the all-rookie team, please.
