I'll admit it:  I have draft fever, bad.   I'm coming here every day, every night, looking for news.   Any trades?   Any credible rumors?  Did McBeane say anything?  Are the Browns on the clock yet?   Did Belichick fart in his sleep?

I can't help myself.   I bite on almost anything.

    GIVE ME SOME NEWS!!!!

Will the draft EVER get here?

    Not here yet?

    How about now?   Still no?

    This is agony.

Rumors, oh we have them.  Credible?  There is no such thing pre-draft.  Enjoy the gossip though.

So fans stopped selling out because they were too depressed after 3 Super Bowls?

Seemed like it.  It was a weird year even a weird atmosphere to start the game, the tailgate included, kind of disappointing it was only a wild card birth.  Just different from the other playoff games in previous years, not as much excitement.  And I am just referring to playoffs, as the Bills attendance has always been lower in December, no matter what the record.

I don't know why that game was blacked out.  I was there and I've heard stories from at least 100,000 other people that say they were too  (actual attendance 75,141 which would be a sell-out at all but 6 NFL stadiums today I think).

I don't remember it being 75k, I thought it was much lower.  But maybe I am just thinking of the second half when everyone from the upper deck moved to the seats that were vacated in the lower bowl at half time.

I sit in row 1 and tend to look around the stadium prior to every game.  There's nothing like the opener looking around a jam packed house.  The Houston game had a lot of walk up ticket sales IIRC, but I don't think it was 75k, but could be wrong...

I will never understand why so many people think the weather for Bills games is so much worse than the weather for other teams.

Not to mention - both teams are playing in the same !@#$ing weather.  The myth that "the Bills are more comfortable in wintery conditions," is crap.

I don't think anyone really believes that any more.  It used to be though....

"when it's too cold for them, it's just right for us!"

The Bills comeback playoff game vs Houston was a black out.

Bills fans are great but it's a small market. It's just reality. A closed stadium would attract more fans. They need it.

Yes, that was the end of the run.  Previous to that, the stadium was full.  And if this team is not just in the hunt, but one of the top teams in December, the games will sell out.  It's not a "small market" argument, it's all about winning.

It's happened in the 90's, many empty seats. Bills are the cheapest deal in the NFL and we struggle to fill our stadium. We were 24th last year and made the playoffs for the 1st time in 17 years. Not even the hype of the playoffs helped.

Towards the end of the run of 4 SB's attendance started to dip.  But when Kelly and crew began that run, it was a full house every game, no matter what time of year.

Roger Goodell and some owners like Mara from the Giants have been vocal about Buffalo getting a new stadium.

What better way to try to speed up the process then to give Buffalo fans more games late in the year: Weather is worse, and fans might get cranky and speaking louder about the hopes of a new domed stadium.

I would not put anything past greedy Goodell and the owners on this one.

The only reason Bills fans do not "currently" like late home games is because 99% of the time, at least during the past 17 or so years, they are meaningless.  Good teams prefer late games at home late in the season.  In the late 80's/ early 90s, 3 out of the last 4 games at home would have been fantastic.  This is actually a good thing if the Bills are a good team.

  7. Ruben Brown, Donald Jones teaming up for 'Buffalo Soldiers' podcast

    http://buffalonews.com/2018/04/19/ruben-brown-donald-jones-teaming-up-for-buffalo-soldiers-podcast/

Donald Jones and Ruben Brown may have played football for the Buffalo Bills during different eras, but now they’ve decided to team up for a new sports podcast called "The Buffalo Soldiers," slated to debut during the week of the 2018 NFL Draft.

They said they plan to talk about sports in general, not just football. And when they do talk football, it will be about the entire league and not just the Bills.

“We’ll have a Bills piece for sure and every episode will have a full Bills segment. But we’ll also have other topics going on and guests in the studio – players, celebrities, and different analysts throughout the whole NFL, and the entertainment industry,”

The Buffalo Soldiers podcast will be filmed on Monday nights at McFadden’s Saloon, a popular Bills-backer bar based in New York City. When it starts to get more traction, Jones and Brown want to literally take their show on the road and travel to different Bills-backer bars around the country.

“We’ll shoot those shows on Saturday nights,” Jones explained. “So, if the Bills are playing in Miami one week, we’ll go down there, find a Bills backer bar and go all out.”

They should have called the show The Homer Hour

I never got this argument, but hear it all the time.  The studio is located at One Bills Drive, it doesn't get any more "homer" than that.  Would you rather have someone B word about the Bills incompetence throughout the whole show?  We get enough of that here....

Do you think Aaron's spiel to Oceanside work?

Yes, looked like they were joining the fight in the previews.

The helicopter and the flare's, wtf?

The Saviors holding Rick and Morgan are rattled by walkers?  It's like they are seeing them for the first time and running scared.  Maybe just close the door after going inside?  Lame...

I thought Negan going to head to head with Simon was a brilliant move to solidify the Saviors.

    Simon's zombified body was awesome!

Update: I’m staying at Salvatore’s and I’ll probably watch the draft at Santoras. Thank you guys (except for the pig dic*ks) for all your help

Good choice!  As long as it's the one on Transit.

For the sake of all things Holy, please don’t come to Buffalo and go to TGI Friday’s.

Amherst Ale House is my pick. Not anywhere near DT but awesome environment and decently priced beers (pizza and wings ain’t bad, too)

Amherst Ale House pizza and wings "ain't bad"?   The Ale House pizza and wings are very good. Top 10 for wings in the Buffalo area, love the Crown Royal BBQ (Finished on the grill and coated again...)....

Actually the bolded was not cheap, was a damn good deal for the Bills to get a 3rd for him. I don't consider a 3rd round pick very "cheap". Anyways, this is kind of a silly thread IMO, but oh well, carry on....

At least it's original and not the "I wanted my post to stick out, aka LAMP, and not put it in the other thread already discussing this topic in great detail"...

Just caught up on the last three episodes. I'm hanging in there, but the Saviors storming Hillside with a group of archers against sub-machine guns was pretty ridiculous. And Rick spraying machine gun fire all over, but never hitting Negan once was very implausible, as well.

The scene where the injured turned into walkers was reminiscent of the prison scene when they were "attacked" from within.  I just don't see how they didn't have anyone on guard.  I understand why the did it that way, so the hillside would know Negan is resorting to "chemical warfare", but it just didn't make any sense to me...I am in it until the end and do still enjoy most of the show for some reason.  I really like the book that Maggie was given, it provides a little glimpse of hope...
