Can't remember if it was this superbowl, or the other Dallas superbowl, but didn't the bills punt at one point from like the 50, and Dallas ran it back for like 35 yards, turning up a net punt of like 15 yards? Just terrible

Rick Tuten had a 19-yard punt the super bowl against the Giants...talk about horrible.

    Of course not

I just don't believe McDermott was the reason they made the playoffs in 2017. They made the playoffs despite his incredibly bad coaching decisions that included his defensexgiving up 296 rush yards at home to the Saints, starting Peterman on the road, and playing for a tie in OT.

It was TT that beat the Dolphins twice in three weeks and a miracle from the Benglas that ended the drought

The team in 2017 was a mess, the o-line was a joke, Taylor a career backup, Kelvin Benjamin was our top WR...What has happened since then?  You are acting like the team has gone the opposite direction.  We won the AFC East 4 years straight and are right there with the top teams in the AFC.

    3rd place schedule

Lucky win by Benglas over Ravens

    Opportunistic defense

Bills were outscored by almost 50 points on the season

Oh yeah and McDermott played for a tie in the Colts snow OT game when a tie would have meant Bills missed the playoffs.

lol please the team was coming out of 17 years of hibernation. I suppose you think they had the talent to win it all that year.

Yeah this is what I was going to say. Probably a top 3 play in franchise history and it was a perfect McDermott red zone defense.

Don't recall Josh Allen on the drought teams

And remember he played Peterman on the road when Bills were in playoff hunt.

Bills were in the playoff hunt in 2017.  Gee I wonder why.  How much talent was on that roster?

I want people to list off some of McDermotts best coaching moments that you can remember which directly impacted the outcome of a game in a positive way. You guys think McDermott deserves another year? Prove it and post each scenario/evidence as to why you believe McDermott deserves another shot.

He has been a winning coach since he's been here.  I guess you forgot how horrible we were before that.  My work here is done.

  6. I think Poyer could probably play another year.  Hyde seems to be saying goodbye...and probably plans to hang it up.  They are both 100% class acts.  Secondary will be strange without them.

Perhaps Hyde will get into coaching??  Time will tell.

I re-watched it this morning and it couldn't have been more obvious it was a fake punt. Regardless of whether Mayock knew, every Chiefs players on the field knew, along with every fan in the stadium and every person watching. It was just so incredibly stupid and such an obvious choke moment from the HC. Another in a long line of instances where McD was just in over his head in a big situation.

Only harm that was done as a result was KC took some time off the clock.  We took the ball back on that drive anyway.  This isn't why the game was lost.

Wow, you are one of those extreme type people, yes you are correct my logic is to pull him out of the game for preservation, precisely what I alluded to you got me. So by your logic then, even though he is about to get thoroughly blasted at the knees or has three different defenders ready to take him out, he should just let it happen on every down, every time he touches the ball, just to get a yard or two to make it second and six rather than second and eight. Maybe that helps you understand how ridiculous you sound. In your job, whatever it is that you do which I imagine has nothing to do with any sort of use of physical anything….try repeatedly falling out of your computer chair deliberately, knowing full well what is going to happen. Smacking your head, getting a concussion, breaking your neck, etc. then come and talk to me about constantly putting your body through something for nothing, one yard or two because some fan says you don’t work hard enough. Up 21 nothing doesn’t win any game when there is still more than half the game left. You sound really reasonable, I bet your significant other really enjoys your all or nothing conversations and arguments. Get lost, don’t waste anymore of my time, you have no logic or understanding. And your whole come on man shtick is really pretty stupid, but I guess that matches your thought processes as well. See ya, don’t waste my time.

Don't expect your number 1 WR to play hard cause he gonna get hurt.  Please buddy you are a waste of time.  Maybe look up the Dallas Cowboys.  They are your type of team.

I do believe that was answered in my first line, the part where I talk about a Super Bowl run as opposed to one single game. Maybe that’s a question you need to ask yourself. Like it or not, if Diggs gets knocked out of the game, and/or future games, because he tried for one extra meaningless yard after the catch, that will inevitably hurt the offense and the whole entire team. So again, big picture=Super Bowl, small picture=one game (meaningless YAC). Play smart=body/team preservation. There are already enough injuries from meaningless plays or after tackle injuries. If a first down is needed or the end zone is right there, I guarantee Diggs will push his body and risk the injury.

Hell we were up 21-0.  Why was Diggs even in the game at that point?  According to your logic, McD should have pulled him to "preserve" him for the next game.  Maybe that's why he comes off the field so often on 3rd down...preservation. Come on man.

Not really sure how looking at the big picture, a Super Bowl run, is smaller than looking at an individual game…that comment makes no sense whatsoever. You act like Diggs doesn’t hit anyone or doesn’t ever get hit or hasn’t gotten hit for the last eight years or so of his professional life. To compare Diggs and Shakir physically or physicality at this point in each of their respective careers is a little ridiculous. That’s like trying to compare Diggs career accomplishments to Shakir’s career accomplishments, obviously Diggs will have much better stats. It’s the same in this case as well, Diggs has been beat up for a lot longer than Shakir, is significantly older than Shakir, and Shakir is just starting his career. Everything you have said is very very small picture, and even small minded. Thinking about the future is not a “…smaller way of looking at it…” lol. And I’m not really sure how it can get smaller than one single 60 minute game.

What is the ultimate goal?  Win a few games or win a championship?

So…lay it all on the line, even at the expense of not participating in the rest of the game or any game that follows, really? This is a very small way to look at it. Davis is out already, but hey f*** it, let’s lose our number one receiver as well. Come on this is almost as bad as the original post, almost🙄. Also, Josh is monster of a man, he doesn’t get hit, he hits and by being the one that hits you are preserving your body because you know how you want that collision to go down. Same thing for Diggs, if he is doing the hitting, he is fine. But when one of monsters is going to clean out your legs why risk it. Dude is worker.

Looking at "preserving yourself" for the next playoff game is a smaller way of looking at it.  Shakir could have slid down too.  Come on man.  Diggs is playing WAY too soft lately - so soft that he looks afraid to get hit most of the time.

Allen with the blatant fake slide on the long run, then later draws a 15 yard penalty on a late hit on slide where the defender didn't hit his head.....but can you blame him for going for the tackle based on the fake earlier?

The slide is a play intended to protect the QB, not to do what Allen did.  That was garbage.

A stutter step is a "fake slide"?  Please.  Clearly you know the intent Josh had there because you are Josh himself. LMAO  He was juking the defender, maybe he should have just jumped over him but that would give you nothing to cry about.  Ref's can't even get calls right when reviewing replay and now you want them to get "inside" the players head and throw a flag for a supposed "fake slide".  Please.

Yeah it was pretty egregious the way they manipulated the video with slow-mo to speed up a little just as they pretended it hit 'muths helmet.

Clearly the NFL was tired of all the lopsided wildcard matchups.

Yup - they want games to be close, especially in the playoffs.  There is no other explanation for reviewing a play and STILL F'ing up the call.  Clearly the fumble was recovered in bounds.

Have you not watched him play for the past 3 years?

He always goes down to avoid contact unless he is already on the run.  That's his way of preserving his body to prolong his career and stay healthy.

I agree - he has to preserve his body.  However, this is the playoffs man.  Either win or go home.  Do you think Josh was worried about preserving his body on that 52 yard TD run?  During the post season do you to lay it all on the line, or preserve your body for next season?

  15. I had the same thought......
