I was just watching Tuesday's episode of Path to the draft. Casselry selected Nelson has is great day 2 draft pick. Here's some of what he said. Nelson's a great receiving threat at tight end. No defense, unless they have a great cover safety, can cover Nelson with a linebacker. Evans can't be left alone one on one or he will beat you bad and combine that with Owens on the other side and Nelson will reap the benefits of all that attention being taken away and have a field day. He also said Nelson will be of help to the blocking game. I sure hope he's right.

Donte "Guaranteed Garbage" Whitner. How 'bout "John McCantgo". Let's hope Shawn Nelson doesn't become Shawn "Willie" Nelson. I know, that was horrendous.

I posted a nickname on another thread and thought it would be a great idea to come up with some nicknames for our newly acquired Bills and some that's been here for a while. My brother calls Demitrius Bell, "DaMeatBell", and I think it's a pretty cool nickname. I also like Eric "Laying the" Wood. The Two Aaron's (Maybin and Schobel) can be called "American Airlines", because of the two A's in their first names. I also call Schobel, "The Bull". Anyone else got any good nicknames?

I just checked out Joel Bell on NFL.com. He looks like a promising prospect. Much more promising than Dameatbell, like my brother likes to call him, IMO. At least he can put up 27 reps. Demetrius only put up only 6, right? I guess the only thing that remains to be seen is if he (J. Bell) can handle elite competition at the NFL level.

I agree, but this IS the Bills' coaching staff we're talking about. Not really known for shrewd decision making, if you ask me. My point is this, if they had their heart set on LW playing LT then LW should lode at least 30 to 35 lbs (at least), first.

Langston's just gonna have to lose 30 to 35 lbs if he expects to play at LT. Hell, I lost 14 pounds in 15 days and I don't get paid five million a season.

I'm not too worried about LW playing LT against the AFC East. All of those team run a 3-4 defense and most of those DE's are larger and slower. It's the non 3-4 teams that worry me the most. And then again, the 3-4 defense also utilizes quick OLBers to rush the passer, that's where we will have the most problems against the 3-4.

Brett Favre was finally released by the NY Jets. He was taken off of the retired list. He has no plans to return, but if he does, he is free to sign with any team in the league. Here's an interesting question. If, God forbid, Trent Edwards is knocked out for the year and Favre wanted back into the league, would you sign him to a one year deal or would you rather hand the job over to Ryan Fitzpatrick? I, personally, would rather go with Favre. How about you?

I like this pick a lot. So what if he doesn't amaze at the combine? This kid has great instincts. Give him a year or two and he will be a starter.
