  1. I'm going to be in San Francisco for a couple of days next week, and I was wondering what is the best way to get to and from SFO airport.

I was planning on taking the BART from the airport to the last stop on the downtown SF line, then taking a cab from there to my hotel at Fisherman's Wharf.

Is the extra effort worth the money you save from not taking a cab straight from the airport to the hotel?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out!

I don't know what a cab costs from sfo to the wharf - but I think supershuttle would probably be about $20 one way on a shared ride into the City.

Still, from the Embarcadero Bart (catch a cab at the Hyatt) to the wharf can't be very much via cab (1.5 mile tops).

  2. Not too shabby....obviously took after her mother!

Janet Jones buzzed around the town on Long Island where I grew up for about a year in the early to mid eighties when she was dating Vitas Gerulaitis.

We used to hang out around this lunchenette/newstand that was open past midnight. They would pull up in the whatever 150k two seaterr that Gerulaitis was driving that day. She'd get out to pick up smokes and we would just leer. She was probably no older than 20 and had the longest legs outside of a giraffe - made longer with the elevator heels.

She was the singular hottest chick I'd ever seen to that point. wow.

  3. The legacy of the AAFC and early Bills was passed on to me at an early age. My dad saw the original Bills when he was in his early teens and always brought the greats of that era into the mix during discussions. He remembered Ratterman and Mutryn on the Bills, but would rave about the powerhouse Cleveland teams with Otto Graham, Motley, and Lavelli. Frankie Alberts, Joe Perry on the 49ers. I think even Tom Landry (coach of the Cowboys) played for the AAFC's NY club. Great stuff.
