  1. I posted this on another topic, but applies here as well:

What were everyones expectations going into this "scrimmage"? This was JP's first action of the year with only one week on training camp under his belt. I was more concerned with how well he knew the plays, did he look confortable, would he scramble every down. I think he handled all 3 of my concerns rather well. The completion percentage was the least of my concerns, it really doesn't matter. He is progressing very well and has another month before the season starts. Were going to grow with this kid and there will be some bad and some good, that's to be expected. With our defense all he has to do is not lose games, a la Drew Bledsoe. LET'S GO BUFFALO..............I am so psyched for the opener!!!!!

  3. As I stated in another thread,  I thought it was an encouraging sign to see JP try to throw the ball to Reed instead of running it.  It was the wrong decision on that particular play,  but in the big picture,  it shows that JP can keep his composure and his wits about him when flushed from the pocket and maintain his focus on his recievers down the field.  A lot of young QBs don't have the presence of mind to do that.  And as you say,  it was thrown where either Reed was going to catch it,  or no one would.

They didn't want the QB's running, since they couldn't get hit. That's why JP forced the throw near the end zone. Over all he looked good for 1 week of camp under his belt.
