He was 249# at the combine. Who knows what he actually played at last year.
wait a second.....when did he play last year?
-
I don't want either of them.
I am holding out hope Okung will break a nail between now and draft day and scare off anyone picking ahead of us.

Funny how people have differing opinions on sports radio personalities.
I can't stand listening to Stephen A. Smith, but a friend of mine listens to him every day.
For me...Cowherd is currnently hands down the best in the business.

Claussen out of rd 1?
the Best DE in Pierre-Paul is the 3rd DE taken
We are drafting a LB that is 3rd best at his position according to a majority of other sites i have seen.
Im not saying that the others are right, but this mock just does not make very much sense.
none of them ever make any sense in hind sight after the real thing is done.

They have the Bills taking Sergio Kindle and Jimmy Clausen is out of the 1st round altogether.

THIS <-- isn't quite as hilariarious...but hadn't heard this report yet.

Oakland could sign him and let him compete with JaMarcus!
For a back up role to JP?

If this happens I'd be happy..but if this means Lynch is gone...it will be bittersweet...I think Lynch just had a down year.
I like Lynch as a player...I really think he is going to be a great player in the NFL - whether it is with the Bills or some other team. I love the way he runs with 3 and 4 tacklers hanging all over him.
However....he is one bad off field event away from taking a one year vacation, and I doubt he has learned anything from his previous misdeeds. And for that reason, if traded - the Bills likely won't get what he is worth. I think he is worth a late 1st round pick but the reality is, they will be luck to get a 2nd round pick for him.

I just thought this would be a good idea since a lot of people like to post mocks. With one thread people can still post mocks and get others opinions without starting a new thread. Just an idea.
Here's mine keeping in mind my definition of a reach is taking a guy who will still be there with your next pick; (extra picks are from JP and Ko Simpson trades)
Players and the places they will be taken are still in flux this early so rounds are approx. (Based on PFW draft guide and Lindy's PFD)
Round #1: Bryan Buluga OT Iowa 6'6" 312 (praying he'll be there )
Round #2: Dan Williams DT Tennessee 6'2" 329
Round #3: Dan LeFevour QB Central Michigan 6'3" 238
Round #4: Darryl Sharpton ILB Miami (Fla) 6'0" 229
Round #5: Linval Joseph DT East Carolina 6'6" 322
Round #6a: Chris Marinelli OT Stanford 6'7" 300
Round #6 b: Verran Tucker WR California 6'1" 200
Round 7a: Arlic Arnett WR West Virginia 6'2" 183
Round 7b: Boris Lee ILB Troy 6'0" 238
keep the threads to a minimumyeah...good luck with that.

The only reason Mike Williams quit the team at Syracuse is because he was about to be thrown off. He didn't want to leave and he has a $0.05 head. Giving him a ten cent head is giving him too much credit.
Interesting...the rumor from inside the team I had heard was he quit the team because he had some people advising him to quit the team, because they weren't going anywhere and they thought it best for him to avoid any possibility of injury.

From the same article: I have read mutiple reports quoting the same things with former Syracuse WR Mike Williams:
WR Mike Williams, Syracuse*Entering the draft early after having had to sit out the 2008 season due to academics and having quit the Orange squad midway through his junior campaign, Williams came into the Combine with mighty questions to answer. Instead of coming clean with coaches and executives who questioned his motives, he continually talked in circles, refused to own up to his mistakes and was left being compared to Maurice Clarett from a maturity and intelligence standpoint by one GM who suffered through the interview. Producing a Combine WR-worst eight reps in the 225-pound bench-press test, despite being one of the three heaviest receivers at the event, also did nothing to convince executives that he works as hard as he claims or that football is important to him.
This guy is loaded with talent and a 10 cent brain. Very unfortunate.

I am beginning to think that Matt Moore or Chris Redman may be the best options if it falls to choosing a FA rather than landing Bradford or Claussen - however with the no cap/and FA rules this year, I have no idea who would be avail...or who won't be avail.

I only post this because the Bama D - features none other than Cornelius Bennett.

Some who won a Super Bowl after leaving the Bills... (source http://www.completesuperbowl.com)

Just add a southern drawl to the unnamed "club architect" and tell me it doesn't sound like something Buddy Nix would say...
Why the secrecy? Why doesn't King just tell the reader who he spoke with.
Crap like that drives me crazy.

off topic...but if you want to hear a great "wig out" do a search on Sparky Anderson going off on a radio reporter on Youtube.
I don't have access to Youtube at work - otherwise I would link it. Well worth taking the time to check out.

That was one John Butler missed on big time
That one along with Erik Flowers.
-
He will likely get in as one of those "veteran inductee" deals. Not sure how they work...but in 20 years someone will say...geee...that guy was in a bunch of Pro Bowls, he should be in the HOF.
-
Syracuse DT Arthur Jones was going in the mid to late 1st in the mock drafts back in Dec...now he is late 2nd or third.
He would be a great steal in the 3rd if he would drop that far.
-
dont want a wr at 2 rd- this mock doesn't factor a move to 3-4. interesting that Cody is available a few spots ahead in rd 2.
wouldn't mind - McClain (1) Cody (2)
That would be great as long as they can plug the hole at LT with a solid FA.

This thread makes me yearn for the old days....like about 2 minutes ago before I clicked on it.

I like them both.

I don't see how Ralph could be "comfortable" with that.
Signing A Bunch of Linebackers
in The Stadium Wall Archives
Posted
My guess is some of the recent signings are just to provide some bodies or aka "live tackling dummies" for mini-camps.
