  1. If he knows footbal like no other, Why has he continued to get beat in big games? Don't blame it all on his defense, he did throw 4 INT against NE last year. Until he can beat those demons, he is not the best....You are nuts!!!
  2. I was refering to his 4th quarter comebacks which he has been good at. He obviously has choked in big games though... Can't argue with that....
  3. I have no doubt he will break Marino's records and be the greatest "passer" of all time. Unfortunately, he will share another stat with Dan. Peyton will never win a Super Bowl not because of him, but because his defense sucks so bad. It is not getting better either especially with his salary holding the team back. By the way, it takes more than stats and passing to be a great QB, it takes the most important thing, leadership when the game is on the line. Peyton is great at this, but Joe M, John E, and Brett F are better. That is why they are better QBs than Peyton.
  4. Not if he has to play in NE or Pittsburgh in January...When is the last time the guy played in cold , windy weather.... ah yes.....Last year in NE.... (and I hate NE!!!!)
  5. Why don't we let both of them fight it out in the preseason and see who wants it more??
  6. Not that I am agreeing with BF, but are you saying that the "fans" that were on the court shuld not be arrested. They were trespassing and assulting players. Also, throwing any object like a chair or plastic cup is assault. Ron Artest should be suspended from the NBA for the year and charged with assault just like the fans. Any fan caught on the court or throwing objects at players (including dumping beer) should be banned from the Palace for life and arrested for trespassing or assault depending on their actions.
  7. Not to sound redundant....but Ben Wallace was not the only one at fault. Ben started the fight on the court. He should be fined/suspended for that but he is is no way responsible for what the fans do in the stands. Ron Artest should be the one that is suspended and fined the most. If he did not run into the stands and let security handle the fan, then the situation might not have happened. Steven Jackson was trying to help Artest after that, so his suspendson should be minimal. The one I feel sorry for the most is Jermaine O.Neal. He did punch that guy but that guy was on the floor and open season. After that he was just trying to leave with all the crap thrown on him. Hopefully, they arrest some fans and put higher security in the Palace from now on.....This is my opinion..
  8. you just answered your own question. A Blaylock is great pick-up if you have Priest becasue KC is running machine. Jake is a capable back-up for DM.
  9. I have to believe that the only reason that Bledsoe is starting this week is because we have NO OTHER OPTION!!!!! All of you guys that say Matthews, give me a break. The guy was not even in training camp for any of 32 teams this year. Which means that all 32 teams must see something wrong with him. DUH!!!! Al of those who say JP, I wish it could happen but it can't. By JP's comments he MIGHT be physically ready, but certainly not MENTALLY ready. He has not practiced in 8-10 weeks and has only played in one preseason game. He needs at least a couple of weeks of practice taking 50 percent of the snaps before we put him. Sadly enough, Drew is out best shot of winning right now and not killing JP. If MM plays JP and he re-injuries his leg, we will lose JP gaining experience this year in preparation for 2005. There is no better options right now.
  10. I have been a Drew Bledsoe supporter since we traded for him. This season I could look at the offensive line and say it was more their fault than Drew's but not after last night. That was one of the worst performances I have ever seen by a Buffalo Bills QB ever. Even in the days of Flutie and RJ, the QB position was not this bad. MM even said that NE did "nothing tricky" in defending their offense. The Bills knew what was coming and were unprepared for it. The lost was a team lost, but Drew is the captain of the offense and he goes down with the ship. Matter of fact, the offensive line pass blocked NE better this game than in any in recent memory. NE came in with the intention of stopping the running game and did. When a team does that, you have to attack down field and expose their secondary which had a WR playing in it. Drew is all done. I am not sure how we fix the Cap situation with him. You are correct in saying that the game starts in the trenches and the Bills need to improve in this area especially the "offensive" line. I believe that the Bills would be starting JP if he was ready physically and mentally which I don't think he is. MM can not come out and say this though or lose any morale that is left. He must back Drew until JP is ready. I believe that is what he is doing with his comments today. Just my opinion ......
