Sorry powers that be. This should have started in the Shoutbox. If it was a real injury then it would have been a good post.
-
I heard he was in the medical tent and have not heard anything further. Hoping for an update.
As bad as a Monday could be for the new regime that both pick ups are injured by Monday...
-
If I'm him, I say trade me or watch me go into a funk. I did my best to talk Mac and others to come here because I believed McDermott/Beane were planning to both walk and chew gum by building for the future, but start by building a winning ethic.
These trades have clearly set the tone for what we are shooting for in 2017 (which is 2018). For Bills fans the Sabres are looking good right now.
He was my first thought. Then I thought of Kyle Williams. Thought he brought him back and said he wasn't going to tear apart the team...

I love free speech. I love this country. Just be aware that actions have consequences. If he's going to hate a certain group and call them pigs then don't expect those people to want you on their team or buy tickets. It's a valid response to his actions. A more productive thing to do than name call might be to come together in peace and harmony and work together to solve your differences.
Personally I think more training and more public awareness for how to deal with law enforcement would be a big help. Kaepernick should offer to be in a psa video about this is what to do if you are pulled over or this is what to do if confronted by police.
Basically there are millions of ways to make a point. People aren't hating on him for the point he made (well calling Police pigs, not really original, but also wrong) but the way he chose to do it!!!! Way to offend a HUGE population of people that have NOTHING to do with the point you are making if it was primarily about the police... Even if he had other points, YOU DID IT WRONG!!!

A qb coming off a 16 td, 4 int season on possibly the worst offensive team in the NFL not getting a backup job is a joke in a league that gives guys like Vick, Mixon, & Hardy second chances.
If a team picks him up and he's a backup for a solid starter, he will fade into the background. Of course if the starter struggles, it will be crazy.
A team with a solid starter, minus the Ravens (I believe are getting so much press purely to push the KP agenda) would not pick him up. They don't need the negativity he brings since they have a solid starter. Only reason to put up with it is if you are looking to start him. Throughout the season he will still be brought up for every injury also. It's not going to go away so easy.

It's time for espn to get out of the sports biz and give CNN/MSNBC some more competition.
Only if no one eventually picks him up. If a team does.
It will never end...
Does the new offense fit his strengths? How does he look in camp? Is he pushing for a starting role? Does he put his right shoe on first or his left?
-
If you look closely you'll see it's number 3, not number 5.
HAHA, That actually makes more sense!
With Gronk, Edelmen, Bennet also on the field. Wonder why he didn't have huge stats?
3 guys the Bills could have had themselves because of cap room or draft availability...
-
Not a Tyrod hater but you realize this was his fault and not Hogan's right? He under threw it. Chris beat both the safety and the CB on him that started 7 yards back.
Just saying...

Reportedly Mike McCoy.
McDermott. McCoy. McBills.
McMafia

Letting go of a perfectly capable QB and judging him on his play with WRs that would not make another NFL roster is incredibly foolish. If this happens, hello 20 years with no playoffs. May have a QB nearly as good by then... But most likely not. He makes our offensive lines pass blocking look amazing. How many times is he scrambling out of tackles. I would say he is THE BEST scrambling QB in the NFL and would have probably 20-30 more sacks if it was anyone else. The Bills win too many games and found a top half quality QB... Sign him and use every Draft pick on WRs.

I had this dawn on me just now, (excuse me if I am late on this) if The Don had bought the Bills I am sure he wouldn't have been able to run for president.. Thought it would be interesting to see what else people think may have changed.

I don't think he was a dead man walking last season---he shot himself. Admittedly the GM did him no favors. But if really was the GM, why did Rex try so hard to keep that job? He was THE hottest HC prospect in the offseason. Why would someone want to keep a job if they feel they are being undermined by their boss, when they have many other options? I'm sorry, I just can't believe their fate was all on the GM.
As hard as we are on Marrone and Hackett (with reason) I think they did a better job of coaching than Rex did to get that team to 8-8. Basically the same circumstances, no?
No doubt. I'm not going to go crazy with optimism based on a couple preseason games. But the Bills QBs are a total train wreck as many have proclaimed--and continue to, it seems.
To your first question I would say both the players and his ego. He cares about his players and that was his team, at least what was left of it. He would have liked to see his players on his team succeed. Ego, he obviously has an ego and saying he couldn't succeed in NY was saying he wasn't good enough to make it work there. Truth was that team was a disaster and his hands were tied by the GM. They wont be any better this year either unless Fitzy has a few strong games in a row.
Marrone and Hackett, don't make me laugh. Marrone was an Oline coach and last year we had pretty much the worst Oline in the league. This year with practically the same line plus a retread and a rookie all the sudden our line looks strong. Marrone was an idiot. Speaking of idiots, if you looked at some play calling last year from Hackett that the majority was a hand off down the middle behind our biggest weakness on 1st down. That didn't go well. Bet they wont think we will do that again, let hand off down the middle 2nd down. Damn, that didn't work either. They would never guess we would try that 3 times in a row. Yes they would. He did that foolishness all year!
Not many people are saying T-Mobile is a train wreck. NFL.com is saying B+.

