Terribly sad news. He was clearly one of the genuine good guys from the Super Bowl era team.
Just terrible.
RIP

Roosevelt isn't good enough to pimp his way into the endzone like that. If I were his coach I would knock his dick in the dirt and tell him if it ever happens again to plan on sitting the bench the rest of the day.

YE OLE is loving the white helmets... bringing back a lot of good memories. We're TALKIN' PROUD gents! Enjoy:

Exactly.

I am a kid of the 70's. My favorite Bills player of all time is Joe Ferguson. And I still love the idea of Fergy chucking the ball to Bobby Chandler.
So....pardon me as a do a flash back in my mind.....Bryan Scott - jersey and all - brought back memories of Tony Greene - picking off balls yesterday.
Good times!
-
I don't know how much credit to give Gailey for the "building of the offense".....but I will say this....that was the best offensive play calling I have seen by a Bills Head Coach since I don't know when.
I understand that as soon as he lays an egg....everyone will be calling for his head - but for today all I can think of was what a great game of play calling.
The series at the end of the game? Are you kidding me? Dickie and his crew would not have had the brains or the balls to kneel on the ball to run down the clock and kick a FG.
Hail Chan! Congratulations on a great win for the organization!!

I'm no Tom Modrak, but I believe Ponder will be the best QB in this years draft class and I would have been thrilled if the Bills had been able to trade back into the first to grab him.
-
I guess we can mostly just speculate until some "insider" or Modrak himself provides some insight.
I will throw this out there and say, they may have decided they were going to dump him some time ago but were too far into the process and didn't want to see their scouting reports end up in the hands of an opposing organization.
Either way...you gotta love the drama.
-
I don't ever remember reading so many mixed scouting reports on a single player as Aaron Williams.
He's fast. He's slow.
He is great against the pass. He allows too many catches.
He is good tackler. He is a poor tackler.
etc...etc...
Looking forward to seeing how this kid pans out.

But the guy's got to try to do some damage control.
Not to debate your position overall on Newton, but I didn't hear any damage control in the interview.
-
I think this link now includes the audio file of the interview:
-
Great interview with the guy from PFW who ripped Cam Newton on the Dan Patrick show.
Should be able to post a link to the interview shortly.
cliffs note: issues he has with Newton were more with off the field....then on field.
Pro Football Weekly draft analyst Nolan Nawrocki joined the show to talk about his draft analysis of quarterback Cam Newton. He had some harsh things to say about Newton’s personality, and Hall of Famer Warren Moon said Nawrocki was using racial stereotypes.Nawrocki said that the analysis comes from tape, and talking to teams. He said he’s talked to six of the teams in the top 10 in the last 48 hours.
“It’s the most difficult decision some have ever been presented with,” Nawrocki said. “I don’t know if there’s a sure thing at the quarterback position.”
Nawrocki said that teams aren’t sure about Newton or Blaine Gabbert in the top 10.
“This isn’t a personal attack on Cam,” Nawrocki said. “It’s the result of a lot of research.”
Nawrocki said there’s a lot more on Newton. And that there’s a lot of stuff that teams know that the public doesn’t know.

Sad that this is the most exciting news out of One Bills Drive since who knows when.
Having said that....I am PUMPED! The anticipation will kill me.
-
Great move. I would like him to be def coordinator though.
My guess....he is.
Wanny's first conversation with Edwards...
"You know that I know that you know what I know".
-
I miss Joel Buchsbaum.

R.I.P. Cookie. Sad story of a guy who just never got over a feeling the world had screwed him over.
I remember reading that back in the day John Madden considered Cookie one of the top two RB's in both the AFL/NFL combined in the decade of the 60's.
-
Can't remember, but a week face to face will tell you more about someone than an interview and tape, doesn't it?
My concern is it could also cause your staff to be spread pretty thin. Just my opinion.
-
Considering the Seahawks will down by 21 points in the first quarter, and throwing the ball the rest of the game to try and get back in it, I say he rushes for 22 yards.
-
I don't know if that is a benefit. Who coached them last year and how did that team draft?
-
Not a fan of Newton. But I do love Luck, and really like Mallet.
This team has so many needs, its hard to say where they need to begin.
If Luck isn't there at #3 - which is a certainty....because even if Carolina or Denver don't want him, they will trade with someone who will.....the Bills should trade down and get as many picks as possible.
I know that right now Mallet isn't high on anyones list that I see, but my guess is that by the time draft day rolls around, he will be ahead of Newton on most boards. Don't crucify me for saying it....it's just a hunch.
-
James Hardy Cut
"most definately".
-
Looks great!
-
I've been on this board for a while, not as active as I used to be so forgive me if this is out of line,,,,,,,; and I know Lori Chase is some kind of board admin (?) or something (?)....I don't know - so I say with all due respect....the Buffalo Bills Football Vault story is nearly two months old. How about filing it someplace "below the fold" and bump some of the real stories.
-
If this happens i consider this one of the best offseasons we have had in a little while!!!!!
And whoa....THAT is saying a lot!
-
Some of you guys are getting pretty obsessed with these QBs that declare early.
There are potentially 4 QBs to go in the top 10 next year......you think they are obsessed now? One week after this years draft?
Holy Crap....the hype is coming down the tracks in the form of a runaway locomotive and it only gets worse from here.

Robert Griffin III - Radio Interview with Dan Patrick
I want to be careful not to use the phrase "...he was well spoken..." - All too often that phrase can be misunderstood as racist - indicating that you are suprised a black man speaks so well.
I wasn't impressed so much with his "well-spokenness" as I was with just how stinkin' smart he sounded.
His answers were sure and confident, and he never once gave the impression that he was goofy.
Just a straight up smart young man - who sounded football smart.
And...by the way...to Dan Patrick's point...how awesome would it be if the walked into his combine interviews carrying the Heisman Trophy to make the statement and reminder that he won the award and not the other guy.
