Wind, shmind, how will the overhang roof hold up heavy snow?

Ha - I was actually thinking about this.  It looks like the overhang at least slopes away from the edges so people shouldn't be crushed by glaciers falling on them - but snow is going to accumulate along the middle line.  Wonder how many feet of snow the engineers have factored in for max load  😛

Illness?  Hope the virus that hit other teams isn't ripping through the Bills.  Just more adversity.

After reading through the posts in this topic, I have canceled my Las Vegas Super Bowl reservations and I'm preparing various Mock drafts  lol.

We should tank this game for better draft position

No handicap sticker. Fortunately she gets around extremely well but with the potential for heavy snow and cold would prefer she didn’t need to walk a mile before and after the game.

Yeah I was just going to update I actually initially mis-read her age as 86 😛

Relative to regular parking I would think yeah you'd have to get there early to get close in a regular lot - and then be prepared to wait a while after for the lot to clear.

I asked in the tailgate forum but seems to be limited activity there. I am bringing my 68 year old mother to her first playoff game Sunday and got Pepsi Club tickets. I normally park in a private lot but am considering parking in lot 7 due to its proximity to the club. If we get to the stadium by 10:30 should we be able to get a space or do you need a pre-purchased pass? It says on the site it is a public lot. Also, is the lot unbearable to exit at the end of the game. I know traffic is always an issue but some lots are worse.

Does she have a car handicap placard?  If so - park in one of the two ADA lots next to the stadium.  That is the best thing going if you have it.

Also - if you have a wheelchair you can wheel her in throgh the VIP gate and staff can direct you to elevators that are behind unmarked doors located outside the stadium.  If she walks in, you can still get stadium staff to take her up to the level in a wheelchair once you enter the gate.

My (89 yr old) Dad still gets around, but long walks are tough for him.  A few years ago we started using his handicap placard (which he normally never uses) to park in the ADA lot, and got him to swallow his pride and wheel him in with a transport wheelchair he has from some old injury - it is so much easier for him and makes the day go much smoother.

The cursing did stand out to me when I binge-watched the first 5 episodes last night.  Can you imagine McDermott cussing like a sailor in every team meeting and practice? 😂

I've noticed this in other Hard Knocks seasons - there always seems to be a coach at some level that seems to be trying to drop F bombs every other word to show some kind of toughness or something, but it usually backfires to me to just make them look stupid

McDaniel has just “led” his team to their second collapse in as many seasons.  Excuses for him abound, but he is just not a head coach; not a leader.  He is an arrogant d bag on top of that.  He has a creative spin on the WCO as further developed and enhanced by Shanahan, but its success this year has been entirely predicated on the combination of unique offensive talents and primarily speed.  Take some of that away, and meh.  Clueless.  It’s a matter of time until he finds his way to the scrap heap of Dolphin coaches.

One of the things that influenced my opinion of him was a while back someone posted a podcast called the Playcallers that talked about the kyle shanahan/ mcvay tree.  They had interview snippets from a bunch of guys that were in that world. Whenever McDaniel was on there to me he was a real douche - trying to take credit for stuff and slyly throwing shade at the others

first time watching the in season hard knocks.  Gotta say I’m not impressed with McDaniel and it sure seems he’s lost the locker room.  His little quips and quirky responses are funny when they’re winning but it seems like they’re getting pretty tired of it, although that could just be how they edit the show.

I've always said that about him - the quirky word-salad nerd stuff plays when things are going great - but when things are tough are players really going to look at that and think this guy is a great leader of men

I've been purposely avoiding watching this Dolphin version hard knocks - but I'll defnitely check out this week's

Dodson will likely need surgery for the labrum in the offseason, it wont repair itself but you can kind of play through it and deal with the pain when the shoulder comes out of the joint and moves around.  I know from first hand experience.  It is likely he will be limited if he does play.

I remember Taron's rookie season he hurt his shoulder the first game - and kept playing througout the year and flying around like a missle until he would inevitably have to come out of a game with his arm hanging by his side - then unbelievably show back up again.  Eventually they shut him down for surgery with 4 games left - he was playing the whole time with a torn labrum.  Not sure I've ever been more impressed by a player playing through injury.

And with a few exceptions there definitely seems to be an anti-Bills/anti-Josh Allen sentiment...and that's a good thing.

The average take today goes this way: Dolphins were injured, Josh was bad, Miami should have won but they blew it. On several shows the Bills/Dolphins game and Buffalo's miracle climb to the 2nd seed wasn't even the lead story. But I'm fine with this. I hope the Bills are lucky and Josh is "bad" all the way to las Vegas. Last year the Bills were the media darlings and we fell short. This year our "window is closed" blah blah.  But I always felt like Buffalo succeeds more when they are disrespected. So I say keep it coming.

So many still pushing the lazy Josh turnover narrative citing 2 ints with no context  Had respect for those that recognized or corrected that the 2nd was just trying to make something out of nothing on a 4th down after the play broke down, and actually resulted in better field position

It could be McDaniel just not running it as well it’s tough for me to say without being in the organization haha but it’s so odd to me that it’s like the same two-three route combinations all day that tua is throwing in the same amount of time at the same location on the field.  They’re never gonna consistently beat good teams this way it just isn’t possible.  My suspicion based on seeing tua pre McDaniel is tua is the issue but there’s no way to know for sure.

seeing McDaniel praised as some offensive guru kind of makes me chuckle honestly lol.

But he puts people in motion :w00t:

Wonder if all the media who've been bowing to the quirky greasy innovative genius are going to start to change their takes

  11. The one he tripped on, when they showed the replay it seemed like that db was going to get it even if Gabe didn't trip.  The morning shows are going to eat that up as a reckless josh int - but it was 4th down so he just chucked it up after the play broke down.

On the Diggs overthrow I feel like the shoulder injury is affecting Josh's long throws - he doesn't seem to be getting as much loft on them, that one came out really flat