  11. I don't think it was fair to judge him in that situation. The Pats knew he was going to pass and he came cold off the bench. Let's give him a start in which he is prepared to judge him
  12. I would love to just teach the subject and not have to worry about teaching "life". Unfortunately, school is part of society and certain rules need to apply. I don't agree with the piercing thing but the parents should have realized the rule prior to enrolling in the school. Certain rules have to be applied because most minors CAN NOT think for themselves. Parents and people that are not in education forget what it is like to have a classroom full of children. These rules are necessary to maintain order so the kids that want to learn can. Like a normal society, school can not run on chaos. Example....I caught a student cheating and copying another student's work. I called his parents and gave him a zero on the assignment. The mother agreed until later she found out that his overall grade was being pushed down to a B because of the zero. She called me and said that her son told her he was just looking at the other student's work to get good ideas from it. He told her so and "my son never lies". You would not be surprised how many times I hear that in one year. What is going to happen when this person gets to "society" and cheats at work? Is his Mommy going to call the boss and make excuses for him. This is how sad it is getting. Parents believe their kids over a teacher. Like a 13 year old doesn't lie
  13. If that is the case, I pay my own salary as well. I have just weighed in on your "input" and realized since you have no clue what is happening in schools, I really don't have to listen. It is like me telling you how to do your job, I am not an expert in your area Would you listen to me??
  14. I don't think that either team cares if they play each other. Miami has the ACC and ND has NBC. Both are winners...
  15. Welcome to the world of public education where parents think that the school is suppose to treat them like customers. If you do not like the polices set forth by public schools, then home school your children. Your tax dollars does not mean you are in charge. By the way, i am a teacher....
  16. Yeah especially all those service academies. I'm surpirsed ND doesnt schedule games against The Coast Guard Academy and the Merchant Marine. Lets not forget the Civil Air Partrol. 113753[/snapback] Yep...and Miami played Louisana Tech and Houston this year. A combined 7-11 this year in the Western Atlantic and Conf. USA respectively. I would put Air Force and Navy against those schools any day. Besides, How many top ten schools has Miami beat this year. Let me tell you. Zero ND has beaten two
  17. Where are all the "We should have drafted Mckinnie instead of Big Mike" posts? McKinnie looks slower than Mike right now...although Dwight is awesome... Overall, I am still glad we got Mike over McKinnie
  18. You have got to remember that the market for Corey was not very good as NE was the only team interested. Unlike the Peerless Price trade where the WR market favored PP. It all depends on the market, Late 1st rounder (28-32) to early fourth rounder. Hopefully, the market is good.
  19. One thing to think about is that this injury is a hard one to come back from right away. Vick had the same injury last year and he was out pretty much the whole year. Steve Smith broke his fibula and he is on the IR. I think that MM will play JP when he is physically ready and not likely to get hurt again. I don't think he is hitching his wagon to DB, just being cautious about the future of this team.
  20. Check him out now in goal-line situations but there could be a switch next year with an off-season to learn. It does not take "years" to learn guard for every player but a complete offseason with camp might be possible. He does have athletic potential and is not being used on defense very much.
  21. I wouldn't be surprised if Dylan McFarland turns out to compete for a starting job next year. He is a project type with physical skills that McNally has been known to make better. He is 6-5 305 lbs and with a frame to put on weight according to the Bills Draft board. He has been unsucessful putting on weight in college but Rusty will have no problem helping him with that. He played LT and center in college so he has some versatility. I would not rely on this to happen, go make other plans, but you can never have too many good lineman.
  22. NO WAY!!!! I live in Charlotte and have seen Chris play in person a few years back. He is one of those physical skills guy that couldn't read a high school defense. We need a back-up vet that is not going to win us games but can learn the offense quickly and not lose it for us. This is about running the ball ....right?? Not sure who is available but......there will be someone either this Tuesday or next when cuts happen.
  23. I would rather have RJ than Shane Matthews!!