We spoke about nicknames and in that thread someone asked for a poll. Here it is.
-
From what I can tell Amish Rifle is the favorite. Personally I thought Grizpatrick just worked but lets make this final.
-
jaws 2 wasn't exactly a masterpiece either.
Turn the flame off. It works. Well I like it.
-
I have seen some sad excuses for nicknames for Fitzpatrick, worst that comes to mind is Fitzbeard...
Let it be known. Ryan Fitzpatrick = Grizpatrick!
Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Failure was evident from the start for Gailey. He is a POOR evaluator of talent, obvious when he wasn't starting McKelvin probably the Bills best defender not to mention he thought the QB and LT could handle the position for another year. This is a horrible position for someone who cannot recognize a good player from a poor one. He is not the right coach for the Bills and I hope this is recognized right away. Giving ANY credit at all to him this is a bad team for him to manage but in that case they need to hire someone NEW to help evaluate talent coming in. That is TRYING my best to give him the benefit of the doubt.
-
How could he dare do it? Just shows you his heart was never in the game. I doubt another team will pick him up next year.... That was the last play of his career.
Reminds me of Drew Bledsoe throwing the ball away out of bounds against the Eagles on 4th down...

I'll say Whitner with 2

From what I have read so far Kyle Williams is going to start in the middle but I would not write off Troup. I watched alot of UCF games for the last few years, since I live in Orlando and went to school there, and he was blowing up the middle regularly taking on 2 defenders and still getting at the QB and disruptive on most downs. UCF played a number of high quality teams last year as well, East Carolina, Southern Miss, Miami, Texas, UAB and Rutgers. They lost most of those games but most were close and usually because of the offense. The team reminds me alot of the Bills actually where the defense keeps the team in games for so long till they were worn out from being on the field the whole time. Either way Troup was a regular stand out in the games. He will probably be a back up to start but he will play and be a good player for the Bills.

Guess in year one we already have our answer on how the Nix/Gailey changes will be. Much more of the same thing... Mediocrity... People deserve second chances. Ben would make the Bills an instant playoff possibility and no #9 and #100 and what ever pick is going to give that kind of results. Even if they picked a QB with the first or second rounder, Big Ben is one of the top 5 QBs in the NFL. Clausen/Tebow are not going to do that this year. If he was as old as McNabb and possibly have 3 years left in the tank that would be one thing, but Roethlisberger is going to be good for 10+ years. Very disappointed. Need to capitalize on other teams misfortunes rather then pick up their garbage like the Bills have been doing for 10+ years.

yes your totally right:
even statistics disagree with you:

-And yes im 21 (Correct on 1 thing), Graduated in 2007. Lowest ever drop out rate year
Seriously, people were just having fun with the fact that you had not seen a classic movie and then took notice of tbarrett"2030". Honestly, everyone here has been overly generous not to say more to you about MANY other posts that you have created to respond in your defense which have been total failures. All in all, we are all Bills fans here and don't take things so personal.
As for Mike in Syracuse I have posted in the past about how being a Bills fan is apart of your heart and soul. I agree with another post that mentioned you just feel dirty cheering for another team. There is another angle that Bills fans have to think about more and more which is the fact that the Bills may no longer be in Buffalo or even be the "Bills" any longer. Most of the time being a fan of the team you will always be able to look to the future to finally have the Championship moment and you can hold that thought to help carry you through the grind of, in our case, a decade of failure. I know Mike's not going anywhere and neither am I, but part of what a fan needs to go through another rebuilding phase for a team is not really there for the Bills and you just start to question things just to keep some sanity. You start looking at those jerseys in your drawer of players that RW has decided to let go even though they were important to the team and to you. Start thinking of how much money you spend on a team and where it is going and if you really want that anymore.
Sucks that this is our situation. BUT if hell freezes over and the Bills hit the lottery on a good coach, probably a no name one since it seems any of the notable ones aren't coming, and draft a real QB, some supporting lineman and go find some LBs that are bigger then 230 lbs that can survive a season and the Bills WIN THE SUPERBOWL!!! No other teams fans will feel that joy like us Bills fans will.
So Boldin retired?

He did not look good against the Eagles. Almost fell on himself in a route, didn't fight for the pass that Darby intercepted. Not sure he would have started for the team. Think that was a factor.
