True people talk about following the Patriots model when building a program, but I don't think anybody emphasizes enough their ability aquire draft picks. In fact I wouldn't mind seeing the Bills trade down in the first round for additional picks, they usually blow that pick anyway why not get something for it.Interesting analysis, Dibs. I think your caveat about "small sample size" and "lot of factors" can't be over-emphasized. Also, we ran a rather pedestrian run-heavy offense this year, anddid not take advantage of Stevie - many plays SJ was open and EJ didn't see him. Still, your analysis backs the "eyeball test" that said the offense didn't look remarkably different when he played.
All that said, I would be strongly adverse to the concept of the Bills releasing SJ, just like I would be strongly adverse to the Bills releasing any quality player they have under contract. Such players should not be let go for nothing... they should be traded for value. That's how NE builds a zillion draft picks.

I thought it was a lousy hire when they announced it, then Crossman took a top special teams unit right to the bottom. The fact he still has a job at 9:30 on black monday pisses me off, he should have been shown the door with Ike Hilliard today, it tells me Marrone is thinking about keeping him.I think he will feel like it will blow over.
And it probably will.
The fire crossman sentiment was felt here and there all season, but no one was hell bent on it. The only reason we all are now is because of rawness of yesterday's loss. Give it another week and it will die down.

As a defensive starter prior to 2013 Leodis Mckelvin had first round bust written all over him, look what they gave him and what he did this year. If the current regime really likes AC don't be surprised what they give him.Carrington in my opinion has not played enough under the current regime to make any clear statement about.
if they like him still sign him. Simple enough
Some folks here have a Eugene Parker hangover. Rightly so , but Bills wont overpay for what appears a rotational guy .

Hey, isn't the spread supposed to move the other way when you announce your starting QB isn't playing hmmm....I've seen the point spread move from NE-9 to -7.5 in spite of Bills injuries. I definetly think it favors the underdog.

True it happened right here in Buffalo with Wade PhillipsJason Garrett comes to my mind right away. Offensive coordinator for Wade Phillips ...when Wade got fired Jones hired Garrett head coach...it does happen in the NFL.

Hey dont lose any sleep over it, my point was when we were going to Super Bowls New England fans were driving from Boston during the regular season to support a division nemisis that was superior to them. At the same time I met a lot of A-hole NY Jets Fans and lets face it the Miami fans didn't have the nerve to come into Rich stadium and show their distaste for the Bills, I just thought the Pats fans were an example of classy football fans at the time.yeah, ny33 ill try tho.
of all the bickering and insanity on this board, this comment by far, is the most heartbreaking and morale killing post i have ever read. to know there is a bills fan out there somewhere who actually pulls for the pats to win in january.. i just.. idk man. this actually exists? is this real life?
nothing against you martifal, you're allowed to root for a division nemesis in the postseason (i guess), but this is just mind blowing. you're not even indifferent? you actually pull for them? i dont think ill be able to go to sleep tonight

Before moving away from the Buffalo area I was a season ticket holder during the Kelly years, for some reason some of the seats close to mine were often filled with people coming from out of town. I couldn't begin to count how many times those seats were filled by Patriots fans that drove up from Boston to see and route for the Bills, while their own team was struggling. They were good sports fans that came to the Ralph to see an exciting team play and be a part of the Bills home game experience which is second to none when they are winning, so as long as we are losing and the Patriots are winning I'll pull for the Patriots in January.

We were in serious cap trouble when those guys were released, thats not the case now. No Way they release him, he's still a very valuable asset to the Buffalo Bills.it was a sad day when we released Bruce Thurman and Andre all on the same day. Releasing Freddy who is this point in his career is simply an average back. Doesn't seem like such a big deal but I'm sure you guys on here on make it into a big deal, because you think he's way better than he is he's not the Fred Jackson of 2 years ago.

I was looking over the remaining schedules for the teams in the hunt for that final playoff spot, and if the Bills finish 4-1 they have a pretty good chance of making it.

Not to mention our top two defensive backs were out and we held Brady to 21 points. We were a ten point dog and nearly beat a perrenial Super Bowl contender. For the first time in a long time it appears we are building a legitimate playoff team. I can't believe some of the posts I'm reading on here.....Really? Week 1? Your rookie qb has a 105 qbr in his first game and we almost win the damn thing and we have retarded threads like this?

How sad is it that any film of a Bills playoff appearance looks antique. Wade benched the guy that got him there, the Bills have been cursed from that day forward. The Flutie Curse Continues, Doug were sorry we've been punished enough already.
